Hello ladies, can you believe we will be entering into a 6th year of this thread this year?

sounds perfect to me too!! if it's child free I can always put a few people up!

steak tube is repulsive. bad as beef curtains. hurl.

Indith · 17/02/2014 20:44

You lot are foul Grin

beans37 · 17/02/2014 20:49

Poor DH first day back in the office and will not be home til gone midnight. yaaaawn!

Indith · 17/02/2014 21:00

Sad for you and him beans.

Honsandrevels · 17/02/2014 21:20

Oh you lot! Pork sword had me howling. I've not heard that since school.

lady Nice to see you back. Thanks for the black eye sympathy. It actually looks even worse today. The bruise has spread down to the top of my cheek/edge of eye socket. Lovely.

What you said about your dd1 rang a bell with me re my dd1. I see traits in her which made me sad as a child, although I'm a very jolly adult, I was very anxious and found friendships hard at school and stuff. It is hard to think she might struggle with the same issues. Dd2 is an entirely different kettle of fish, brimming with confidence.

PD Really glad to hear ds's tics and things have disappeared. It must be such a relief he is so much happier.

Mckayz · 18/02/2014 08:16

Vag, that sounds brilliant.

Vagolajahooli · 18/02/2014 12:24

The next few months are a bit busy but I could maybe do something early june?

Vagolajahooli · 19/02/2014 09:46

Did I break the thread?

OP posts:
Indith · 19/02/2014 11:30

I think it is called half term vag.

I've escaped to uni library, to many children in my house!

my very nearly 2 year old seems to think he is a newborn.

Must study. Must bloody well study. wedding this weekend. When dropping big children off with mil going to go Hey pretty bra in lovely independent shop near her which also just happens by some amazing stroke of luck to be near am award winning bakery which makes amazing cakes. Happy days. Wish it was the weekend after the exam though and not the weekend before!

ShadyLadyT · 19/02/2014 13:17

Sorry Vag, June sounds great. I would be deffo up for that. Distinct lack of takers for Fri 28 Feb in London, sob!

Hope you have a lovely time at the wedding, Indith. Sans all les enfants?

Great to see you PD, was really jazzed to hear your DS is much happier. Excellent news. I too feel like I have slipped on the exercise front. About to sign up for a 20 mile charity walk in May. Will do a bit of training for it over next couple of months. May as well do exercise I actually like!

Oh, if anyone's looking for a really cheap hol I do recommend lowcostholidays.com They are genuinely cheap.

Am at Mum's. Relaxing, but hardly had any sleep last night as DD1 has a virus. Feel like I'm sleepwalking. And that's from only one night!

Vagolajahooli · 19/02/2014 13:35

I am listening to a pre recorded lectures for one of the teaching subjects. It is very interesting but I am havinga pavlovian response from lectures way back. Feeling very sleepy and want a Mars bar.

OP posts:
beans37 · 19/02/2014 18:09

you should always have a mars bar when the urge comes Vag. dire consequences if not.

so DD3 is sitting up. how strange. not for long, but it is unaided and for about 10-15 seconds at a time. this baby's growing up fast!!!

loving half term so far, despite enormous headache. too much caffeine I think.

beans37 · 19/02/2014 18:35

think I need a glass of white wine to combat headache.

Indith · 19/02/2014 18:44

sadly not LadyT. MIL is having the bigger ones but we are taking the small one with us.

Vag I spent all day in the library today. Hot choc, teacake, library cafe brownie.

I need gin.

Indith · 19/02/2014 20:44

The baby crashed out on me and has been put to bed. He may not stay there long but I am taking advantage. folk awards on tv, chocolate and biscuit tin. Happy days.

Indith · 20/02/2014 11:16

My turn to break it.

Have just consumed 2 buns and a small chocolate bar. Does this mean I know the stuff in the file in front of me?

beans37 · 20/02/2014 12:32

Sorry Indith, only if it was a large chocolate bar. How disappointing. If you eat another small one, it is possible you'll know the contents of your file.

Mckayz · 20/02/2014 19:32

DD is in bed, asleep. I'm on the sofa watching tv. Grin I had to lie with her but she was asleep with 10 minutes.

I probably should be tidying up or something but I am going to do some cross stitch and relax.

Indith · 20/02/2014 20:04

Sounds good kayz!

ds2 still impossible to get to sleep unless he hasn't napped in which case he feeds to sleep. He is starting to eventuate snuggle up and fall asleep though Hmm . so he is still on the sofa with me, getting tired and complaining about our choice of tv. Not enough octonauts I don't think.

Mckayz · 21/02/2014 07:48

DD was sick twice in the night and once this morning. She's fine in herself but must have a tummy bug. I don't feel well either.

The boys are meant to be going to my mums for a sleepover and the cinema tomorrow. I think I will have to cancel in case they get it.

Plus my mums dog is quite ill. He's been having fits and the vet thinks it's his age and he's coming to the end of his days. Sad

Indith · 21/02/2014 16:17

How is dd kayz? Hope the rest of you are ok.

Big dcs at cinema with in laws watching lego movie. dh, ds2 and I have eaten amazing cake from fabulous bakery and I've spent way too much on bras from amazing independent place. makes me very sad that there is nowhere to compare to it at home. I go to bravissimo at home which is decent but even so I've been fitted differently again. Am very poor. bras were £75 each Shock .

But so worth it.

Mckayz · 21/02/2014 16:21

She's been fine all day. The boys are both fine so they're off for their sleepover tomorrow night providing they stay ok.

Vagolajahooli · 21/02/2014 19:53

We are just about to dock in Harwich. Gosh what a trip. So much has happened since we left home. We lost our prepaid train tickets (apparently can get more when we dock) discovered DS2's passport expired earlier this month! (Several phone calls & emails between the two port immigration has ascertained that we can enter the UK) & worst of all. DH got a phone call in the taxi to the port in NL from his brother letting him know his father has passed away. Crikey it feels like we left home years ago with all that has happened. DH is undestandably upset is deciding what to do, go home or not. I'm not sure if you remember but his relationship with his father was difficult.

OP posts:
beans37 · 21/02/2014 20:17

Wow Vag, that's a hell of a journey. How is DH feeling. must be a confusing time for him. I can't remember the details of their relationship, I'm afraid. but tough. thinking of you all x

Indith · 22/02/2014 06:36

goodness vag. thinking of you.
