Evening all.

Horsey I hope it wasn't too bad back at work, and I hope you got loads of smiles on your return home!

VQ that's ridiculous! It's also the reason I won't be having any more babies for a while, despite dhs pleadings. Would it be cheaper to have a nanny?

Stunt well done on the weight loss, you must be so chuffed.

Chasing I expect to see photos of the completed cross stitch in, ooh, a few days probably, now you have all this spare time on your hands! Grin

Kyz you'll always be kyz to me.

I'm very Envy of the Haggis meets, there's such a big group of you. Lovely as ever to see the photos - hope Izzy is managing ok.

I accidentally had milk, in crisps, at lunchtime. So that's it. End of bf . Will be tucking into some Ben & Jerrys soon om nom nom.

YellowWellies · 30/07/2013 19:51

Chasing that's so lovely to hear. Am really glad that exploring your freedom with your wee sidekick and finding out who you are and what you want from your life is going so well for you. Am v proud of you chick x

horseylady · 30/07/2013 19:54

Mum had Him so he was fine. He starts in child are sept 2nd.

Work ok, am shattered will be very busy. Feel quite sad in that it feels like the last 9 months never really happened?! Work the same. But then that was always going to happen so I wasn't worried at all.

Am quite short tempered tonight though :(

Sophiathesnowfairy · 30/07/2013 19:59

horsey pop your feet it, it is a shock to the system going back to work.

chasing your posts are getting more positive by the day! Grin

stunt hi fivers. Well done. That and the good night sleep must make you feel stacks better about life in general

While the cat is away mummy will have prawn and mango curry. Yummy. (DH doesn't do prawns after a stunt in a prawn factory).

Thanks everyone for holding my hand through the op last week and the ensuing recovery. I am still taking it easy but feel so much better. Thanks < wipes away a what would I do without the quiche tear>

FatimaLovesBread · 30/07/2013 20:01

chasing Your day sounds lovely!
Food wise, we're camping at Whittlebury Park to watch superbikes at Silverstone so we'll be at the track during the day until tea time. We've decided that instead of taking lots of food that will go off in the heat, we'll go to the Tesco for lunch things and then eat out in evenings.
So somewhere we can drive and park at/near. Not too fancy and BIL is a fussy bugger. And that is cheapish. Looked at Xscape as there's a nandos, pizza express etc. and I think a red hot world buffet. We might get a takeaway one night.

I am also jealous of the haggis meet

BigPigLittlePig · 30/07/2013 20:04

Oh.
My.

Icecream I have missed you.

Bryzoan · 30/07/2013 20:04

Aww bp that's hard. Enjoy the ice cream - and well done. End of an era...

Go team o and chasing! I have no doubt you'll continue to do eachother proud.

TicklishMould · 30/07/2013 20:04

Evening all. I won't announce myself, i'm sure i'm obviously me :) I might save my old posts or some of them for memory purposes ask MNHQ to delete my old posts/the relevant ones as I really will be in the shit otherwise!

Fatima I've no idea what i'd pack for camping tbh, but I think what you suggested sounds ok!

pass perspective really does help. Whenever I've had a difficult time settling E or a 'bad' night by our standards coming on here and reading the different things other quiche members are dealing with really puts it into perspective for me. Our bad nights are what other quichsters have to deal with all the time, or our difficult meal times are what others might actually consider a raging success. Context and perspective and knowing other quiche members are worrying about the same things as me or coping through worse helps me manage too. It also makes me feel guilty about moaning or stressing but it mostly holds me together, the quiche is definitely a positive thing!

Aw GT lovely post, and nice to hear from you :) I am waiting for E to clap. He doesn't yet, or even show signs of trying to!

Congrats on the commando crawling/sliding yw!

How was work Horsey? How was E too?

