hope Dd gets better Mrs bugs.

it is not that dh does nothing, he does give f here breakfast on the days she does not go to nursery so i can have a bit of a lie in. i am just so tired and the illnesses i am picking up do not help. i do think he could help out a bit more though. i may suggest getting her dressed for nursery. am getting him to do weekend bed times now x

JuniperTisane · 11/03/2014 11:18

Hello everyone, just back from a lovely weekend in Devon. Sorry more babies have been ill. Both boys haven't really had more than about 10 days properly well since DS1 started nursery in september. Its crap. I passed an MN milestone on friday evening when I caught DS1s vomit in my hand rather than let it land on the holiday sofa Hmm but he was ok really after that.

Daniel is still at the 'staggering across the room' stage so no walking to nursery or running here yet.

Glorious congratulations on an actual official promotion! Hope it works out this time.

salt careful suggesting dressing the baby - I suggested that to DH as one of his jobs once and he sent the poor boy to nursery in his PJs. DH pointed out that they weren't the same PJs as he had slept in though, so that's OK. Hmm

We've had two pretty awful nights in a row here, and DS has been grizzly all day. He hasn't had a solid nappy in ages and has awful nappy rash. Plus he's started making the funny gurgling noise he used to make before we got the gaviscon for his reflux. I think I need to take him back to the doctor. Planning to call my boss tonight and ask if I can take leave tomorrow so I can get a bit of sleep - she's really understanding and won't mind I'm sure.

Very impressed with Juniper's vomit catching skills. I'm still at the "staring at it in confusion" stage unfortunately.

Ran out of my Anti-depressants last week and DH keeps forgetting to pick them up for me. I managed to walk into town today and get them but I'm really feeling the effects of not having taken them. Having to take a lot of deep breaths at the moment and remind myself it will all seem better when the ADs kick in again!

CreepyCrawly · 11/03/2014 19:01

I thought I'd got away scot free, but 10 days after finishing bf I've got a big sore wedge. I've got my sister's wedding Saturday too.

Lovely photo juniper

Sorry to hear some of you are struggling. It does get a bit much sometimes doesn't it? Fingers crossed things improve soon Brew Cake

Angielka · 11/03/2014 19:40

Oh salt sounds rough. Hope you got a bit of a break today - none of us is super woman. Look after yourself. Flowers

Mrsbug hope DD's tongue is better. There's always masses of blood when it's anything to do with their mouths, isn't there?! Horrifying. Molly seems to split her lip on a regular basis and I'm sure her front teeth are slightly chipped

apple Molly loves running round the garden and playgrounds but we're still buggy-bound for the walk to nursery so far. She does toddle over to me when I come to pick her up though, waving both hands at me and shouting 'ello! ello! ello!' warms the heart, a welcome like that!

Oh photos!

salt1 · 11/03/2014 20:35

thanks for the sympathy it really does help. still feel ill and bad for how horrid i was to dh. i stayed in bed today till nursery pick up. i think i feel better for the rest x

JuniperTisane · 11/03/2014 20:40

Just caught up with the thread. Hope you're feeling a little better, salt. and cupcakes as well in a day or two. Urgh. Split lips, bleeding tongues... Mouths do just bleed and bleed and bleed.

fourlegstwolegs · 11/03/2014 21:50

Such lovely photos...they aren't babies any more are they...happy/sad!

I'm in a bad place because DP has decided he doesn't want to be with me - well actually, he knew that all along but decided to lie to me to make me "happy". For two years. So DS and I now facing a rather different future to what I had imagined/believed
:(

salt1 · 11/03/2014 22:02

oh fourlegs I am so sorry to hear this, what an utter c**t. is it definitely over? look after yourself xxxxxx

JuniperTisane · 11/03/2014 22:22

Sad fourlegs. At least you know where you stand now. What an arse not to be honest in the first place. You and your lovely boy deserve better.

glorious · 12/03/2014 06:11

Oh fourlegs I'm so sorry. Am I right in thinking he left for a while when you were first pregnant? So he came back but he's now told you his heart wasn't in it? What an idiot.

Do you have friends/family around to look after you a bit at the moment?

fourlegstwolegs · 12/03/2014 09:16

Glorious correct. He says he felt morally obliged blah blah blah. I'm gutted. Now after two years, I finally DO know where I stand. And its not very nice to say the least...

lollipoppi · 12/03/2014 09:32

Hi all lost you there for a while!

Fourlegs I'm so sorry Hmm hope your getting lots of support from your friends and family Thanks

Glorious, yay on your job that's fantastic news

Cupcakes hope you managed to get today off work and get some rest and Grin on your DH sending DS to nursery in pajamas

Salt hope you feel better for your rest yesterday

We've been making the most of all this lovely weather, we've been out all day every day, however it's not stopped them both waking up at 5.30am Confused
What's the betting that tomorrow when DS is due at nursery he won't get up?

