Ill try copy over all the stats again when I'm next on the laptop.

Hope everyone is well :)

A is being really hard at present too, yesterday he ran his bike over the baby's fingers! On purpose! Twice! Shock Nursery helps I think - it seems he gets a bit bored at home although I really do try re an outing a day, lots of activities etc. It's like no matter what I do, he still ends up moaning to watch TV. Yet after a short time in nursery he comes home all sweetness and light again! I was thinking of rolling back his hours (as I am a SAHM of course) but after days like yesterday I don't want to as the poor baby ends up being ignored as well. Whereas today it was just she and I I could take her swimming, read her books, play with her for long periods of time and catch up on mn ...

(can't you tell I am still trying to justify keeping A in nursery 16 hours a week even though I'm at home Grin)

CallingAllEngels · 13/03/2014 06:37

Drum roll please.......M slept the whole night in his own bed! Came in at 6.45. Think that's the first time since November! Finally!

pen don't feel guilty about keeping a in nursery. I will be doing the same, partly because otherwise we'll lose the place, but mostly because I value my sanity!

TwosaCrowd · 13/03/2014 08:42

Had my scan yesterday! 14+1 :)

strawberrypenguin · 13/03/2014 10:33

Yay for sleep eng Smile

Glad the scan went well two

I think they get quite a lot out of the social side of nursery pen so I wouldn't feel guilty about it. I know W picks up so much from the other children there and his friendships are lovely (although I would prefer to have W in 3 not 4 days but needs must)

KillashandraRee · 13/03/2014 20:36

Yay Engels that's great.

Pen I'll be keeping E in nursery one day a week and at various grandparents on two other days. I want to stick to his routine as much as possible and to have time with the new baby.

Twos great news on scan.

Nights are getting lighter everybody soon we'll be sat outside in the summer drinking Wine Grin

PenelopeLane · 13/03/2014 20:39

Yay twos that's exciting!

Thanks strawb and engels re nursery! I don't usually feel too bad, just one of those niggly guilt things.

And yay for M sleeping through! Sadly M must have passed the no sleeping baton to my kids. Baby L was up 5 times last night, she was a great sleeper when younger (waking once or sleeping through) but since about 4 months it's badly regressed and I don't know why. Top up formula has worked a little and tried solids yesterday too so fingers crossed

CallingAllEngels · 14/03/2014 07:26

Well, M crawled in at 1am last night, but I was very perky on Th6rsday after a proper sleep!

Has been beautiful here this week. I've managed to be out of school early everyday to sit in the sun (even managed to read on Tuesday before dh got home!). But it's misty outside atm so will wait and see what we get up to.

CallingAllEngels · 17/03/2014 11:14

M managed 2 more sleeps in his own bed this weekend Grin

Just got back from check up at hospital and lump was definitely nothing to worry about. Tongue healing nicely.

Happy engels today! Heading into town to abuse my credit card!

KillashandraRee · 19/03/2014 07:19

Ah Engels did you buy anything nice? Great news about M's tongue.

I bought E a train table from eBay yesterday, it arrived with about 20 trains and lots and lots of brio track. His face was a picture Grin think I've got to stop looking on eBay for a while we can't fit anything else in the house!

Fingers crossed we may be moving! We're hoping to buy DMIL's house which may mean we move in the next few weeks. Am desperate to move before the baby arrives as we're squished into a little terrace with lots and lots of steps at moment. Hopefully find out this week Grin

CallingAllEngels · 19/03/2014 17:08

Spent a lot on skincare, make up and show polish Confused

However, ordered 2 pairs of shoes and a swing dress online (ssh! Don't tell DH!) And am coveting a gorgeous trench coat and lovely handbag.

It's to distract me from the 2ww!

M has slept in his own bed till 6 five times in the last week! He's finally getting it! Didwake up last night but he stayed in bed and called for me rather than getting up. Now thinking about getting a gro clock so we can push back the wakeup time.

Good luck with possible move killa

PenelopeLane · 19/03/2014 19:36

Engels what's the magic sleeping trick? I need to do something about A's sleeping in our bed ... was thinking about a groclock too, does anyone have one?

CallingAllEngels · 19/03/2014 20:17

I wish there was a magic trick would have tried it 5 months ago though bribery has been working (we told m that if he sleeps in his own bed, he gets a chocolate and he's been parrotting it!).

MrsHende · 20/03/2014 14:05

Hello ladies! Been a bit absent, finding this pregnancy very difficult. Horrendous hyperemisis, even worse than I had with L.

We recently changed L's cot bed into a bed and fortunately been quite lucky so far with her staying in bed...to the extent that she doesn't get out of bed in the morning!! She wakes at the usual 6am and starts her singing and chatting routine until she gets fed up and shouts or cries for us, but doesn't seem to realise that she could get out of bed herself if she wanted to! (I wonder if I should be worried about her intelligence...! Wink)

I feel very sorry for her right now, I'm really struggling and have lots of days where I don't get out of bed, and have only been out of the house to go to hospital or the gp for the past 5 weeks. I've also been admitted to hospital 3 times. Of course, poor wee L doesn't understand. She's not herself at all, quite close to tears a lot of the time, and quite strange with grandparents - I think she's worried they'll take her away ( which they've had to a couple of times so DH could take me to hospital). Fingers crossed it lifts before too long.

