I liked Milly Molly Mandy vq

am v annoyed that I didn't bring more books back this time actually. Next time I go I won't be taking masses of nappies and formula so should be able to fit more in the car.

Passmethecrisps · 26/07/2013 10:08
Grin

I am wandering around my bedroom like a complete brainless idiot while p plays with my bra on the floor.

Hmm. Foot is bruising. Silly twat.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 26/07/2013 10:21

Oh no pass , well fielded though am glad you didn't end up on floor.

vq I am surprised today actually. I feel great in myself but sore, lying in bed, I thought I was milking it so I have just gone to the loo, wiped the sink picked up some towels and come downstairs. It now is very sore inded. I think pjs are my best bet for the day! Grin

ValiumQueen · 26/07/2013 10:24

Sophia paracetamol and ibuprofen regularly to keep on top of the pain. But still rest even if comfy.

Passmethecrisps · 26/07/2013 10:33

Oh I did sophia! I just didn't land head first. I say again, silly twat!

YellowWellies · 26/07/2013 10:46

Pass my auntie did that and broke her shoulder - the fire brigade had to batter the bathroom door down Shock! Right you, and Sophia sofa now! Brew We're off out to enjoy the sunshine

Passmethecrisps · 26/07/2013 10:54

Oh blimey yw! That did cross my mind. The bathroom door was open but I was having visions of a sort of clumsy version of the end of dexter series 4!

Donnadoon · 26/07/2013 11:23

Ooh Milly Molly Mandy
My naughty little sister
Hours of enjoyment I had out of those books

Lily311 · 26/07/2013 11:41

I bought Millie Molly Mandy in charity shop back in December for 10p. I love it!

chasing don't disappear pls.

Pass oh dear

We went to playground and spending the rest of the day at home. 40 degrees is not fun.

TheDetective · 26/07/2013 12:46

VQ I had the exact same thing as I lay there falling asleep last night! I even put my hand on my tummy and had a good prod to check for a fundus!!. It was more than the little pops of wind that feel like tiny little kicks. It felt like a baby rolling from one side to the other!! I am very bunged though, so I think that explains it!

Loving the book talk. I've read many of the books mentioned! DS1 enjoys reading, but not the books I enjoyed :( He does have the full Narnia and Roald Dahl collections though. He's read the first Harry Potter. Trying to encourage him to read the rest!

I have some of the books from when I was little. Like you PR I have a book with my name written in, and aged 3 Grin. But no pc or feminist changes made Wink sadly!

O has a decent collection of books, as it is pretty much the only thing I have from DS1! My mum buys books at birthdays and christmas, so I actually don't have to buy many! I use the library too, and then buy the ones that are loved too much!.

Sophia Get your ass on that couch, and do not move again! . Ex DP used to do things like that with clothes. Or put completely mismatching clothes on. DP seems to have more memory in what goes with what! On Wednesday he dressed O while I was out. I didn't leave anything out, but I had ironed a whole load of clothes and they were hanging up in his wardrobe. When he arrived he was wearing something that I hadn't ironed. So I asked him why (because he had even spent time ironing it before putting it on him!) and he said it was because he couldn't find any matching socks for anything else!!!! Grin

O is currently speeding around the living room, pushing a ball along, and chasing it. It's so cute to watch Grin. I've got one eye on him, and one on here! I love watching him play! Before that he lined up 5 large teddies on his play mat, and took turns to pull the noses on each one?! Confused Weird child!

In the time it took me to type that, he has now gone back to the teddies on the playmat, and has lay himself in between them. He is currently chortling away to himself and snuggling up!

He climbed up the first few stairs this morning. No surprise is it!! Have filmed him doing it while I felt sick to my stomach at the thought of it!.

Decent sleep in the end last night. He didn't self settle when I wanted to go to bed. But a little rocking got him back off. He then slept til 5, fed, and back down miraculously til 6.50, when I got him up, took him downstairs, plonked him on DP (who had gone to sleep on the sofa) and ran back upstairs, and got back in to bed Grin. Bad me Grin.

Lily311 · 26/07/2013 13:04

O has been sleeping for nearly 3 hours. Should I be worried? She never had a 3 hour nap. Should I wake her?

