Spotty i probably would of i love it when people do accents, especially if they do it badly haha.

I agree with WL there must be something in the air. We got H back at Dinner and she has been a nightmare a huge nightmare as has my niece.

Hello all. Just posting to say - it's either in the water or the air!
DS went off to bed ok but woke about 8:40. He has had calpol, more milk, run around the flat pointing waving and shouting at everything and anything. He had a dose of ibuprofen as well and after much eye rubbing and two nappy changes he is finally asleep again.
(Very well done DH you wonderful lovely man you).
So it's bedtime. Keeping everything crossed for decent nights for all and perhaps a little bit of a lie in tomorrow..., night night!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 08/02/2014 22:45

Hello all!

DS has been a dustbin baby again today. I can't believe how much he packed away.

Day 1 of cc (take 2) went amazingly well (touch wood). It took 20 mins to get him down and he's now been asleep for 3 hours Shock

WillYouDoTheFandango · 09/02/2014 02:01

Spoke too soon! Two enormous 1am poos and now I'm having to cuddle to sleep as he's super upset as his bum is raw. Oh well, tomorrow's another day.

SpottyTeacakes · 09/02/2014 06:37

Another bad night here. Dd in our bed by nine (we were watching House Smile), ds awake at 11 took ages to settle, dd coughing loads in the night then wanting to get up from 5:20. Ds woke at 5:40. I remember seeing 2:30 and 4:15 as well. Not sure why dp's the one who's still in bed Hmm

WLmum · 09/02/2014 08:46

Oh no spotty that's no good.
willyou - poor little bum.
We had a pretty good night - T woke at 5.15 but settled quickly after a feed and didn't get up til 7. Dd2 asked if it was morning at 6.15 so I said no and got another half hour.
My turn for a lay in so not up til 8.30.
Hopefully it will stay dry this morning so we can go kite flying.

FriendofDorothy · 09/02/2014 12:31

We have had bad bedtimes too. Usually he goes down easily but he has been taking an hour. My husband is a legend tho.

The Little Mister seems to be nearing the end if chicken pox now. He is crusting over nicely!

halestone · 09/02/2014 12:55

Aww FoD blees him hows he been?

I'll also join in the bad night club. H went down at 8:15 whilst i was in work woke up at 10:30 and refused to go back to sleep till 1:30. Then woke at 3:30 5:30 and i sent DP downstairs when she woke up for the day.

I have just had an argument with a very rude man in Asda car park. I went to park my car and he drove across 3 empty spaces so i couldn't park. When i shook my head he wound down his window and started screaming at me. So i wound down my window and told him not to be so rude i was only trying to park my car. So another woman starts screaming he's trying to restart my battery. Anyway i parked my car and i was raging so i went back and told him that he had no right to shout at me in a car park no matter what and even if he was trying to help someone else i had a right to shake my head if he cut me up. He was screaming at me as i walked away but stopped when i turned around and said pardon! I was shaking with rage

Good for you hales. Did you have H with you? I would have cried after with the adrenaline and all. People do behave appallingly in car parks. A man once nipped in a space I was clearly waiting for so I got out and asked him to move. He did!

SpottyTeacakes · 09/02/2014 13:04

Well done hales! I'm a bit of a road rager Blush I can't stand rude drivers, you wouldn't run and push in front of someone in a queue at the shop so why do it in a car park?!

halestone · 09/02/2014 15:18

No H stayed at home with my sister, i am a road rager as well Spotty, thats why one of my preset radio stations is Smooth FM it always has the ability to calm me down. WL i'm surprised i never cried i usually do haha.

Poor ds has a fever poor us another night of no sleep

FriendofDorothy · 09/02/2014 18:10

He's had horrific chicken pox - all over his face and even his balls and willy. Poor little thing.

A week on and I think he is crusting over nicely!

MrsNutella · 09/02/2014 19:08

fod poor little man! I hope the crusts aren't too itchy.

hales well done you! People do such crazy things in cars.
Hope h sleeps better for you tonight.

spotty have you dosed him up with calpol etc? Fx the night isn't too bad.

I keep calling DS the baby when he really isn't anymore Shock he is a toddler! He is such a cutey, and I love letting him have a naked run around after bath time. Naked running little people are definitely the cutest Smile

We had some friends over to finally celebrate DH & DS's birthdays. It was lovely to see our close friends (sadly no other children yet). I made a carrot cake (DH's birthday cake of choice) and some cookies. Why does time seem to fly by so fast when you have a wee one? They are like black holes, I don't know where the weeks go!

