Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Last night I went to sort him out in the dark cos he was crying cos he'd flipped round... I didnt realise he was still on his belly till I went to put a dummy in to stop him crying and I was thinking 'wheres his face gone?!' Also trapped his foot in the baby wipe box at 6wks so not accident free over this way

On the door knockers he had his first lesson in how to politely get rid of jehovah witnesses this morning.

lollipoppi · 09/08/2013 16:11

Bunty my DD has reflux and has slept on her tummy since she was about 8 weeks whilst I watched her like a hawk

Were off to Torquay tonight for my cousins wedding, plan is to let them sleep on route which is around 4 hours then peacefully transfer them both from car to hotel beds without waking them Grin like that's going to go to plan !!

Lora1982 · 09/08/2013 16:57

Also I dont know if it'll help with the drinking formula business but ive managed to get him using a straw so you could see how he goes with that

glorious · 09/08/2013 16:58

Thanks everyone, you're making me feel a bit better Smile She's totally fine today. We've been Gromit hunting in Bristol which is a fun way to get her to nap!

Sorry for all the awful nights.

happyhow · 09/08/2013 17:06

I'll buy some straws tomo. Thanks!

Lora1982 · 09/08/2013 18:04

I put some in and held the end a few times then he figured to suck it. Good luck

LetThereBeCupcakes · 09/08/2013 18:22

glorious you must be near me, we aren't far from Bristol.

Slightly better night last night, DS only woke 3 times between 6.30pm and 7am. Feeling rubbish though, seem to have some sort of fluey bug. Honestly, I think I've had more coughs / colds etc since DS was born than I've had in the rest of my life!

glorious · 09/08/2013 19:59

cupcakes I live in London but grew up in Bristol so visiting my family and friends Smile Sorry about the lurgy Brew I'd recommend the Gromits when you're better.

Loveitall · 09/08/2013 21:00

When ds was about 8 weeks I was carrying him in his carseat and tripped up, his seat went flying I went flying, I badly sprained my ankle, he was fine! Felt so so guilty (until the paramedic gave me gas and air! Then I zoned out!) on a side note, a newborn and crutches is quite hard to manage!!! :)

glorious · 09/08/2013 21:49

Oh love poor you, how horrible. The car seat worked then! Newborn and crutches not so much.

Loveitall · 09/08/2013 22:01

Car seat worked a treat :D.

Loveitall · 09/08/2013 22:02

These babies are tough cookies!

Lostbobbles · 09/08/2013 22:42

DD2 had an accident today, pulled herself up using the sofa then fell and somehow managed to flip round and band her head on a toy. Now sporting a lovely bruise on her forehead Hmm but luckily no serious damage done and a few licks of DD1's ice cream soon cheered her up.

Went for a lovely meal with a friend this eve, had both DC's as hubby out but incredibly they were as good as gold Grin

Angie wish Molly well

Happy - random but was speaking to another mum at baby group who happened to mention that she had just changed to formula. She ended up having to go cold turkey in the end and endured a 16hour stand off before her DS gave in.

Lora1982 · 09/08/2013 23:21

Loveit I would have refused to leave the house after that.... or was it planned so you could get more gas and air Grin

We have clapping only took a week of me doing it for him

Sods only just gone sleep though. Off to sunny cleethorpes for the night sunday to listen to mum n dad snoring like cavemen in the caravan.

Meringue33 · 10/08/2013 00:25

Yay well done Dexter :D

Loveitall · 10/08/2013 06:44

Hehe, I refuse to carry the car seat now unless necessary that's for sure lol! Grin

Loveitall · 10/08/2013 06:44

Have a gd night in sunny clergy lora

Loveitall · 10/08/2013 06:45

Obviously that should say cleggy!

salt1 · 10/08/2013 07:22

Shitty Shitty night worse ever wtf . Sleeping in bloody sleeping in bloody swing now. Gonna try a more protein rich tea today x

Angielka · 10/08/2013 08:11

lost Molly has a couple of little scratches where she was sitting yesterday and tried to crawl but landed sprawled on her tummy. DD1's toy train was under her face Hmm

salt we tried a new tactic last night. I waited for her to wake after we went to bed and fed her (1am) then sent DH in to settle her with no milk every time she woke before 4am. I fed her again at 4 and then she slept until 7am. Hoping it improves bit by bit and the feeds gradually cut out. She's got to the point now that it feels like I'm rewarding her for waking by feeding her when it's clear she can't be hungry enough to eat every two hours overnight. She settled really quickly for DH so it made me feel it was clear it was more habit than hunger. Sorry your night was so bad. I feel better this morning and DH seems to have survived too Smile.

LetThereBeCupcakes · 10/08/2013 09:26

angielka how did you convince your DH to do that? I still struggle to get mine even to change a nappy!

Rubbish night here, too. DS woke at 2.30 and refused to go back to sleep until 4...

Lora1982 · 10/08/2013 11:39

Cupcakes if dp is here its his JOB to do nappies and emergency bottle. Else he gets the moody me. Ive given up trying to get him to do night shift.

Lostbobbles · 10/08/2013 15:42

Lora, go Dexter on the clapping, v impressed Grin

I left DH with both DD's this morn, and DD2 rewarded him with the stinkiest poo, even DD1 went out the room. good girl hahaha

Pascha · 10/08/2013 16:46

Clapping! Brilliant! Dan is nowhere near that. His special skill is in eating. Half a mango today at lunch. Faster than I ate the other half Shock

He was singing at 1.10am, then again at 3am Hmm We've had sleeping through cracked for the last week, I can only think its teeth again.

Lora DH is immune to moody me. I think it's because he has 4 sisters. He just ignores me.

Yet another rubbish day. Took DS out for the afternoon in the hope he'd sleep. He screamed all round the garden centre. He dozed off in the car on the way to the supermarket, but as I lifted his car seat out a dog went ballistic at us and DS woke up. He screamed all around the supermarket. He screamed most of the way home, then nodded off when we were only about 3 minutes from the house, so I carried on driving for a bit. Got home and our dogs barked and woke him again. DH started having a go at me so I just got back in the car and drove off. Ended up at my dad's house, but he wasn't home so just sat on the driveway for an hour.

Am hiding upstairs now. Would kill for some sleep.