CallingAllEngels · 21/03/2014 07:29

Sorry to hear you're ill mrsh Sad

2 shitnights sleep here. I think ds has an ear infection. During the day he's fine but burning up at night.

on 2ww here. Fx for a 2014 baby.

strawberrypenguin · 21/03/2014 09:14

Hope you start to feel better soon mrsH Thanks

Poor M ear infections are horrible hope it clears soon and you go back to getting a good nights sleep eng and fx for your 2ww

DH was blowing his nose this morning and W looked at him before saying 'don't pick your brains out daddy' was so funny and so unexpected!

MummyDuckAndDuckling · 23/03/2014 11:15

Hello all!

Mrsh, Thanks for you!! How far on are you now? Did the sickness ease over time with L? It's something that I would panic with if I was expecting again. I had horrendous hypermesis too. Hoping it passes soon x

All well here. I'm up to working 5 afternoons now so each day is becoming a blur! So glad I have the mornings with S. She now goes to nursery 1 morning a week, partly so I can study and partly as she kept asking!!! Our neighbours kids all go and she was obv hearing them mention and so was asking when it was her turn Grin. She loves it and is waiting by the door at 8am on 'nursery mornings' Smile

Killa, fab about the house!!! I'm also starting to look at moving. Currently in a flat which is a good size with 3 big bedrooms so we have plenty space but schools here aren't the best and would much rather get her into one in the council area that I work in, but to guarantee she gets a place, I really need to move. If it comes to it and I don't move before hand, I can put in a placing request for the area stating my mum would be dropping her and collecting from school (which she would). Going to speak with bank re my mortgage hopefully in the next few weeks. They have said they are happy to lend me more but is obv need to show prof of my earnings etc. exciting but daunting!!

Things with ex dp are going well. Typically seeing him most weekends now and so far so good. I'm just trying to keep my feelings to myself and let S enjoy getting to know him.

Engels, glad op went well and lump was nothing to worry about

Sorry I forgot everyone's news to reply individually

Happy Sunday x

KillashandraRee · 23/03/2014 20:06

Oh MrsH so sorry to hear you're feeling so sick but exciting that you've got a sticky bean in there!

Mummyduck glad things are going well with S dad. I haven't even thought about schools yet it scared the life out of me even thinking about it Blush

Pen/ Cheshire/ ipswitch did you get bad braxton hicks second time around? I seem to be getting really strong painful ones this time and I'm so uncomfortable.

PenelopeLane · 24/03/2014 21:17

Oh no Mrs sounds awful.

Killa I got really strong ones that were more false labour the second time, from about 36 weeks and a couple of incidents in the week before I went into labour that I actually thought labour was starting. How far along are you now?

Duck that's exciting re the house! We are thinking of buying too (have been renting for years - too fussy to buy what we can currently afford so are still saving!) but not sure where, and you're right about schools. Hmmm. Our dilemma is lovely house in a suburb that's not as nice, or average house in great suburb. I honestly can't decide.

engels fingers crossed! Is M ok now as well?

We just got back from a fabulous holiday in a beautiful part of the country at a wedding on a farm - loved it, and feeling the post-holiday low seeping in now. Boo!

MummyDuckAndDuckling · 25/03/2014 09:31

Yes that's my dilemma. I can pick a nice, biggish house in an average area or smaller one in much better area. Had a look last night online and found a few needing a lot of work done and so a good price but it's the amount of money now needed to renovate that would scare me! But I would view it as the house we would be living in for a loooooong time so I'd be in no great rush to do it all at once. I'm sure we could stay with my parents for a bit to save money.
My plan is to use the 2 weeks I'm off over Easter to gut my house and have it valued so I know where I stand.
Exciting but daunting ShockGrin

OP posts:
PenelopeLane · 25/03/2014 21:19

We would be far too useless to renovate, which is why we're waiting as well! Our loose plan is to keep saving and try and buy a house right before A is 5 so he can start at the school local to where we buy (start school at 5 here), although we have an excellent rental so no real incentive to move at present (right opposite a school, supermarkets, pools, shops a 5 min walk away)

strawberrypenguin · 30/03/2014 23:27

Happy Mother's Day everyone - hope you all had a good one Thanks

We've just started with a soft start to potty training, still in nappies but asking if W wants the potty regularly and he's been doing wee's in it Grin he loves emptying the potty into the toilet and saying 'bye bye' to his wee! Hoping we can build on it gently until he properly gets it.

MummyDuckAndDuckling · 01/04/2014 21:42

Hope everyone had a lovely Mother's Day!

Well done W! Sounds promising! Grin Tonight is night 3 of no nsppy for S. She's been waking for past 3 weeks dry so gave it a go. So far so good but I've got spare bed sheets at the ready just incase!

OP posts:
PenelopeLane · 08/04/2014 00:47

I hope mother's day went well! Although it's not here until May I enjoy the idea that I could potentially have it twice Grin

That's so cute, Strawb, saying bye bye to wee. All A says is "lolly now" so I think I need to rethink the bribery! Not that that even works most of the time. We're so busy battling the coming-into-the-bed issue that toilet training is parked for the time being.

My blog is mumsnet's blog of the day Smile ! Am very pleased - it's just my rambling about being a working mother.

PenelopeLane · 08/04/2014 00:48

Oh and am impressed with S not needing a nappy at all at night!

CallingAllEngels · 09/04/2014 21:09

Only just caught up. Awesome news about blog!
We're the same with potty/bed. Occasional blips where he stays in his own bed but usually at 1am I hear the patter of tiny feet.

2ww again here. Fx.
