Last time she had naughty days it was definatly for attention but she's been getting alot recently wed been baking etc and we were going swimming together when she did it alone as it was her lesson, she did it while I was was out of sight too though so I'm not sure, she just totally humiliated me in a restaurant aswell this lunch, she was the child running screaming and laughing round the place kicking out at me while I tried to hold her where people look with pity and disgust at how bad a mum I must be Hmm she's usually really good at places like that but today on my own I wanted to crawl into my own skin!

Lorelei353 · 25/09/2013 20:40

My sister's in labour! 2-3 cms and just been admitted (private hospital on Dublin). so exciting. She has a 3 1/2 year old girl already and this is s boy.

AND my sil had her dating scan today at thirteen weeks and all is well. She and my brother have been trying for three years and had one mc two years ago.

Babies babies Grin

AGnu · 25/09/2013 20:51

Wow Lor! Your parents are going to have expensive Christmases from now on! Grin How lovely! Flowers

peardrop2 · 25/09/2013 21:13

Did anyone else cross their legs when they read the bit 'my sisters in labour'? :-) Very exciting though! You'll be able to pass on some wise tips Lor Smile

bringonthetrumpets · 25/09/2013 21:35

Lovely news Lor! So many babies being born today. My fellow student midwife friend is at a birth today too. Happy baby thoughts Smile

Oh kitty let'em look and be disgusted. Good thing they never did that when they were children, right? I'd be concerned if you were the one doing it and people were giving you looks, but honestly, she's a little girl. Kids are obnoxious sometimes. Not to discount your feelings about the ordeal, I hate when my parenting is being judged at the worst possible time too. It's like, why don't they give us looks and take notice when our kids are being wonderful?

I stupidly signed up for a barre class at the yoga studio I go to...I can't move walk. It's like ballerina bootcamp. ouch

Lorelei353 · 25/09/2013 22:04

ouch bring . Barre classes are hardcore.

Just realised that if my sister has baby after midnight it'll be two days before my birthday and I had my ds two days after my sister's birthday!

bringonthetrumpets · 25/09/2013 22:14

Om, is anyone else here shedding like a St. Bernard? Hmm No? Just me?

bringonthetrumpets · 25/09/2013 22:15

I do have to say that one funny thing that kept me going during the class today was that we all looked like we were humping the barre at one point with the whole pelvic-tilt bit. juvenile brain Grin

FrussoHathor · 25/09/2013 22:37

bring me too. My hair brush is mental after I've brush my hair. Even worse when I wash it!

OP posts:
AGnu · 26/09/2013 00:18

DH makes me scoop all the hair out of the bath water before I pull the plug. It looks like a rat on the side of the bath! Bye bye luscious locks! Sad

bringonthetrumpets · 26/09/2013 03:36

Ok, well good to know I'm not alone in the hair-losing boat. I read somewhere the best concept ever for beautiful pregnancy hair "it's on loan like you would loan out a library book". I just don't remember it ever being this bad with the other two. Must be having a baby girl thing like nausea and gaining a ton more weight

kittykatsforever · 26/09/2013 06:20

Yes I'm in the shredding boat too, started 2 weeks ago and comes out in what looks like clumps bring, I do remember the same last time so maybe it is girls, my bath looks unbelievable after I've washed my hair Hmm
Thanks for the pep talk, I don't think many people were giving me the look and alot were laughing at her too but it was just my interpretation of it and like you said the fact she's normally so good
On the plus note had a good night sleep in the spare room, ( first time) although dh came to wake me up at 5 as she'd started crying, ur she does, that's kind of the point?! Held her off til just before 6 again without food so hopefully her tummy will be starting to get the message, she's feeding really well in the day again now so that's a good sign

FrussoHathor · 26/09/2013 07:38

Ugh school run and then I am going back to bed when baby frus has his morning nap. Pass the matchsticks in the mean time.

OP posts:
FrussoHathor · 26/09/2013 10:32

Who's got a belly sleeper? Once they can roll they're okay to belly sleep right? I couldn't sleep last night because I was worried.
We don't have a sensor. would be invalid since his cot touchs my bed, so would pick up my movements too
But he'll be okay on his belly right?

He's napping on his belly in his cot now. I need to sleep. But I'm too paranoid.

AGnu · 26/09/2013 10:42

Frus he's fine. Leave him alone. Get some sleep!

peardrop2 · 26/09/2013 12:07

Frus he will be fine. Just make sure the blanket is away and his face is to the side. Baby pear has been a belly sleeper since week 3 and he's fine but I still worry too! Only natural Wink

kittykatsforever · 26/09/2013 12:24

Yes frus the first time is always the worst but as far as I know the concensus is if they can roll let them sleep how they like, we turn the sensor mat off now when I go to bed as she rolls off it all the time, does he seem to prefer it?

FrussoHathor · 26/09/2013 13:07

2hrs45. Which means I must have just had at least 2hrs in one go. Woo
Yes kitty he does seem to like it as he just rolls back if I move him

OP posts:
bringonthetrumpets · 26/09/2013 13:31

M is a belly sleeper too since about 7 weeks (gosh, can't even remember now...). The only reason I felt like it was safe was because she had great head control and could move her head from side to side whilst on her belly. I'm sure baby frus is totally fine since he's already eating solids!

FrussoHathor · 26/09/2013 13:54

I'm thinking if he can roll there he should be okay. I'm just paranoid. Dd2 was a belly sleeper from the start but we had a sensor back then.

Lots of hair falling out here too.

So, I have a beautiful new nephew, born at 12.15 last night. My sister had a great birth. The epidural blocked pain but not contractions so she could push well and he came out after about half an hour of pushing. Small tear along the scar of her previous episiotomy but only small. Yay.

Can I have a totally unreasonable 'me' moment though? For almost four years my niece has been the star of my family show - all attention on her. The next grandchild was my DS and my mum has been over lots, but my dad only saw him for two days after he was born and my brother and sister haven't met him yet. But by the time I get to dublin, my new nephew will be the little new baby in the family. I kind of feel like I didn't get a chance for my DS to be the centre of attention, even for one visit. Kind of makes me sad. I know that's stupid and unreasonable but there it is.

FrussoHathor · 26/09/2013 13:59

Grin baby frus is laughing at baby tv. Some wierd thing with a pink and a blue bear

lore you can totally have an "unreasonable me" moment. And ((hugs))

Lorelei353 · 26/09/2013 15:45

Thanks frus . It feels a bit ridiculous to even be saying it but I can't help feeling like DS will be overshadowed a bit. May not be like that at all when we get there though, seeing as we're rarely in the country.