AppleCrumples · 12/03/2014 09:48

oh fourlegs I'm so sorry, what an arse. As others have said at least you know where you stand but still not good :( I hope you have plenty of real life suport through this

angie and juniper such lovely pics. Babies are indeed growing up :)

Polyethyl · 12/03/2014 11:56

This morning I delivered my DD to her childminder. The other mindee a 3 yo girl ran to my DD and tickled her under the chin, making my DD burst into giggles, the two of them then started dancing around the hall together, whilst I folded up pram and put away coat etc.

Just as I was ready to ask for a goodbye cuddle the childminders cat jumped off the sofa and joined in the fun the littleones were having, romping about together, in fits of laughter. So I crept away, uncuddled, and am now seated at my desk, in the office, moving files from here to there and longing to be with them, playing and enjoying themselves.

Only another 30 years of office life before I can retire.

AppleCrumples · 12/03/2014 17:46

Have just found acred non blanching rash on Ivy foot! After a moment of panic i realised Ivy had waljed over dd1 drawing of red spots...panic over as i washed them off Grin

JuniperTisane · 12/03/2014 18:11
Gin

I've just realised Daniel hasn't ever been called for a 1yr check. He's 14 months old now and hasn't been seen by anyone since 12 weeks old. Not that I care all that much, there's patently nothing wrong with my little monster but I am wondering if we've dropped off the radar or something?

Hope you're getting cuddles now Poly

Polyethyl · 12/03/2014 18:30

Apple that must have been a moment of alarm and despondency! Glad you know what signs and symptoms to look out for - a friend of mine has had meningitis twice. TWICE! He answers to the name "Lucky".

meringue33 · 12/03/2014 19:42

Oh Octane what a shit thing to happen. So Angry on your behalf. Plenty of support here on the Relationships boards :(

Loving all the pics. Haven't had much time to update really it has been v hectic with work.

Hugs to you too Poly. I have been thinking a lot about retirement too, funny isn't it! It's a long time away though!

mrsbug · 12/03/2014 19:45

Juniper in our area the one year check isn't standard any more; dd only got one because she was premature. Could it be the same where you are?

I love that you tried to do a gin emoticon, we need one on this thread.

Apple that sounds scary.

Dd is more cheerful today; her tongue has healed as surprisingly quickly.

LetThereBeCupcakes · 12/03/2014 20:10

So sorry fourlegs - hope you have some RL support.

Apple I would have had a fit! Glad the rash came off.

I had a sudden thought today - DS' apparently inexplicable nappy rash / loose poos / worsening sleep has all come in in the last 3 weeks - since we started giving him cows milk to drink. Wondering if we're looking at a dairy intolerance. Would explain the ongoing reflux. Been checking back through his nursery day report sheets and his really bad nights do seem to correlate with days that are dairy heavy, so we're cutting right back for a bit to see what happens. Dr on Monday so will be interesting to be able to tell him if it's helped.

Had a great conversation with DH at dinner time. He walked in from work as I was serving up - I put his plate in front of him and he tucked in. About half way through the meal:
DH - this is really nice. The chicken is so tender!
Me - It's not chicken, it's fish.
DH - Oh. I don't like fish.
Me - Hmm

Today is DDog1's 5th Birthday I made him a cake and made DH sing happy birthday.

AppleCrumples · 12/03/2014 20:53

Tbh i nearly had a heart attack when i saw it, did feel a bit of a numpty when it became clear it was pen...

juniper no 1 year check here although she had a 9 month one.

cupcakes Shock why not just carry on eating since he clearly liked it? men eh! Hope all goes well at dr but it sounds like you're onto something, poor DS.

Tugstonia · 12/03/2014 21:01

fourlegs so sorry to hear that, what a shit :( Have you talked about the future in terms of his involvement with DS? Sending you lots of hugs Wine Cake and Flowers

Cupcakes My dd has been doing loose poos, nappy rash and horrendous sleep for the past couple of weeks as well, also mega tantrums at bed time. She's been having cow's milk for a few weeks now and I wondered about an intolerance. Is there a test do you know? Also, wtf with your DH and the fish?! How old is he? Hmph. Happy birthday to your dog :)

Lol Apple!

Juniper we had a check at 10 months. Good idea on the gin emoticon.

JuniperTisane · 12/03/2014 21:10

No 9 month one either. Guess they have phased it out. I'm a little sad really as I like seeing his red book fill up. Boxes ticked, that sort of thing.

DS1's excema is exacerbated by dairy. He can cope with a small to medium amount - cheese toppings, spread, the odd chocolate milkshake, but we use alternatives if we can because his skin is just atrocious if he's had loads. He also suffers runny poo if he has too much at once.

Daniel seems fine but I've noticed his skin is very dry tho not actually broken out so I have put him on Alpro soya 1+ for a bit instead of milk to see if it makes a difference with him.

Happy birthday CupcakeDog!
