Pidj I hope you are on a chocolate binge! Well deserved Mrs xx

PetiteRaleuse · 11/02/2014 19:23

My children have been in bed by 8.15 two nights in a row.

ChasingDaisy · 11/02/2014 19:30

Bedtime took over an hour tonight. Stressed isn't the word.

ValiumQueen · 11/02/2014 20:21

Well done PR, and Chasing.

ValiumQueen · 11/02/2014 20:27

I have decided DD2 is not deaf. She is just a little shit.

And the dietician appointment has finally come through. Woo hoo.

(I do love her dearly, but My God she is trying Confused)

Passmethecrisps · 11/02/2014 20:28

Evening lovely ladies

Shares the anniversary

pikz that is a fantastic analogy and one I need to read again. Sadly work is getting worse BUT IT IS A LONG WEEKEND!!!!

Inservice day tomorrow then off for a few days!!

Who was it asked about sleeping more than 12 hours? P does at the weekends weirdly. 13 or 14 on a Sunday sometimes. I always put it down to the fact that she is woken during the week for my work and rarely naps properly at the weekend as we are out doing stuff and she will only nap in her cot.

Passmethecrisps · 11/02/2014 20:29

Who is trying? The dietician? Or DD2?

ChasingDaisy · 11/02/2014 20:55

Happy Anniversary pass! And yay to some time off work. Very well deserved.

Do you ever wish you could just step outside of your life for a while? Or pause it so you can have a breather? Feeling a bit like I'm on a runaway train at the moment...

ValiumQueen · 11/02/2014 20:56

DD2. I do not love the dietician. Not yet anyway. I might do. She might turn me and we might run away together. You never know. Stranger things have happened.

ValiumQueen · 11/02/2014 20:57

God Yes Chasing! If only there was a pause button. Rewind would not be a good idea nor would fast forward. But pause would be fab!

ValiumQueen · 11/02/2014 20:58

When I am thinking about work I am imagining a bouncing ball. It is very helpful.

BigPigLittlePig · 11/02/2014 21:20

Evening all.

Kyz I'm glad to hear E is doing better, such good news. Has his rash gone now?

Vq is she not just, erm, spirited?!

Det I'm not gonna lie, for just a few moments I was crippled with jealousy. We're lucky to get 12 hours of v disturbed sleep at the moment. Last night was worse than the previous, but was expecting that. F woke up maybe 8 or 9 times, just wanting to hold my hand, in the absence of a proper cuddle, but it was bloody uncomfortable lying like that!

GT good job dh got up with H. I thought he had settled down with the drinking. It is not what you need. Very glad that A was ok. Both me and my brother were dropped out of the car on occasion and we're totally fine

Had puppy training tonight, was good fun. L-dog got FILTHY with the combo of muddy puddles on the way there, then sawdust floor. Urgh!

When I dropped F at nursery today her wee friend came running up shouting her name. He can only say a few words, so am v honoured on F's behalf that one of them is F. They are double trouble.

Passmethecrisps · 11/02/2014 21:30

"Stop the world I want to get off!"

Just for a wee while.

And bp genuinely, the fact that p sleeps so beautifully honestly and truely puts me off having another because there is no way on earth we could be so lucky twice.

Passmethecrisps · 11/02/2014 21:32

Love that bp! We were in sainburys recently and this wee person yelped "p!!!" And wriggled down. P got all excited and ran towards her. Then they just stood and stared at each other with p occasionally pointing at the girl's coat. They were very happy though.

Passmethecrisps · 11/02/2014 21:33

Truely? Truely? If I handwrite those I would know. I blame computers

GTbaby · 11/02/2014 21:52

Pass you won't get two good sleepers from my experience. No way.
I finally got an hour in front of tv to myself. Grin
I want chocolate! But only choc in house is in the room with A. Worth the risk?

BP he has been ok recently. Has calmed down alot. But not stopped totally.

FatimaLovesBread · 11/02/2014 21:56

Evening all!

Still feeling rotten, just finished day 5 of a 7 day course of antibiotics and my throat still hurts and feels like it's got lump in it when I swallow and my ear is still blocked. Back to the doctors for me on Friday I think. ignores fact I've convinced myself I've got Adam's apple cancer

It's been snowing here! Stopped now but it's icy and I've got to drive M to my mums at 7am, my mum lives on a hill where weather is always worse than everywhere else.

Currently trying to organise a hen do for manchester, Newcastle, Bristol or Cardiff.

Don't seem to get a minutes rest at the moment. Will try catch up

BigPigLittlePig · 11/02/2014 22:10

Oooh do cardiff! Tis fab, spent my formative yrs there.

Pass, truly??!

Elizadoesdolittle · 11/02/2014 22:33

pass I have two of them. Weirdly it's what's making me hesitant about having a third. It's just not possible for me to have 3 good sleepers surely.

kyz glad E is better.

gt I'm sure your FH feels awful about the accident. This is going to sound like I'm blaming him and I'm really not but if he was hideously drunk last night, didn't sleep much and was then up early with H, he probably wasn't at his best. Glad A is ok. They are very resilient these babies.

Just back from watching Dallas Buyers Club. I found it uplifting considering it's such a sad subject matter.

Passmethecrisps · 11/02/2014 22:44

I am going to opt for trooly. I figure go wrong in style

StuntNun · 11/02/2014 22:44

I don't know Eliza I got three bad sleepers < sulks > so three good sleepers must be possible too.

OP posts:
Elizadoesdolittle · 11/02/2014 22:58

ok then stunt I'll try for a third, purely for research purposes Smile

GTbaby · 11/02/2014 23:15

Eliza I think the same. But he is feeling bad enough without me saying it.
He was going to go for a nap and I got mad and said no.
I was talking to him and distracted him while he was changing As nappy.

Anyway. Lots of ifs. As I've said to you here before. We will do things that hurt our kids. We will feel shit about it. Just got to move on and learn from our mistakes, guess its my turn to learn the lesson. Sad

StuntNun · 12/02/2014 06:31

It's very true GT, we hurt our kids sometimes even with the best intentions as we're only human and make mistakes.

Okay Eliza how about I go for number 4 and see if I can break the bad sleeper trend?

ChasingDaisy · 12/02/2014 06:38

Stupid fucking cough/teething/whatever else is the sodding matter has fucked up O's sleep. Am currently crying in bed with my pillow over my head whilst O does the same (minus pillow)
