Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Barbeasty · 05/02/2014 20:57

A just smiles or laughs when he's told no.

ddas · 05/02/2014 23:10

Today it's def chickenpox! One very unhappy ds. Dd happier but only because her eardrum perforated today letting all the junk that's been building up behind out. Explains why she was unconsolable last night- all that pressure must have been really painful. Had to go to work today whilst dh stayed home but luckily got carers leave for tomorrow. Just wanted to be home today looking after my own children rather than in hospital looking after other people- bit ironic.

2blessed · 06/02/2014 04:02

ddas hope the dcs feel better soon.

spotty how are you doing?

R laughs when told no, or cries depending on how serious we are.

He has been sleeping since before 9.... sssshhhh!

SpottyTeacakes · 06/02/2014 06:27

I'm not too bad thanks. Ds decided to wake up at 4:30 Sad

Ds also either cries or ignores me when I say no Grin

WLmum · 06/02/2014 19:57

Feeling very bored and hemmed in. Argh!

Barbeasty · 06/02/2014 20:39

Hope you're ok WLmum

Can I just say how impressed I am with my phone's predictive text. After typing WLmum I got a choice of usernames from this thread to use as my next word!

I hope A's teeth come through soon, and that it is teeth. He's definitely not himself at the moment.

And I think I'm destined to never get beyond week 5 of couch to 5k. First time a chest infection stopped me, this time my treadmill has broken and trips all our electrics if I switch it on.

MrsNutella · 06/02/2014 22:02

beasty I did the C25K and really enjoyed it! Sticking longer at a week isn't a bad thing. I can't remember what week it was (did it almost three years ago... Gave up running when pregnant with DS, everything hurt!) but i was really sick of the music when I did eventually get passed it. I ran a 5k in errr I think it was just under 40 mins... And then got pregnant... Seems like a long time ago now!

wl hope you're ok!

We got the little house we wanted! Yay! I don't know why there was so much mucking about with letting us have the place, I think the owner wanted to meet us before renting it to us. Anyway, it's ours. We move at the end of march. I am so excited. There are probably over 100 things that bug me about this flat which I won't miss!

YIPPPPEEEEE! Smile

WLmum · 06/02/2014 22:51

Hooray nutella! Super exciting.
Thanks ladies, I'm fine really, just not managing to get much done at the mo due to time and money, and my job is driving me demented. I'm planning a bit of an escape in sept when dd2 starts school - going to resign from my job and probably have to work f/t. I'm actually quite looking forward to a change and hopefully more fulfilling job but finding it hard to grit my teeth til sept. Also dm is giving me a bit of a hard time about it (thinks I should sacrifice everything to be at home as much as possible).
Sorry for the rant! I'm on a fast day so no wine!
beasty I really want to start running again - had just made a start when I found I was pg with buba T. Might go first thing sat!

SpottyTeacakes · 07/02/2014 06:15

Excellent news Nutella!

We had no power from 4:30-6:00. It woke us all up when it went off though Hmm

WL sometimes I think just having a plan can make you feel so much better about things.

My throat is still really sore it's been nearly a week, I've only even had a sore throat for a couple of days before. Also I think I night have conjunctivitis in one eye Hmm

WLmum · 07/02/2014 07:38

spotty I really sympathise. When I was pg I had an awful throat for 2 weeks. Google says that's ok, but I was so fed up. Poor you.
It does help to have a plan, I know sept is a long way off but realistically I can't do anything before then with dd1&2 at different schools and summer holidays coming up, but as I know dm doesn't approve I'm trying to give her time to get used to it. I should've just kept my mouth shut!

WLmum · 07/02/2014 13:21

DH is running round with dds this aft so I've got about 3 hours to myself to tidy and clean - how sad that I'm super happy about it!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 07/02/2014 14:29

I'm really sorry to hear about your sister's partner Stacks, life's shit sometimes.

Hope you feel better soon Spotty

Put the music on really loud and dance around like a knob while you clean WL, makes the jobs go so much quicker.

J's had his first haircut. I have taken I photo that I'll Facebook. It looks okay on there but in real life it looks dreadful, really uneven. I shall not be going back to that hairdresser!

I've been reading but J was still being sick up until Wednesday and had now got a terrible cough so we're averaging 3-4 wake ups a night Confused. He's also wanting a stupid amount of milk in the night again, which I'll have to sort but as he was sick on and off for a full week I thought it probably best to give it him. His tummy is rumbling at night so I presume he needs it.

