Wow those are huge feet Utopian! J's are a 4F and they look huge.

SpottyTeacakes · 26/01/2014 13:14

Ds is 3.5 (got him measured with dd Wink) and dd is 7.5 in one and 8 in the other! Those are some big feet utopian!

Barbeasty · 26/01/2014 13:21

Snap spotty DS is 3.5 and DD measured 7.5 but is wearing size 8 boots and size 9 slippers so the slippers last a while

The good thing about shoes is that it's temporarily slowed A down!!

SpottyTeacakes · 26/01/2014 14:44

Ds has a temp of39.5 he's so unhappy Sad

halestone · 26/01/2014 17:04

H is a 5G at the moment. Also it seems that this week all her 12-18 month clothes have gone abit tight so will need to replace everything. Luckily we've got some clothes to be getting on with.

I tried to ask my mum why H stunk of cigarettes yesterday, and she said she couldn't have because mum hadn't been around smoke. So i'm upset that shes lying to meHmm

Spotty, i hope DS's temp comes down soon and that he's okThanks

Aw hope he's feeling better soon Spotty.

I'd be livid Hales, both at the smoking in the first place and then at the lying about it.

N is now in size 4.5 shoes. They seem dinky compared to DS1's 10.5s. At the rate he's going, it won't be long until he has bigger feet than me.

Am super excited -we are getting a cleaner. She came round this afternoon and didn't recoil in horror at the task ahead. She starts on Wednesday.

SpottyTeacakes · 26/01/2014 17:53

Envy At the cleaner.

Hales I would be really annoyed and Sad about the lying.

Ds cried non stop for an hour eaelier. He's just gone to bed with a maraca but isn't settling. I have to work tomorrow but I don't really want to leave him especially as my step mum doesn't seem to understand the need to strip off feverish children and gave him coco pops for breakfast the other day Hmm

Barbeasty · 26/01/2014 18:05

Also jealous about the cleaner. At the start of my maternity leave DH said he'd pay for one, but I didn't manage to get the house tidy enough to get anyone around and the money seems to have disappeared now.

We've just driven up the hill to our village, back from soft play etc, and the cars have snow on them!

Stacks · 26/01/2014 18:12

I thought T had tiddly feet at just 3.5, but he seems about normal really. He's still quite short though, but so cute! I just love watching him run around these days, I think because he just looks like a tiny man now, rather than a baby :)

I'd be super annoyed about the smoking, and really sad at the lying. I'm lucky, my mil is really overly respectful of any wishes I might have. She looked a bit worried the other day owning up that she'd given DS an organic fruit pouch as a treat.

T isn't very happy this evening, I think it's just him being tired after swimming and missing a nap. His head feels really hot to the touch though, but with cold hands and feet... I'm wondering teeth, as he's got a red bum for no reason too.

MrsNutella · 26/01/2014 18:55

evening ladies.

Hales sorry about the smoke and the lying I'd be really annoyed and upset. The house viewing was ok but wasn't "it" and the estate agent was ridiculously pushy and talked and talked and talked so we were really put off, sadly.

spotty poor DS, sorry if I missed it, what do you think is causing the temp or is it and out of nowhere one?

We have loads of snow here. At least 10cm. Which is fairly normal for here. But the temperatures have plummeted to -10 yesterday and around -7 today I think yesterday the warmest it got was -8 Shock and there is a really Baltic wind to add to the face biting cold.... Hmm Come on spring!!

Well, today we were at the PIL. I wasn't dreading it too much because we had the cushion of 5 other relatives also being there. They gave DS and DH some presents - for the birthdays missed at the start of january. They had ordered lunch from the local restaurant - red cabbage, potato dumpling type things, duck halves and lashings of gravy. It was all very nice - DH may have eaten too much Grin.
Straight after lunch DH and a couple of the relatives took DS for a walk. His afternoon naps have been such a fight recently that we wanted to get him to sleep as early as possible!

PIL bought DS a walker for Christmas. Which DS proceeded to crash into everything - he is very pleased with it. DH and I are pleased if he is very tired after playing with it!

And DH announced the pregnancy while I was playing on the floor in the corner. Which was well timed because it meant I wasn't suddenly crushed by everyone or cried on by mil. I sort of hid in the corner instead and kept myself busy chasing DS. Phew it's done!

Hope you all had lovely Sundays!!

SpottyTeacakes · 26/01/2014 18:59

Not sure Nutella. He has runny nose and managed to sick up a load of sputum or snot earlier on. His temp is only reducing to 38 with medicine. Brrrrr that sounds chilly!

MrsNutella · 26/01/2014 19:08

spotty It was bloomin freezing but with the right amount of jacket, scarf, hat, gloves, socks more socks and decent boots it is bearable. I just wish I had ski trousers!
Poor little guy, could it be teeth? I hope he settles for you.

