5 weeks and counting....am feeling huge, my back and pelvis hurt and I can't breathe through my nose.

Move house a week on Monday, I'm panicking a little bit. Don't finish work until the end of the week after we move and it's so busy with Easter that I'm worried I won't be able to hand over everything properly to my successor. Confused

Sorry for me post am just feeling a but overwhelmed by it all at the moment!

strawberrypenguin · 16/04/2014 16:28

Gosh killa that's a lot to cope with at once. Try not to worry about the work bit too much - it will be fine and you successor will find out anything they need to know from someone else.

Hope the house move goes well. Brew and cake for you

CallingAllEngels · 16/04/2014 17:11

Oh killa sounds very stressful. Try not to worry...they'll cope without you. Once you have a newborn you won't care!

Still 7n 2ww here...so impatient.

KillashandraRee · 16/04/2014 17:52

Thanks strawberry and Engels. The joy of a family business is I'll probably get phone calls mid labour!

Will keep fingers crossed Engels.

CheshireDing · 19/04/2014 06:26

Aww killa where is your baby bump pic on fb ? Hope you can breath today the end is always so difficult when the bump is so big and hard you can't move it out of the way Sad. I don't remember any braxton hicks particularly with M. He is just 4 months now and it seems like forever ago !

Thank you to those who replied re staying nightts away from the tiddlers i feel less pathetic about it now as i thought you had all had weeks holidays here and there child free Grin.

We have made lots of life decisions in the last week or so, includin not moving back to Australia to live and DH putting his request in to use the rest of my ML after the summer, our house is going up for sale next week too. We have viewed a few things but i think we are going to have to compromise a lot ! Really want some chickens in the garden for the children maybe for me too

Any news engels ? Re no2

M is teething, the best i get is 2 hours sleep, the worsf - 90 minutes on Wednesday THE WHOLE NIGHT.

Enjoy the long weekend and hopefully sunshine ladies.

CallingAllEngels · 19/04/2014 06:46

Had a very faint BFP on Thursday night, but AF not due till tomorow so waiting a few days to test again.

DH has only just realised that we could be having a aChristmas baby!

KillashandraRee · 20/04/2014 07:53

Ooh Engels that's exciting!!! This huge bump was a very faint line Grin

PenelopeLane · 20/04/2014 10:28

That's so exciting Engels!!!!! Any darker lines yet? My very faint line is now a bonny looking almost-7 month old who had her first haircut today! (Yes, she's suddenly got a lot of hair. I must post a pic on the FB page).

Killa that sounds hard - hope the blood pressure is OK with all that stress!

Cheshire - you were thinking of moving to Oz?? That would have been an adventure! You must be tired as well, hope M sleeps better tonight!

We love the idea of moving back to the UK for a year, but the logistics of it all seems far too hard to contemplate at present now we have DCs

CallingAllEngels · 20/04/2014 16:46

Took another hpt this morning and line came up quicker and stronger than before. Now will try not to poas for a week, and just keep my fx that this sticks. Going to UK Wednesday have already decided to tell my DM. If it all goes wrong again I will be telling her in any case. We have a sneaking suspicion that my Dsis is pg. Going to spend the day with her and bil on Friday, but she wants us to "pop over" on Thurs as well on our way to or way back from day out shopping. Or it couod just be that she can't wait to see us! We'll see!

strawberrypenguin · 20/04/2014 21:35

Ooh fx for you eng

Hope you've managed to get some sleep chesh

Happy Easter every one Grin hope the bunny bought you lots of chocolate! I did a mini egg hunt around the house with W once he realised what was going on he loved it!

KillashandraRee · 26/04/2014 06:26

Engels how're things have you tested again?

MrsH hope you're feeling ok has the sickness stopped at all?

Cheshire/ Ipswitch how're you getting on with two now?

Well moving day here starts Monday (eek!) and last week of work next week to add to confusion but hopefully once next weeks out of the way I can relax a bit. Was thinking of trying to start potty training with E before baby arrives but think I might be being a bit optimistic on what I can do when off on mat leave Grin

Hope everyone had a lovely Easter and all is well x

MrsHende · 26/04/2014 18:14

Just a very quick wave hello!

Sickness is lessening, thank goodness.

Engels, got everything crossed here for you!

Killa, lots of luck with moving day!

And big waves to everyone!!!

CallingAllEngels · 26/04/2014 18:23

Still pg. 5 weeks now so the next 2 weeks is the tricky bit for my body. Fx.

Over in UK atm, told my family this weekend. Have an early scan in 3 weeks time. Going so s l o w l y!

strawberrypenguin · 28/04/2014 07:23

Good luck for the move today killa

Yay for being less sick mrsH

Fx for you eng

KillashandraRee · 28/04/2014 09:35

Thanks everyone. Have never had packers before and so far have net them showed them round and left them to it! Least stressful move ever so far let's hope it continues Grin

MrsH glad things are getting better it must be tough to cope with the sickness and looking after E.

Engels will keep everything crossed x

CallingAllEngels · 29/04/2014 12:11

Hope moving day went well killa

Sleep advice needed. M is driving us crazy! We spent 4 nights in UK in a hotel room with 2 doubles. M stayed in bed every single night, didn't get up till morning (between 6am and having to wake him at 8am one day to head to my parents).

