Have posted on fb so I don't clog up Fred... so am clogging there up instead thank you for the support though, you all made me cry Blush

Good luck izzy :)

Well done mrPidj how fantastic!

Poor dh pr sounds very stressful, I'm sure he knows you're there for him to vent at if he wants though? Sometimes it's all we can do, i find it hard helping dp with work issues, cos of internal politics etc

Bed time here is ..

Tea 4:30
Bath 6
Dressed in his room/story 6:30ish
Bottle 6:45ish
Into growbag and bed at 7

I am no good at sleep training type stuff, I have no real experience with it but I do think a good bed time routine will help :)

Hope you're better soon bplp bless you

Sorry the playgroup wasn't great lily

Sounds really good chasing you are doing SO well! :D

How odd det! Sounds like he's not so fussed with his milk anymore doesn't it. E still has two bottles but has days of refusing solids I think due to teeth. Plus he still likes his milk but if he did what your o did I'd probably get drops and let him lead the way. Hope you find a cm for just in case kinda times.

good luck with house stuff eliza

Oh izzy that sounds tough stuff :( bless you :( I hope j gets the hang of this. Big massive hugs xxxx

Sorry I haven't caught up properly but I missed quite a bit x

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 17/09/2013 21:11

BP that's so cute! S will lean in, open mouthed, if I demand a kiss too!

izzybizzybuzzybees · 17/09/2013 21:15

He's just getting louder and louder and angrier and angrier!Sad

Elizadoesdolittle · 17/09/2013 21:18

Hugs izzy It's very very early days. I know it's shit but please don't cave. As det said you all need this. It will take time but J will get there. Sending strength your way.

TheDetective · 17/09/2013 21:19

He just doesn't understand yet Izzy. He will do. I know how hard it is. I wish I could be there with you.

Is it an option to pay someone to come in and help you do this? I think someone less emotionally involved might help you and support you through it?

izzybizzybuzzybees · 17/09/2013 21:19

He has stopped crying for 3 full minutes. If he cries again after the 15 minutes is up do I leave him a further 15??

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches · 17/09/2013 21:19

OK izzy , give yourselves a break. It' the first night, this is a shock for him. Pick him up, take him out, comfort you both and try again tomorrow or in half an hour.

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches · 17/09/2013 21:21

Cross posts, they^ say don't cave, they'e probably right. I'm a softy. But I stick by this: this is the first night, he won't get it straightaway. It can only get easier.

BigPigLittlePig · 17/09/2013 21:23

Ginger I said the same on fb lol. DH is more of a softie than I am.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 17/09/2013 21:25

He's quiet! Has been since I last posted!!

TheDetective · 17/09/2013 21:28

DP is softer than me Blush. He said he can't leave O to cry. I can do it, if needs must.

However he can apparently leave him to cry hysterically while he is sleeping.... Angry Anyway, sorry, tangent there.

My stomach is showing signs of nervous excitement on Izzys behalf. Fingers tightly crossed.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 17/09/2013 21:31

Still quiet!!

If he wakes soonish, or even not so soonish, what do I do? Do I reset the clock as it were and start again from 3 mins?

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches · 17/09/2013 21:33

Excellent! Can't advise on part two, but look out for hunger signs etc. He won't go from several feeds to none in one night...

izzybizzybuzzybees · 17/09/2013 21:33

And I've forgotten to set the apnea alarm and am now terrified he's stopped breathing but too scared to go in and switch it on in case in wake him!

izzybizzybuzzybees · 17/09/2013 21:34

He's not had a night feed for about a month now ginger so that shouldn't be an issue Smile Smile

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches · 17/09/2013 21:36

He hasn't stopped breathing. You can switch it on when you next go in. If no night feed then I guess you should go in when he next cries and start again from a few minutes if it's in a few hours, not rightaway iyswim.

Sorry, hadn't noticed there were no night feeds. LO has one occasionally still, when she has had a disrupted day. So every day at the moment.

Kyz · 17/09/2013 21:43

Sounds good izzy :) sorry no advice on what to do in the night though. I hope things go well tonight

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 17/09/2013 21:43

izzy fingers crossed for you. You have inspired me to think seriously about trying this with S.

Is everyone else's baby down to as little milk as det's O? S still has 4 x 7oz bottles per day. Shock We have been trying to reduce it for a couple of months, but he really wants it. He eats 4 meals a day (requires tea at 4pm then has a little supper when we eat at 5.30ish) and eats loads, it's very much alongside food, not instead of. HV/nutritionist was v relaxed about it, but it does seem a lot still. His weight gain is steady and following 50th centile.

BigPigLittlePig · 17/09/2013 21:47

Madam F has 3 8oz bottles, and shows no sign of dropping any yet. She, however, has gone from the 9th to the 75th centile Grin - what a piggy! I did wonder about asking the hv about it, but not sure I'll get a useful answer. F goes totally batshit if she doesn;t get her bottle on time Confused

YellowWellies · 17/09/2013 21:49

for Izzy and Pidj Grin

Passmethecrisps · 17/09/2013 21:59

P is offered 2 full 260ml bottles and one 120ml one a day. She drains one full and the 120 but leaves about 90 ml of the morning 260ml. She has toast brekkie, fruit mid morning, lunch, fruit Mia afternoon then tea at 5:30

izzybizzybuzzybees · 17/09/2013 22:06

He's still a fucking sleep!! About 35mins so far!! [grinShock Shock Grin Shock

James is still hit or miss with food. He has breakfast made with 3oz of milk and has the 4oz that's left after it. Then he has a 7oz bottle at 3pm and a 9oz one at 9pm.

When we switched to formula he was on 4 bottles all 6/7oz ones. I've stopped the lunchtimey one easily. I just kind of replaced it with food.

Today he had 6oz at 8am. He didn't get breakfast properly as there was a mix up this morning. He then add a full 130g pouch when we were out for lunch. Had an 8oz bottle at 3ish. Dinner at 6pm which was mince and tatties and a fruit pot for pudding! And then had 8oz bottle at BEDTIME!! YEP BEDTIME!

HE'S STILL SLEEPING,!!!!!!

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches · 17/09/2013 22:10

Time to get the humidifier out. The heating is back on and making someone thirsty...

She has reduced her milk intake massively the last few days. Maybe 10oz a day now. Not sure why, she seems happy enough apart from nursery troubles.

TheDetective · 17/09/2013 22:13

I AM HAVING A MOTHERFUCKING PARTY!!!!

I will be checking the fred all frickin' night. You HAVE to update it. After you have gone the fuck to sleep of course.

Bed. Now! Go!!!

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches · 17/09/2013 22:13

And izzy yay!!!