This is me right now Smile

WillYouDoTheFandango · 07/02/2014 14:30

And well done Nutella, not long to wait now then.

What's wrong with the couch anyway Beasty? Wink

SpottyTeacakes · 07/02/2014 14:32

WL it's not ages away it'll come quick Smile

That's annoying WillYou I think ds' hair cut was done really well, although my friend didn't want to take too much off as she likes it Grin

WLmum · 07/02/2014 19:53

willyoy I did just that and I bloody loved it! My kitchen is super clean! Just as well as we are out all day tom and then have very clean and tidy (and lovely) friends coming on Sunday.
Sorry about the vomits and nights. You must be shattered. T coughed on a crisp today and vomed all over my hand and arm! She then wouldn't eat any tea so may well be a hungry bunny in the wee hours - guess we won't be cracking the 5.30 starts tomorrow then.
Regardless of the haircut, that's a cute pic. Super cheeky smile!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 07/02/2014 22:40

He was laughing at the flash on my phone. I love him sooo much!

J has eaten everything that wasn't nailed down today. It has been ridiculous. He has eaten porridge, grapes, apple, satsuma, banana, a full hot cross bun, a 1 slice beef sandwich, a Hipp risotto meal, piece of bread with cheese spread and 3 rice cakes. Then 14 oz of milk. He will be the size of a house.

SpottyTeacakes · 08/02/2014 05:57

Mine love those hipp meals WillYou Blush dd tells people her favourite food is, among other things, a microwave meal BlushBlush

WLmum · 08/02/2014 07:13

Morning spotty nice to see I'm not the only one with a pre 6 start to the weekend!
As predicted Ts little belly was rumbling at 3am but she did go straight back down after a feed. Dd2s 'clock' is broken so she can't see when she's allowed to get up so she called out at 5, then T was up at 6. Roll on the teenage years!
I'm going to attempt a little jog around the block this morning when DH gets up - haha, hope no-one sees me!

SpottyTeacakes · 08/02/2014 07:20

Ds woke at 5:15 Sad having fun jogging Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 08/02/2014 10:06

I put ds back to bed at 7:30 and he's still asleep! Envy

Barbeasty · 08/02/2014 10:10

The only problem with the couch is the 3 and a bit stone I need to shift!

DD appeared at our door at 5.15am, and climbed into bed. Not so bad until she started singing at 6. Then she went to put her slippers on, before going downstairs for breakfast. For some reason this involved waking A up. Grrr!

Then she managed to sneak out to her ballet lesson wearing tights instead of leggings. I'd asked DH if she'd changed, and because he'd told her to put leggings on he assumed she had. I got a phone call just after they left to say she was wearing tights. Double grrr!

And swimming is cancelled tomorrow, so now we need to find something to do in what is predicted to be awful weather!

Spotty hope you keep your electricity today!

halestone · 08/02/2014 11:39

Nutella yay to the new home.

Sorry for everyones early starts. Me and DP are just waking up after a baby free night.

Willyou I think J looks lovely on the picture. H is nowhere near needing a haircut yet.

WLmum · 08/02/2014 20:07

Oh dear beasty. It's so hard to find things to do in this crappy weather isn't it. I really wanted to get out on our bikes tom but song think it will be fair to have T upfront in the cold wind and rain! If it's not pouring we will have a morning walk in the woods and try to fly a kite in the fieldy bit before our friends come.
Nice hales! It's my turn for a bit of a lay in tom but in reality that means having T in with me from 5.30/6 ish for as long as I can keep her quiet them DH will take them down til about 8. I might jog again! I think a bit more exercise will help me to deal with the frustration I feel at the moment.
T learnt to say 'cat' (sort of) today after terrorising Dbs poor moggy.

SpottyTeacakes · 08/02/2014 20:27

Dd's brought a Scottish book back from nursery and dp thought me trying to read it was hilarious Blush Hales I expect you'd have found it funny too!

That's so sweet WL ds doesn't talk yet at all.

I've had an awful day with the dc driving me mad Sad

WLmum · 08/02/2014 21:30

spotty something in the water perhaps, the big 2 have been rather trying. Dd1 has been a total whingebag - told her at bedtime if there's a repeat performance tomorrow there'll be no treats and an early bedtime.
