Missed your post lazza, yay for littlelazza!

WL, yes to breathable. Sounding like a lot of people wouldn't be bothered though, so may not be a market...

SpottyTeacakes · 23/08/2013 06:16

No wet bed last night but obv going to the doctors still. Both dc up at 5:30 Hmm I've got real coffee though mmmm

Is anyone thinking about 1st birthdays yet? They're too young to care about it, obviously, but it's nice to mark the occasion isn't it? plus more presents Wink

WillYouDoTheFandango · 23/08/2013 06:50

DS slept through! 7:30-6:45! He was still sparked out too but DP's on call and his work phone went off. Waking him. Grr!

SpottyTeacakes · 23/08/2013 06:53

Wow WillYou that's a great sleep!

Barbeasty · 23/08/2013 08:36

I think we've decided to go to an aquarium and then lunch for A's birthday. Grandparents and god parents can come if they like. It's hard to find things that aren't firmly Christmas based in December.

A has a mark under one eye. He was being held at nursery while they wrote up the diaries. He grabbed the pen they were using and drew a firm line down from under one eye. The black ink came off, but there's a clear red mark.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/08/2013 08:45

Poor A! These babies grab things before you know it don't they?!

Ds's birthday is November so not too close to Christmas not sure though...

Equimum · 23/08/2013 09:42

May I rejoin the party please? Have been keeping up but not posting for months Blush.

Beasty we've had a pen incident too.

Spotty I hope your trip to the doctor gives some answers.

Re: birthdays, our NCT group are planning a shared party and so are another group of mums I see regularly. Funnily enough, we were also thinking of doing an aquarium as a family treat!

F will be 8 months at the end of next week and has thoroughly mastered crawling and pulling up, but refuses to clap. He's a smiley chappy but a bit of a thug (I liked Nutella's use of the word hooligan.

Unfortunately, I'm well able to empathise with those of you going through sleep regression. For about a month, F was napping well and only waking 3 times per night (a vast improvement on previously!). Now, he's hardly napping and waking frequently, often for long periods, at night!

Equimum · 23/08/2013 09:43

Oops, sorry for the essay Blush

halestone · 23/08/2013 11:24

Spotty hope the drs appointment goes ok today.

Beasty hope A is ok. H has a habit of grabbing things she shouldn't an hitting herself in her face.

Eqi we are firmly in the grasp of the 8 month sleep regression i thinkHmm

H is currently sat biting a balloon but cries if i try to take it away, this isn't going to end well.Shock

SpottyTeacakes · 23/08/2013 12:18

Thrush apparently poor dd. she was so good for the dr.

Barbeasty · 23/08/2013 13:29

Well DD has always enjoyed drawing on herself, and A likes to hit himself (with fist or object) so I see fun times ahead!

Spotty fx she gets better soon then.

utopian maybe something for breastfeeding mums. A feeding top that just wipes clean when your baby uses you as a tissue or is sick on you or as you start weaning? Save going to work covered in snail trails after the morning feed!

SpottyTeacakes · 23/08/2013 16:32

Dd draws on herself too. 'Im making myself pretty mummy' Hmm

SpottyTeacakes · 23/08/2013 17:47

Ds can open the door of dd's cooker and has has emptied it of all the small things that were hiding in there Hmm

Barbeasty · 23/08/2013 18:26

She got an ink stamp with a magazine today, and stamped ink over her face "putting my make up on".

A keeps crawling along the hearth. It's funny when he rolls off sideways and struggles to roll back on.

Fx for a night as good as last night. Several 3hr stretches. The best night for a long time.

ISpyPlumPie · 23/08/2013 19:02

Yay for crawling Lazza.

Glad you've found out what the problem was Spotty. Hope DD is better soon.

Utopian - I've had an incredibly messy baby this time, however it was worse in the early days and as they grow so quickly at that stage I'm not sure how much more I would pay for clothes that aren't going to last that long anyway. Would second the suggestion of tops for mums though - I've lost count of the number of times I've had to get changed again before leaving the house.

Am having a slight boob issue. N whacked me before and I noticed it felt more tender than usual. It still feels a bit niggly - not too severe, and there are no obvious lumps/hot patches but I've not experienced this in three years of bf. He's feeding from it ok and it doesn't seem engorged. Anyone who has had blocked ducts or other problems does it sound like this?

SpottyTeacakes · 23/08/2013 19:11

ISpy It could well be the start of mastitis so just keep an eye on things. If it was blocked you would feel a lump. There is a lump with mastitis too but when I had it it was so deep I couldn't feel it (which is why it took so long to clear and turned into mastitis).

ISpyPlumPie · 23/08/2013 19:30

Thanks Spotty. Really hope it isn't mastitis - would be typical on a bank holiday weekend, and we are going away next week too. Sounds like a good reason to take it easy this weekend just in case though.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/08/2013 19:35

I think it's something either you're susceptible to or you're not and as you haven't had any problems so far hopefully you will be fine and it's just a bit bruised!

IsThatTrue · 23/08/2013 19:46

Sorry for not keeping up with thread Blush

Yay for crawling lazza

Sorry to hear of dd's thrush spotty I hope she gets better soon.

Well today DH had to work in Hove so I got him to drop me and the dcs in Brighton. We had a lovely day :) found a great park, ate on the pier, the kids went in the sea, we went on the mini London eye, all the dcs were lovely. Then big ones went to their dads for a week at 6 and DS has gone down nicely tonight. compared to the awful evening/night we had last night I'm now sitting with a glass of wine and relaxing. Today has been a great day. :)

SpottyTeacakes · 23/08/2013 19:55

What a lovely day IsThat Smile

lazzaroo · 23/08/2013 20:33

That sounds lovely isthat

We've had nice chilled out day. I have spent most of it chasing after baby lazza as she spots the smallest things she can find and heads off in that direction!

Christening on Sunday so lots of family arriving tomorrow.

spotty hope your DD better quickly.

Haven't given much thought to birthday! Probably do tea & cake at home. With both birthdays & Christmas in Dec it's going to be busy (& expensive!)

WillYouDoTheFandango · 24/08/2013 07:56

Hope the thrush clears up quickly Spotty. Poor DD.

I love the mischievous glint they get in their eye when they spot something in the distance Lazza. It's kind of - right, I'm having that!

Fantastic night for J, not so good for mr and mrs fandango! DS slept through again! DP was on call and got called out at 1:30 and 3:00. I booted him on the spare room after the first one but the damage was done. Thank god DS didn't get up until 7:30.

Off to buy burger buns today as its DP's birthday Tuesday and we're having a BBQ on Sunday. I seriously can't be arsed. BBQs are so much more fun when you don't have to clean up after them

SpottyTeacakes · 24/08/2013 08:01

I was meant to be going to pick up my glasses and to homebase this morning but can't now because some idiot me forgot to order any and now I've run out. Have to wait for the chemist to open and beg! Then I'm going to my best friends whose daughter is dd's best friend Smile

WillYou j sounds like he's really turned a corner!

WL did you see peppa pig is coming to Guildford? Doing a show or something..

WillYouDoTheFandango · 24/08/2013 08:44

Order any what spotty?

Don't jinx me with the sleep! I've knocked the late naps on the head and three of the teeth that were in/out on Monday have now come through. Fingers crossed it stays this way.

SpottyTeacakes · 24/08/2013 08:54

Oops missed out a vital word Wink insulin.

I think they need to do it for five nights before you can relax Grin
