Frus - will you be looking for anything specific? What age you going for? I was thinking to go for 12-18 months.

What time are you aiming to get there? I was thinking sleepsuits, vests, long sleeve tops, hoodies and t-shirts. May stay away from trousers as baby pear is really tall so probably better to buy trousers at the time he needs it and I don't know whether Next is a good fit for him. Gap seems to fit him well because they're wide and made for chunky monkey thighs Smile

peardrop2 · 24/12/2013 21:02

I've brought a 1.0 tog sleeping bag for the summer in the sale today from white company. Not sure if that was a crazy purchase but thought it was worth the risk.

Good question. I haven't known one since before babies arrived 5 years ago.

My family are annoying and weird too. My parents were absolutely-under-no-certain-terms against Christmas, presents, dinner together, anything having to do with the holidays when I was little (We were JW's when I was a wee one) and now they are the ones who buy the most gifts and plan a giant family Christmas together every year. It feels really weird giving my dad a present! We already had the phone call across the pond where my MIL insisted that the phone get passed around to every single person in that room 12 people

peardrop2 · 25/12/2013 19:42

Merry Christmas :-) What's with the non sleeping babies this week?! Urgh!! I have to make myself go to Next tomorrow. I can do it. It's just another 4:30am wake up. No biggie Shock

Belated happy Christmas! I've had a manic time! Got back from the PILs at 2pm yesterday & DH put washes on while I frantically worked on Runt's rug. I had a complete meltdown at about 9pm until 1am & mostly just sat on the sofa sobbing that Christmas was going to be awful & lots of terrible things were going to happen & people 'D'Dad were going to be mean to me & the DC would be hyper... DH calmed me down eventually & we finally got to bed at 3.30am. Runt woke at 4 & 7 for feeds. Up at 7.30, dressed, packed car, church at 10.30, drove an hour to get here, manic present-giving time, lunch, washing up, fell asleep on the sofa for nearly 2 hours, tea, Dr Who & peering at presents & now bedtime! I'm exhausted but it was actually a really nice day! Only a couple of Hmm comments from my Dad but none aimed at me so I coped. DH has promised we can come straight home if he upsets me. Not sure I believe him though! He's too polite to just walk out!

peardrop2 · 26/12/2013 05:14

Here I am. Standing outside Next at 5:10am Shock I'm 10th in line! Mostly men. And smokers Urgh Hmm

peardrop2 · 26/12/2013 05:21