Now, do I have more more cookies and cake for dinner or something "real"? Smile

WillYouDoTheFandango · 09/02/2014 19:43

Poor little DS FoD, glad he's in the mend.

Eat something proper then cake Nutella, I always feel dreadful if I just eat rubbish.

I tend to road rage too Hales. Can't help myself Blush

Went to DP's Nan's today. She was trying to give DS cake and a fruit shoot but we declined. She gave DN two huge butterfly cakes, a fruit shoot, a mini roll, a big pack of white aldi buttons and a tube if chewit's. Hes 3, BiL and SiL just sat there and let him eat them all. Then they wonder why he's ridiculously hyper Hmm

SpottyTeacakes · 09/02/2014 19:50

Bloody hell WillYou I'm not sure even I could eat that much! Dd has had six chocolate buttons and a biscuit today. If it was up to me she wouldn't have had the biscuit but dp was pigging them in front of her Grin

MrsNutella · 09/02/2014 19:53

willyou it was tempting but I wanted something savoury Grin I made a pizza roll (bread, tomato paste and cheese bunged in the microwave... It was yummy but I think I need more)

That sounds like an awful lot of crap food to cram into one child.
DS doesn't get much junk unless he shares a biscuit or something I'm eating but it was funny watching him stealing bites of cake from people this afternoon.
He has these little fruit bars that I think have a bit of sugar in but they're only tiny.
Other than that his biggest treat is fruit pouches. He will bring me one he has found in his cupboard and pester me until I open it. Then he will proudly walk around sucking out every last drop.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 09/02/2014 20:05

I don't mind the odd treat here and there (couple of buttons, small biscuit) but I find that family are determined to fill DS full of crap. That's an extreme example but. DP had an argument with MiL about her trying to give DS Fox's chocolate biscuits at bedtime. He just doesn't need them.

SpottyTeacakes · 09/02/2014 20:06

Hmm ds has more treats than dd ever did at his age but it's harder to keep it away when dd has something. We try to buy 'toddler' biscuits though and no added sugar yoghurts. Also I love 80% dark chocolate, unfortunately so does ds Hmm I thought he would hate it!
My aunt bought him some white chocolate buttons but I will eat those Grin

WillYouDoTheFandango · 09/02/2014 20:11

Cc has been abandoned for the second night running due to poo stopping play again! He did two during it last night and two this evening. Could he be straining it out with the crying?

Barbeasty · 09/02/2014 20:22

WillYou that's more than DD gets from MIL (who regularly gives her several cakes or biscuits etc) or her "naughty uncle" when he tries to make her hyper!

Although we got the DC dinner in the pub today, but remembered to take a sippy cup of water for A. His face and desperate reaching for DD's fruit shoot. ...

Talking about my 3 stone I need to shift, despite doing 2 levels of the shred today, when we took the DC to a soft play this afternoon, a child came up to me, poked my tummy and said "what's in there?" .

Twice.

I want my treadmill fixed!!!!

WLmum · 09/02/2014 20:49

T gets more treats than the other 2 got at her age but she wants what her sisters have all the time, for example a biscuit after school. Luckily they don't have loads of treats from us (pil however...) but she won't touch baby biscuits etc anymore.
Our friends left later than expected (largely due to my serving dinner later than expected) so I'm just feeding T now. Will be too late for my usual Sunday evening swim. Boo. A glass of wine instead then - shame!

Poor baby fod, and spotty

WLmum · 09/02/2014 21:53

T has been super cute today finding pictures of cats and trying to say cat after learning it yesterday.

halestone · 09/02/2014 22:51

Aww FoD that sounds horrible, i hope he gets over them quickly.

Beasty, maybe the child was psychic? I honestly believe some children are.

Willyou i think thats alot as well, H pinches anything my niece drops but luckily only has a couple of mouthfuls and discards it. She does try and pinch fruitshoots though. However i have now learnt to just empty it and fill it with her herbal tea and shes still happy. I think its the bottle that grabs her attention more than anything.

Spotty i hope DS is ok and that you manage to get a good sleep.

It took over 2 hours to get H to sleep tonight, i hope thats not a sign of things to come. I am really struggling with her at the moment shes just so aggressive, she is constantly biting/pinching/slapping/punching me and its really getting me down i have tried everything to stop her and its just not working. I am covered in bruises and scratches she isn't like this with anyone else and i am starting to believe she hates me.

SpottyTeacakes · 10/02/2014 03:45

Aww she doesn't hate you hales! Try posting in behaviour and development.

Dd woke half an hour ago. He's boiling so has had medicine and a drink and I've just put him back down. If had already taken me ages to get to sleep as I couldn't stop bloody coughing!