PetiteRaleuse · 26/07/2013 13:11

When I used to pick DD1 up from creche the staff often commented that they could tell who had dressed her that morning :o

Talking of DD1 (who is still driving me mad, but anyway) this morning I heard her applauding herself and shouting 'bravo'. So I went to see what she had done. She had soilled almost a full bottle of Evian on the dining table, soaking books, my handbag and this morning's baguette. But why on earth was she applauding that? Took me a moment while I was silently screaming and swearing (I always count to ten when she does something like that before opening my mouth) to see she was holding a cup full of water. She was so proud that she had managed to pour herself a cup of water for the first time. Bless. I almost didn't mind cleaning up. I did congratulate her on her accomlishment through gritted teeth

She's a tough toddler to manage, aren't they all, but she is so funny and cute with it. Ysterday I put a video on youtube for her of babies laughing and she watched it on a loop for about an hour. Then I put one on of stupid things cats do, another half hour of fun :o

PetiteRaleuse · 26/07/2013 13:18

Ooh coincidentally there is a Malory Towers thread today

Lily311 · 26/07/2013 13:19

Panic over, she is giggling in her cot

ChasingDaisy · 26/07/2013 13:27

I had the fluttery kicks last night too. Very odd! Feels like my insides aren't quite in the right place Hmm

Ouch pass! Ditto Sophia, you sound remarkably upbeat!

Had a good day today. Went to the area I am moving to, to pick up registration forms for the doctor aurgwry and scope out the supermarkets and library etc. Popped into the children's centre and it it so lovely. A 5 min walk from my flat, on the site of an Ofsted Outstanding primary school. Beautiful old village school building. Excellent facilities including a sensory room you can use whenever you want. Met the family support workers too and they are going to offer me plenty of support to help me settle in and make friends.

To top it off, O had a 55 min nap in his cot. A new record!

He also managed to undo the straps in his car seat today Hmm. I am just hoping that I didn't secure them properly otherwise we are screwed.

Oscar's new favourite game is my throwing rolled up socks at him. Must be at his face though otherwise it isn't funny.

ChasingDaisy · 26/07/2013 13:28

Ooh a Mallory Towers thread! Yay, off for a read.

PetiteRaleuse · 26/07/2013 13:33

I've been having fluttery kicks too. Makes me quite nostalgic. Then I look at the pigsty my house is and I quickly get over myself :o

chasing I think I am almost as excited as you are about your upcoming move. It sounds like you're going to a great place for you and O :)

fruitpastilles · 26/07/2013 15:00

That Malloy towers thread has made me want to get my books from the loft and read them again, that would just be sad though wouldn't it?
chasing all sounds very lovely, I really need to start taking S back to our children's centre and to more groups and generally doing more with her. I'd also love to be moving house but we can't afford it just yet.

Grrr dp is off hopefully buying a new car, I told him I would be trying to have a little sleep when S has her afternoon nap at 2 as I hardly slept last night, so from 2 he has phoned and txt me about 5 times, all because he is bored waiting for them to look a our car, so no nap for me. I could have been using this time to tidy up instead of just lying here now!

PetiteRaleuse · 26/07/2013 15:17

I regularly reread Enid Blyton books. It's not sad, just comfy and familiar when I cba to get into anything more challenging. I was signed off work for ten days for stress when pregnant with DD1, and found the whole set of famous fives on a pdf online. I read the first 19 during my sick leave. It was winter, had no kids, not much else to do... It was a lovely ten days.

DD1 just announced she was hungry. I asked her what she wanted for a snack, expecting it to be something junky and havign to argue her into something slightly less junky first. Nope, she wanted pasta. Just pasta, no sauce. Unfortunately I cooked the wrong sort of pasta. She wanted fusilli, not penne (not that she knows the words). You'd think I'd make a stand but I just shoved the wrong pasta in the fridge and made the right kind. Picking one's battles.

ValiumQueen · 26/07/2013 15:27

PR I am impressed. Very impressed. Very impressed indeed Grin

Passmethecrisps · 26/07/2013 15:30

At hairdresser. Just had 3 inches lopped off already and I have only been here 5 minutes. It feels better already, actually.

ValiumQueen · 26/07/2013 15:47

I have just bought an iPad cover for infants. Necessary with my 3yo.

PetiteRaleuse · 26/07/2013 15:51

Ha we have one of those covers. I find the battery runs down faster (maybe because it gets hotter?) but worth it.

ValiumQueen · 26/07/2013 15:57

It was £14.99 free postage in Argos sale. Now unavailable for home delivery but there are some in the stores. I would recommend it. I want one for my phone now.

PetiteRaleuse · 26/07/2013 16:04

That's a very good price.