OMG VQ that's alot of money Shock

Well, E did a cool thing today. I had cBeebies on for him for the first time in ages and 3rd & Bird came on and he was flapping and laughing and really excited watching it. He's never done that before, he used to just gorm at the tv whenever it was on, and then stopped bothering with it once he got to about 6 months. Also, he keeps crawling to the dvd player and hitting it. I decided i'd tell him 3 times and after that move him and tell him no. This happened once. After I moved him he went back and I said no, and he looked at me and squealed in delight with the dirtiest cheeky grin. He slowly went to touch it again and JUST before he put a finger on it he turned round with a grin again to see if I was watching him. I said no trying so hard not to laugh at him and he came away from it, result! However, DP nearly died laughing because he couldn't contain himself to be fair I had to try very hard!

Bet lots more has been written since I started this!

TicklishMould · 30/07/2013 20:05

Oh I don't like this. I want to be me again.

TicklishMould · 30/07/2013 20:08

Might've been a biggish post chasing but was a nice positive one for the most part! :) Glad you've had a fab day :)

horsey go and chillax, you deserve it :)

ChasingDaisy · 30/07/2013 20:12

Fatima I reckon Xscape is your best bet then, I think there is a Harvester there too. The Theatre District is opposite and it has a Bella Italia and Red Hot.

Thank you everyone Blush Without you I wouldn't have even left him. Oscar owes a bunch of wonderful wise women more than he will ever know. I'm beginning to see what our life can become and I feel so lucky to have him by my side. He is just the best thing ever and I can't wait to help him grow up

Kirrin · 30/07/2013 20:20

Yay stunt That's fantastic. Well done J. Now keep doing it!!
And congrats on the weight loss too :)

VQ Shock How long before you can send them out to work? And is it worth you gong back?!

Glad work went ok horsey It does feel surprisingly normal to be back doesn't it? Even after months and months. I felt like that and I didn't even go back to the same job!

No news here. All very dull.

ticklish you are very obviously you! Stick with it, you'll soon get used to it says she who has never really name changed

Lily311 · 30/07/2013 20:23

chasing I can see myself in you now. I am so happy to see your post about O, he really is the best thing that happened to you.

O was so giggly today, she is such a joy. She grabs my finger at every opportunity and pulls herself up. Tiring for me.

Assignment submitted, now watching trashy movies.

YellowWellies · 30/07/2013 20:23

Ticklish love the name Smile

Pikz · 30/07/2013 20:28

Much love to everyone and Wine

Holland isn't too bad praying for a later morning than 5.30.

BigPigLittlePig · 30/07/2013 20:30

I think I may have been a little foolish. I may have eaten too much icecream followed by chocolate and now feel a teeny tiny lot bit sick Envy

ChasingDaisy · 30/07/2013 20:31

Lily whenever I am finding things tough I think of you. You genuinely are my inspiration. Can't wait to meet you and O in October

ChasingDaisy · 30/07/2013 20:31

pig I just stuffed my face with sorbet and am contemplating the chocolate biscuits....

TicklishMould · 30/07/2013 20:35

I actually cannot eat anything else bad for me now, I really am fat. I really want to send DH to get me some matchmakers, but I know I shouldn't!

Hope you enjoyed the ice cream bplp

Pikz · 30/07/2013 20:39

Bplp gorge and get it out of your system!

ChasingDaisy · 30/07/2013 20:48

Matchmakers! Nom nom. And more nom. I scoff them non stop at Christmas.

Evilwater · 30/07/2013 20:50

chasing I'm glad you are having a great time.
horsey I'm glad your work was ok. That bill is a bit steep.
stunt congrats on the weight loss. Got any tips?
fatmia I hope the camping goes well.

You all look fab at the meet up.

N has been more like himself and getting into trouble. Even my mum has noticed the difference. I love gavision!
I was slightly embarrassed, as N kept staring at Asian family. Of course he's never seen an Asian family, but why did he keep staring? What am I going to do with when he comes across a person of African descent?

Evil

PetiteRaleuse · 30/07/2013 20:52

I just ate a twix ice cream. Yum.
