Yay for Next clothes!

I have purchased a screwdriver and clothes. I am now in Waterstones Costa. My two favourite places combined. I am then going to lose myself in the childrens book section. Heaven.

MissMummy1 · 05/10/2013 12:15

Wow apple !! How do you feel about it? Have you told DP?!

Not jealous, not jealous, not jealous . I am jealous Envy Envy Envy

Brockle · 05/10/2013 12:26

Brockle · 05/10/2013 12:27

sorry chasing not chading Smile

TheDetective · 05/10/2013 12:28

O is pulling off a 3 hour nap. Well, it's longer than 3 hours now.

We are supposed to be going swimming Confused.

ChasingDaisy · 05/10/2013 12:29

Det I am forever waking O from naps if we have plans. Mean mummy.

YellowWellies · 05/10/2013 12:29

MM get your job and relationship situations sorted first IMHO your Mum would be gutted you're following in her footsteps otherwise - she always says she wishes she'd left your Dad when it was just you and her.

Babies are gorgeous but imagine you and DP with two sleep dodgers and one income and him still having an odd relationship with honesty / money / work ethic / paying his way. Another baby won't fix things. He'd instead be expecting your Mum to look after two of his babies whenever he gets 'a migraine' on the days you work wants to go out and play and shirk his responsibilities. She's not well enough. I know you know all this and I yet again sound like a mean bitch but please adding more and more onto your plate when you've so much to handle already won't make him man up / stop him being a con man. You'll stay together out of love and because you both put the effort in in the long run not because of shared responsibilities and cute critturs. You're amazing and lovely and wonderful just as you are Smile .

TheDetective · 05/10/2013 12:32

I only wake him up if I absolutely have to Grin.

We will just have to push things back a bit!

Ah well!

applepieinthesky · 05/10/2013 12:33

I don't know how I feel Confused DP is here and I've said nothing to him yet.

PetiteRaleuse · 05/10/2013 12:33

chasing am very very Envy of access to Waterstones. I love Amazon but miss proper bookshops with books in English in them. My local newsagent (7km away) has the top ten Britsh fiction bestsellers in stock but they are 13€+ a book. Besides, I never read books anymore so have too many stocked up on my kindle. If I stopped MNing it would help.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 05/10/2013 12:34

Wow apple was it on purpose?

Sounds fab chasing what are your plans for today?

We are car washing Confused

Sophiathesnowfairy · 05/10/2013 12:39

I too am Envy of your proximity to wAterstones my nearest is 40 mins and I rarely get time to browse anymore anyway

PetiteRaleuse · 05/10/2013 12:43

My nearest is 5 hours drive plus a eurotunnel ticket away. I win the pity contest. Four hours away is a whsmith in Paris. It's not like the whs in the uk, it is very much focussed on books. When I used to live in Paris I would while away many a lonely Sunday afternoon there. The books are shockingly expensive though. Almost double rrp. I nearly applied to work there but my stupid twat of an ex stopped me.

PetiteRaleuse · 05/10/2013 12:47

In fact, ironically, one of the things I miss about Paris are the English bookshops. There are some brilliant ones, or were. The other thing is walking through Paris at dawn after a night out in summer, Paris is so beautiful first light. And the free concerts. And the Christmas displays in the department stores. I wouldn't want to live there with children though. Maybe when the dog has passed on and they are a bit older and would handle the public transport ok.

Wow, this is the first time since I left that I have felt homesick for Paris.

ChasingDaisy · 05/10/2013 12:53

CMK Waterstones also has a Paperchase. I could quite happily live in there. But am on my home now to catch up on telly, read magazines and not move from the sofa all day. Then I plan to sleep for 12 hours. I shall also be browsing for men online. Hot guys were out in force today. Some of them without girlfriends attached to their arm. I want a boyfriend. Blah.

ChasingDaisy · 05/10/2013 12:58

I am keeping my eye open for vacancies there. My dream is to work in a bookshop.

TheDetective · 05/10/2013 12:58

I think DS1 is pissed with O for sleeping so long. He just woke him up shutting his bedroom door with force. Hmm

Well, 4 hour naps are taking the piss a bit, really?! Confused

TheDetective · 05/10/2013 13:01

Can anyone help me with Chasing's profile btw?! I'm not sure what I should and shouldn't be writing!

Also - have you used your real name? I was going to type it, then wasn't sure?!

ChasingDaisy · 05/10/2013 13:21

4 hours is an amazing nap Shock

And yes, real name Grin

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 05/10/2013 13:28
