Ha ha ha Annie just seen this Grin we really haven't been very good at keeping up our threads. Nearly five and we still haven't filled this thread. Might need to let it disappear into zombie thread land Wink

MrsH it's hard isn't it? I'm working one day a week through the summer so I can look after the boys but what we're going to do with them that's free I'm not sure as money is TIGHT! Luckily we live five mins from beach and have loads of lovely walks etc but it gets so busy down here with tourists and my dog thinks she owns the beach and therefore all of their picnics....it can be difficult trying to juggle E, J and the dog.

I've got a Pinterest board with lots of summer play ideas so I'm hoping to try some of those out and feel that we are getting some quality time together.

Hope everyone is well x

It's totally crazy!

You're right, time is passing so much more quickly, I imagine it's because we're so much busier.

Anyone got any nice plans for the summer? We break up for the summer holidays on Tuesday. Can't wait to be off work again but not sure how I'm going to entertain the two babies for 6 weeks without breaking the bank?!

MrsH Smile 2 is a bit crazy isn't it?! J just had his first birthday end of last month, I have no idea where the time went!

No Killa, I'm here too!

Just checking in, we've gone very quiet...that will be the effects of so many of us having more than one baby now!

Hope all is well with everyone xx

How is work turning out MrsH and Engels? MrsH the guilt seems to double with two doesn't it?

Pene great to be doing something challenging how are you finding juggling it all? I'm still working p/t mostly from home but its chaotic. I definitely need a more structured approach otherwise I never stop.

Hello Pene and everyone else!

I popped back on to find you all after seeing on FB that Engels is going back to work tomorrow.

I'm going back on Tuesday and dreading it . Fear, dread, guilt...you name it I'm feeling it. I'm easing myself in by spreading my holiday days out to go part time till the summer holidays, then I'll be back to full time when the new school year starts in August.

Are you back full time Engels?

How is everyone else? I hope all is well with all of you and your families.

I found you all again! Yay! Anyone around?

I'm good - went back to work in Feb to a new job which has been a steep learning curve and really intense, but now I finally feel like I am not shuffling around like a zombie all the time. The kids are adorable as well, I just wish I had more time with them.

How are you all?

Hello! Haven't been on MN for ages either.

Congrats again Tallulah - glad scan went well and hope you're feeling a bit better.

M getting a bit more manageable now, though can still be a handful.

S is a dream baby (though not sttn yet but still early days as he's only just 3 months).

I'm going back to work in 3 weeks though! It went so quickly. Still, only 2 and a half months and then I get 6 weeks off for the summer holidays.

It's been so long since I posted I lost the thread.
How is everyone doing? I think we're finally coming out of the endless bugs that plagued the first three months of the year and last 2 of 2014.

Trying J in the same room as E tonight. Hoping it will help E as he seems to have developed a fear of being on his own. Not sure whether one will wake up the other though so keeping fingers crossed we get some good nights.

How is everyone? Enjoying the sunshine?

That's good Tallulah (bean not feeling crap!) hope you start feeling better soon.

W has settled down a lot - far less tantrums and seems more in control of himself. I did finally buy a grow clock yesterday though! As soon as it's been lighter in the mornings he's started waking up stupidly early again so hopefully the clock will help

Hi everyone.

Thanks for the congrats everyone. We had the 12 week scan on Sunday and all is well. One little jumping bean. I still feel like crap though so hard to get too excited.

I'm prob now going to go permanently 4 days a week (which is a bit scary and will impact on my maternity pay) but I do like my Friday's off (as long as Seb is behaving!)

Strawb that's so sad at his sobbing in bed, but what else can you do?

Report
KillashandraRee · 11/03/2015 06:15

Good to hear things are improving strawberry, we are just starting to get tantrums which was a bit of a shock tbh as he's always been so level headed Confused
Work is manic at moment and we're still relentlessly moving from one illness to another with no break (and no sleep!) so I'm permanently exhausted. Roll on the warmer weather to get rid of these bugs!
How is everyone doing? X

How is everyone?

Tantrums have been getting a bit better here he seems to be able to pull himself out of them a bit better and isn't starting them as often either.