Back home and he's waking up again! Though have been able to get him resettled...Sunday night at 3am and last night at 11.30pm and 1am (little blighter snuck in at 6am). Anyone else having sleep issues or just us?

Also feeling guilty that we haven't really pushed potty training yet. We offer him the potty regularly, but he doesn't seem that interested. Anyone else still in nappies?

Think I'm panicking a bit more about potty training and sleep now that I'm pg!

strawberrypenguin · 29/04/2014 14:58

Do you think it's the bed eng does he wriggle a lot and end up on the edge? Is that why the double was better? Can't really help with the getting out as W is still in his cotbed! He's not shown any sign of climbing out or being uncomfortable yet so we've left him! He does wake at about 5 and whine but one of us pops in and tells him it's still night and he usually goes back to sleep.

We do similar to you with the potty I think. It's around and us and nursery are trying to encourage him to use it but I haven't done 'proper' training yet I'm saving that for warmer weather. I think by the time we 'train' he should get it quite fast because he does ask for it sometimes and he's always right I think he's just lazy about it when the nappy is easier for him!

CallingAllEngels · 29/04/2014 15:26

Maybe that's it strawb. In the double we put pillows either side as a barrier since the hotel bed was a lot higher than his. Maybe a side guard thing would be a good idea or an airbed at the side f his bed

CallingAllEngels · 29/04/2014 15:37

Now just need to work out what bed guard is in Dutch!

CheshireDing · 01/05/2014 07:51

Hope the move went ok killa have you got lots more space and garden now for summer ? Am so desperate for the children to be running around in sunshine instead of current cloudy sweatyness :(

Am very excited for all these new babies this year will not mention how knackered i am

Picture of L please Pene

P awake, will come back later x

PenelopeLane · 01/05/2014 09:53

I just put up a pic now Cheshire, have been meaning to for ages but never got around to it!

And Cheshire was it you that did BLW last time? I'm thinking of giving it a go if you have any advice? L is much more tactile and do-it-yourself than A was and I think she'll like it

We haven't really started toilet training either, I've given it a go a couple of times, but A has got quite agitated so I've given up. We're off to Samoa in a couple of weeks (yay!!) so will not try anything too big until after then. Although I keep thinking of more and more excuses not to start Grin

How did the move go killa?

KillashandraRee · 01/05/2014 21:19

Move went well thanks I have lots to do but last day at work tomorrow so hopefully will be able to relax and do it slowly.

Garden is level and house is bigger so hopefully will be easier when no 2 comes along Smile

We haven't tackled potty yet either yet, have attempted a couple of times but, like A, E has just got agitated and I haven't had time or inclination to push it. I'm hoping over the summer it will just happen.

CallingAllEngels · 03/05/2014 14:39

Glad the move went well killa

I don't feel quite such a slacker about potty training now. Just that everyone I seem to know has done it by 2 yrs Shock and they're maiing me feel inadequate Blush

M won't keep running away. I just ahd to abandon my shopping at the till and chase him round the supermarket. It was so embarrassing Blush I'm not having a good day but made myself feel a little better by getting a milkshake I n the way home

TallulahPumpkin · 03/05/2014 22:19

Hey everyone. Feel like I've not been on here for ages er, I haven't! I've skimmed through the posts. Congrats to all where due Grin. And even if not Grin.

We had a great time in NZ, although Seb got a bit spoilt and misbehaved a bit. Getting him to sleep was a nightmare; the more tired and excited he got the more he would pinch, bite and scratch - I was covered in bruises and spent a few nights in tears, I'm ashamed to say. Sounds pathetic now. The big shame is that he won't remember it, although he does tell everyone that he's been on holiday and went in a big plane Smile, oh and all the things we didn't get to do/see because we had a 2yo with us, but I won't mention that!

Since then he's gone into a Big Boy Bed, with mixed results, but still in nappies. He's happy to sit on the potty but doesn't do anything, except go 'peepeepeepee'. He usually tells us 'I've done a poo' after 'the event'! but not always. TMI alert - His poos are still sometimes really yucky, which puts me off potty training at the moment. I do wonder if he's allergic to something. I really hope not cheese as I don't think he could live without it! Any others with the same issue?

Engles Seb does that a lot. He ran halfway down a random strangers garden the other day. Not sure if anyone was watching from the house although they perhaps shouldn't have left the gate open.

CallingAllEngels · 05/05/2014 09:24

How was the flight tallulah ?

We felt the same about all the things we couldn't do, so planning a proper return in 10 years when dc can join us on hikes and water activities. M gets the same sometimes when we're away and out of routine.

Sleep has been mixed this week. We've had to put him back at least once a night and he's ended up in with us once or twice. Last night we tried a different tactic than quietly putting him back and soothing him to sleep (after being out of bed once each with him). Put him back more forcefully, told him he was naughty and had to sleep in his own bed. He cried loudly for 10 minutes but didn't try to get out of bed, even though door was open and fell back asleep. No more Nice Mama!

This morning he's refusing to eat anything, even though I want to take him to the playground and told him he can't go if he doesn't eat anything.
