Passmethecrisps · 21/12/2013 09:38

Morning! Got a text this morning from hairdressers reminding me I have an appointment - too late to cancel so parents will need to entertain themselves for a while.

Anxiety and depression are very different. I scored zero on depression but "highest normal" on anxiety. One point higher and doc would have been considering treatment. More recently he just told me to "chill out" so he can 'to be that worried.

Lots of bad nights by the sounds of it. Hope Santa brings a big sack of sleepy dust and bug killer

ChasingDaisy · 21/12/2013 12:32

Excellent pass! Tell the hairdresser to take their time and you enjoy the rest and pampering!

Passmethecrisps · 21/12/2013 13:39

Almost missed it though as I misread the text. Got a call saying I was too late! Then they called back and said they could squish me in. So here I am. All squished in.

ValiumQueen · 21/12/2013 16:16

Poor Pass x Pics on FB please Smile

Off to brave Tesco with boy child.

Man child could move to Australia today and I would not be upset. At least I am not likely to strangle him if he is there.

This morning I was upstairs with the girls sorting out the clothes, tidying bedrooms etc, and FH was downstairs with J. J was whinging and FH was watching football. After a while he shouted upstairs if anyone else wanted to take a shift with a whinging baby. I said I did. Every. Fucking. Night! (The girls were having a disco) I was livid. Still am. Then a parcel arrived. Something we had agreed we would not buy (school photos, £36 quid, and awful. Sorry DD1 but they are)

ValiumQueen · 21/12/2013 16:18

I will send you a message via FB later Pidge x

ChasingDaisy · 21/12/2013 17:33

VQ I would also be interested in sleeping bags Smile

ChasingDaisy · 21/12/2013 17:44

Loving all the haircut pics on FB. I really need to get O's done. Think I will take him after Christmas.

Wibble.

Passmethecrisps · 21/12/2013 17:52

No pic sadly. It's not the best cut I have ever had! And I have a big spot. Imagine me with a child's hair cut. Nailed it.

Currently sitting watch p have her tea while she bops to the radio.

TheDetective · 21/12/2013 17:53

I had the strangest battle of wills with O today Confused. I'm not sure if I did the right thing!

We had lunch in a cafe as we were out and about. O refused to let me even put the spoon of food near his mouth - refused to do it himself, just refused and screamed. It isn't a food he has had before - but it was just a pouch of shepherds pie. I offered him the pouch to suck, still screaming. Waitress tried distracting him, DS tried distracting him... nothing worked at all, he just point blank refused.

I didn't want to give up though, because we were very busy, wouldn't have time to stop again (waited 20 mins for a table as it was). And he was clearly hungry, as he had been showing signs, hence why we went to the cafe.

After about 15 minutes, I managed to get a tiny bit in his mouth. Then he wanted it all of a sudden and was making his more more more noises! Confused. He ate the lot, wanted more, and was quite happy.

It was really odd. The other people in the cafe were laughing at him because they had been witness to the bloody tantrums from him in the first place, and me trying to get him to eat.

If it had been any other day, I'd have left it. But I couldn't have done today. He still would have been hungry. And the screaming would have continued around the rest of the places we had to get to.

What would you have done?! He's not at all fussy with food, and neither does he point blank refuse food like that.

It was just weird how it was all no no no, then suddenly he wants it Confused.

TheDetective · 21/12/2013 17:57

I managed to get my fringe trimmed today. That is all I have time for.

I don't have time to have it done properly :(

Also, I have conceded the fact I am inbetween sizes. Most of the clothes I bought are going back. Keeping 2 of the dresses, one of them I'm not so keen on, but it fits and is practical again ffs. The other one I've dressed up a bit and will wear it for Christmas. Before I put my uniform on Hmm.

I tried a onsie on today. Gotta be a first time for everything, right? First and last. That is all I am saying. Got a lovely pair of M&S pj's instead. Good old M&S. Never fail on the expensive PJ front!

Passmethecrisps · 21/12/2013 18:00

det sounds like the kind if thing p used to do all the time. I now fling stuff on the tray and get on with eating our own stuff. This usually kicks her into action. There can be lots of reasons for them not wanting to eat - sore mouth, teeth, sore throat, feeling bloated, don't fancy what you have given and so on. After many months of that I am much more relaxed but many cheque ladies have witnessed me being anything but while p refuses to eat anything. I sympathise as it is horrid.

Passmethecrisps · 21/12/2013 18:02

I don't get onesies. What do you do when you need a wee? Can't beat a good pair of jammies

Passmethecrisps · 21/12/2013 18:03

Quiche ladies. Not cheque ladies!

YellowWellies · 21/12/2013 18:34

I don't get onesies either. I can look like a sack of tatties at the best of times without going out of my way to dress in one.

Whoot DH home in t minus 17 hours. Thank fuck! Is it awfully bad etiquette to hand him the baby and run to the pub? Grin

ValiumQueen · 21/12/2013 18:35

Pass you have always looked just perfect feeding P when I have been there x you may have felt it inwardly but it didn't show x I remember being impressed by the smorgasbord on her tray Smile

ValiumQueen · 21/12/2013 18:38

If I had a onesie I would be at risk of being harpooned. And I would want to pee all the time. And having a shag would be out of the question. Perhaps they gave their uses then Wink

Chasing I will message you too on FB. Likely after Christmas though.

YellowWellies · 21/12/2013 18:40

"Hello darling. Jonas Daddy's home!"

ChasingDaisy · 21/12/2013 18:40

I want a onesie BlushGrin

ValiumQueen · 21/12/2013 18:44

Chasing you could carry off a onesie. An advantage of being slender.

YW let him take his coat and shoes off first.

PetiteRaleuse · 21/12/2013 18:47

Arse and bugger. LO has been throwing up again. And DD1 has a temp of 39 and obviously isn't herself. Can Christmas be ruined two yeears in a row by illness? Place your fucking bets.