W has found a new programme to love too - paw patrol - so now he keeps pretending to be a dog! We've also had the 'can we have a dog?' question! I thought 3 was a little early for that but there you go! (The answer was of course no - we have a cat who's getting on in years and DH and I both work full time)

Hope you're feeling better eng

chesh why would you give up tea you crazy woman! I live on tea Grin

We're still having some major strops here mainly around bed time and toilet. W will be lovely all evening but as soon as he's asked to do his 'bedtime wee' he strops and crus and wails and lashes out. Just had a half hour fight with him where he ended up not sitting on the toilet because it's impossible to make him but he got no bed time story and went to bed sobbing which makes me feel awful. No idea when it's such a fight at the moment with him.

'Tis the season to be snotty, Engels. Hope you're both better and the baby doesn't get it.

We're still in Germany. I sometimes worry that people won't understand their mixed up sentences but Kindergarten tell me that they never use English words, so they seem to only do it at home. Maybe they are just lazy at home and use the first word that pops into their head, no matter what language. And elsewhere they think a bit harder. I dunno.

My eldest (4 and a half) is very worried about people not understanding her. She even refuses to sing Happy Birthday to people because she thinks they won't understand it as it's English. Even though everyone knows and sings that song Smile

ipswitch Sorry to hear that sleep is still a problem. But great to hear that there is some progress, albeit slow.

M is snotty with a nasty cough (which he's given to me!) Sohaving a sofa day. Not veeling quite as energetic as I was last week! Trying to make sure I don't try to organise too much as am shattered after a visit/trip out.

M is funny as well trudy with dutch/english and translating literally sometimes. Are you still overseas or in the UK now? Sorry I can't remember. Germany? My memory is shocking

I drink way too much now coffee ips - especially since I'm bf

Also, due to serious lack of sleep, I now have a major coffee habit cheshire! I had a nasty headache at work the other day and it occurred to me that I hadn't ha my morning coffee yet. Within 15 min of that first mouthful my headache was gone! Well it either that or eating ridiculous amounts of chocolate ...

Congrats again engels (posted on fb too). I spent most days in ml with D out and about so N didn't get too bored and tantrummy. He has the odd one generally when he's had a really awful night, but on the whole we've been lucky so far.

Congrats too to talullah Flowers

The comfort object for N - his Spot the dog toy - is helping a bit. He will now cuddle it at bedtime. His night wakings are still very bad and he's now on melatonin, which so far hasn't improved things. If anything, his nightmares seem more vivid and he can tell us what they're about. I've managed to get him falling asleep for me without hand holding (DH hasn't yet), but nowhere near leaving the room while awake stage. Progress is very slow (and we are extremely tired!)

D is going great guns - almost 14mo and he's all over the place! He's a climber (something N didn't do so much), so we're constantly having to remove him from precarious situations - he has no fear whatsoever, and a very cheeky grin while he's at it! I should be a size zero all the running about I do after him alone Grin

Ohhh, exciting Tallulah

engels Well done on your first day alone! How is it going now?

killa We've had a few sicky days this January, mostly they were a bit under the weather though, nothing too scary. Not like the autumn of misery 2013 when they were both ill for nearly two months. I remember that F went to nursery exactly 1 day of December 2013. The rest of the time he was off sick.

Not long till spring now though, I can feel it Grin

strawberry We seem to have just come out of a long, long, long tantrummy phase. F is so much better now and sometimes you can even, wait for it, reason with him. Yes really.

Mine are 4 and a half and 3 now and I think this has been my favourite age so far. They are so much fun but still tiny and cheeky and say funny things. We laugh so much how they mix and match the two languages. Great fun!

cheshire No sleep is a killer. No advice other than get yourself back on the tea, woman! A cup of tea after a sleepless night is sometimes my only lifeline.

Hope you are all well. Better go!

Fx Tallulah :) 2 are great fun but currently M is sleeping (or not as th case may be) like a pile of turd. 4 hours he was awake the other night midnight-4am then I had to go to work. Currently drinking a lot of Coke (as gave up tea for New Year).
Knackered but they are fabulous Grin

We've had a horrendous 2 week cold with everyone ill. Am now waiting for chicken pox to strike as we've had two of his friends go down with it. The joys of January/ February Confused