SpottyTeacakes · 26/01/2014 19:21

Think the temp is way too high for teeth tbh. Probably a virus Hmm last time he was like this he had am ear infection

WillYouDoTheFandango · 26/01/2014 19:52

Hope you don't have too bad a night Spotty.

Glad the announcement went well Nutella, now you can shout it from the rooftops.

What a silly lie to tell Hales, it's like when teenagers come home stinking of fags and pretend they haven't been smoking Confused

It's bloody cold here because of the wind and it's actually 4deg, -10 does not sound pleasant.

Work have announced that I have a lot trips to go on over the next couple of months. I'll be doing Basel, Vienna, Munich, Jena and Brussels in feb/march and maybe Thailand or Singapore in May. It'll be exciting but I'm already worrying about childcare/missing poor J.

DP and I have decided to have a secret wedding (I'm banned from telling anyone but am sure mn doesn't count). We're going to go on a cruise of Italy, Croatia and Greece in September and get married at sea Smile I'm going to ring and get exact prices on Tuesday (when I work from home so noone earwigging) as you can't book online for a baby. I'm so excited I could wee and I'll have to keep it a secret IRL for 8 months!

SpottyTeacakes · 26/01/2014 19:55

Wow WillYou that'll be amazing! What do you do for work?

WillYouDoTheFandango · 26/01/2014 20:01

I write up clinical trials and create medical training tools for pharmaceutical companies. The 5 European trips are to film doctors giving slide presentations to be shown at a training workshop, the Asian trip is to go over and take the minutes of the training session. It'll be mad busy and utterly exhausting but fun Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 26/01/2014 20:04

That sounds really interesting! Can you pull some strings and get me on a 'diabetes cure trial'?! Wink

WillYouDoTheFandango · 26/01/2014 20:08

Ha I'm oncology and infections I'm afraid!

Diabetes is quite boring, no massive breakthroughs and I've only really worked on the the testing kits but on the plus side no heartbreaking disasters either. The oncology stuff can be very upsetting especially when you're a hormonal pregnant lady.

MrsNutella · 26/01/2014 20:14

Willyou do you need an interpreter for Munich?????! Wink My prices would be negotiable. Especially as I might struggle with medical jargon Hmm aaaand I'm not an official translator....
But your job sounds fascinating!

MrsNutella · 26/01/2014 20:15

Spotty damn and blast viruses! Since Christmas DS has been doing well - except for the vomiting bug he had on holiday, which he caught from me and passed to DH.

WLmum · 26/01/2014 20:22

Poor ds spotty. Hope it's not another ear infection, I can't imagine how awful that must be for babies.
nutella sounds like a result from pil. Sorry the hours wasn't the one - I always wonder what the agent is trying to hide if they're pushy.
willyou how lovely! That sounds fantastic.
hales how sad and annoying and unacceptable that she's lying to you. Sorry to hear that.

I was totally annoyed with DH this evening - he was bathing T and I could hear her getting hysterical - instead of following my advice for tear free hair washing he was doing all the things she hates. Another job that's easier to do myself.
In a tiny rain free window I took dd1&2 to the skate park on their scooters, we just got back to the car as it started to rain again and then there was the most immense hail.

T is being a bit of a pickle with food - just not really eating much and wanting boob all (I mean all) the time. It's been going on a while and I've been waiting to see if its teeth or being under the weather but I think it's probably just comfort and habit - any time she's the tiniest bit agitated she's pulling at my top, also when she's tired, waking up, hungry, bored etc etc!! From tomorrow I think in going to try to out a stop to daytime boob.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 26/01/2014 20:24

It's good for geeky nosey people like me! It's a bit of a ballache a lot if the time though as we are essentially a customer service industry and the people we work for as some of the busiest and most stressed people in the world! You would not believe the hours they work and the amount of travel expected of them and we're at the bottom of the pecking order.

Barbeasty · 26/01/2014 20:37

Spotty hope DS sleeps well and is a bit better tomorrow.

I did hear on the radio the other day that they are planning to start clinical trials on something that goes in your abdomen and automatically administers the precise insulin dose you need, so no injections.

WillYou that sounds really interesting.

ISpyPlumPie · 27/01/2014 00:19

Wow Willyou - sounds so exciting, both the wedding and the work travel. The only 'trips' I get to go to are Walton or Styal to see the odd guest of Her Majesty - tis all glamour at our place, I tell you Grin

Glad things are a bit better on the PIL front Nutella. Bet you're relieved about the pg announcement too.

You have my sympathy WL. I appear to have a but of a boob addict too. Really thought he wasn't going to be as bad as his big brother, and he wasn't at first, but it's getting silly now. Think it's more frustrating in a way as he's fine wuthout me so I know he doesn't need it as such.

SpottyTeacakes · 27/01/2014 06:17

12, 3 and 6. Zzzzzzz
