Ddas, don't feel awful in the long run you did it to benefit her, so your being the best mum possible.

Temp's down not sure how long for. Doctor checked him out and couldn't find anything wrong. He's being a PITA. Won't sleep or eat, just keeps wailing as he's tired. Just got to keep calpoling him.

Has h started responding to the abs?

My house is a shit tip. The surveyor is coming in 2hours - there's a sink full of dishes, J's dinner is thrown all over the room, every surface has ~1cm of dust on it and the bathroom's disgusting, apart from the bottom of the bath which was bleached last night after J did 3 poos in it.

Oh dear willyou although two things which might cheer you up about the state of the house:1- the surveyor has probably seen worse
2 if the surveyor is a man then he won't notice anyway. I'm convinced men don't see mess and dirt in the same way as women.
Secret no.3 I think with kids and a job you're absolutely entitled to have a messy house.

hales how is H today? Hope she seems to be on the mend.

DS has a horrible cough. He coughed all night long. He probably woke me hourly. Then at about 5 am he coughed a lot so I gave him some cough medicine but then I couldn't get back to sleep at all.

Still took him to the CM, so that I can have a lie down!

What cough medicine Nutella? We can't get anything in this country for under six anymore, I think we can get tickly cough but that's it.

WillYou poor j and poor you. Do the dishes so the sink is sparkling. Wipe away the spilt food and clean the loo. Don't worry about anything else!

Well he had to deal with a messy house as he turned up an hour and a half early. The toilet is always sparkling and I'd got as far as dusting downstairs! I actually had the duster and polish in hand when I answered the door.

Poor DS Nutella hope you get some sleep tonight.

ddas you're right about breaking the cycle. Hopefully dd will catch on quickly.
spotty I don't know how its possible for her to be constipated as she's still feeding from me a fair bit. Sometimes it can be hard to get her to drink much water during the day and I think a couple of hectic days last week when I was working and DH had them and he probably didn't push the water. She only just seems back to normal.

I went out with a couple of mates last night and had rather too much wine. Had to go to work with a cold and a hangover. Thankfully T didn't wake last night til 5 - just as well as I totally forgot about the wine in my milk. There must have still been some in there but hopefully not too much.

I was supposed to be fasting today but no way with a hangover so it's pizza for tea, outnumbered and bed. Will go for a jog tomorrow.

Ds drinks loads if I give him dd's straw cup, maybe t would like one of her big sisters' cups?!

Ds has been pretty grumpy today he's had two more teeth break through (that's 8 now, only two at the bottom though!).

Yeah she does love the bigs cups! When I'm around she normally has a couple of different ones on the go but I think DH just didn't really think about it.
She has turned into such a screamer - the instant she can't do something she looks at me and screeches. I really hope its short lived and stops as her speech develops.

Hope all poorly little people are on the mend soon.

DS1 is on half term this week so I've booked the week off too. Today we dropped N off at nursery so I could take him for a 'big boys' day out. He decided he wanted to go to the science museum again (which by random coincidence was in Corrie tonight) so we got the train into Manchester. Something that would have been a complete mission with both DC and a buggy was so straightforward with one child on foot. We had a lovely time and it really brought home to me how grown up DS1 is now.

N's talking also seems to be coming on
I'm still not convinced other people would fully understand him but we now have 'this' (v clear and uses as both a question and a command depending on tone) 'head','cup', 'night night' as well as the muma/dada we've had for a while. He was also getting me to continually repeat butter and cheese in his farm picture book so think he has DH's taste!

ddas is there some kind of baby code? T was up from 3-5 last night despite having had a feed. Just would not go back to sleep. Thank god DH is off this week so let me stay in bed til 8.30.
ispy I felt like that when I took just dd1 swimming last weekend - complete contrast to taking all 3 of them!

H seems much better today, she was really crabby yesterday and there was much snot. Also she kept putting her ear flat against my arm and when i looked something was weeping out of her ear. it seems to have stopped today so i think that's why shes better. I haven't given her Calpol or Nurofen today as i don't feel like shes in pain shes still on her antibiotics though.

I can't imagine having more than one i find H hard work so trying to divide my attention between 2 or 3 seems impossible. I think those of you with more than 1 must be brilliant mums.

That's good news Hales, it's horrid when they're really poorly.

Sorry about the shit night WL, DP ended up getting up with J at 5am as he just would not go back to sleep. He'll probably sleep all day at nursery.

He's much better today thank you. His temp is normal but he's still very pale. He now has teeth 9 &10 poking through so they're not helping. Sleep training starts tonight, he's forgotten how to sleep. He does a maximum of 45 minutes at a time. We're all exhausted.

hales having 3 is pretty full on but there are times when they entertain each other so leave me free for a few minutes. Pfb is all consuming but they and you learn to make room for new additions.

Ds is obsessed with this one book. We can read other books to him at night but if we don't read this one as well there's an almighty tantrum!

I made risotto for tea, knew they wouldn't be thrilled but worth a shot - rice, they like, cheese, they like, spinach, they like. Mixed together is apparently a sign the I don't love them! Dd2 asked why I'd made it, I was explaining that DH really likes it and when we make nice food for people it's a way of showing we love them. To which her obvious reply was well you don't love us then!

Oh no WL! Both dc love risotto, I've started doing an oven baked one (BBC good food) which is much less stressful when you've got a small child hanging off your leg

Is there a way to do risotto in a slow cooker?

Yes I haven't tried it though

I realised we were only a few messages off running out, so I've taken the liberty of stating the next thread.

WLmum both DC will refuse things I know they eat elsewhere if I cook it. DD insists she doesn't like curry with rice. 3 portions eaten at nursery yesterday!

But dinner success with A earlier. Add ketchup, will eat. Or at least sick off the ketchup and accidentally ingest food on the side!
