Well it seems appropriate you cheeky breeders.

In laws have hound as we're off to North Wales (via Shropshire and Wirral) on Weds for 2 weeks and the garden up there isn't enclosed and she's not allowed on the beach, so she'd spend the whole time locked in the house. No fun.

sybilfaulty · 29/07/2013 18:49

Another fine son. How wonderful. Congratulations Jammy xx

Artijoke · 29/07/2013 19:16

Congrats Jam! I love a matching brood. While I am delighted to have a son I was rather taken with having three girls when I found I was preggers. Are the boys pleased.

We saw dolphins today and seals and spider crabs. It was great. The girls loved the boat trip and MiL watched DS which was nice if her even if she smelt poo but felt nappies were "beyond her grandmotherly duty" so left him, when we got back his nappy had leaked up his back and down his legs, I had to throw his whole outfit away. Seriously, would you offer to look after a two month old if you were not prepared to change a nappy???

Artijoke · 29/07/2013 19:17

Oh and Beans we are on the Pembrokeshire/Ceredigion border. PiLs have a house here so we come each year. Where abouts in Wales do you go?

beans37 · 29/07/2013 19:25

We go north western tip. Sounds glorious. And no, I wouldn't offer to look after a 2 month old if I wasn't willing to change a nappy. How odd!

I'm with you on having 3 of the same. Of course I'm happy if its a boy, but think life would be easier/cheaper if the third was a girl too!!

JamInMyWellies · 29/07/2013 19:40

Arti how bloody weird.

Beans we need to sort out that cake/lunch date when the littlies go back to school.

Kayz I saw on FB your DH is delayed again , how frustrating.

Nolda · 29/07/2013 19:49

Congrats, Jam.

Your MIL is mental, Arti!

Mckayz · 29/07/2013 21:19

Thanks Jam. Now hopefully he'll be home Wednesday. Ds2 asked if he wasn't coming home because their room is a mess. Tempted to say yes and see if they'll tidy up.

beans37 · 29/07/2013 21:31

Having been quite little in this pregnancy, 3 people today have commentEd that I must only have a couple of weeks to go! Think I have suddenly popped out! Am enormous.
Kayz, do it! See what happens! Hee hee. Evil me.

Watching Tremors. Have never been able to see the attraction of Kevin Bacon. Still can't in this, but I LOVE him in those recent adverts and that episode of Will & Grace he was in. Yum.

Need to go to bed now. But will goggle for another hour, I'm sure!

Honsandrevels · 29/07/2013 21:34

Hurrah Jam! Fantastic to have a matching siblet. k

beans37 · 29/07/2013 21:49

PS despite all my chat about not being mad on the dog, I am missing her terribly. She just makes me feel safe!

Rubena · 29/07/2013 22:34

When we don't get back in time to collect her (dog) from kennel, after hols, or have to drop her off a day early, I hate it. So weird without her in the house.
House finally tidy and on top of washing after family visit!
Arti your mil is mental - she makes my mother look like Mary Poppins.

ShadyLadyT · 29/07/2013 23:44

Oh Jam, that's really lovely. How exciting. Bet the boys are thrilled!

I am just dashing in for now - last week we didn't break up until midweek then I had to take the girls to London to see their cousins from Bermuda, then we were off to the Midlands for my nephew's 21st, then today we've been in Swindon to sign some papers for the remortgage thingy then tomorrow is London as close friends over from Canberra, then Southampton for the night!

Have made it up with DP (though secretly am still a bit cheesed off), am TT DD2 and just racing around in the usual stupid way. I know it sounds idiotic but this school holiday just seems too short to get everything done that I need to. Am off to Mum's for the whole of next week, we're in Poland 14-21 Aug and then there ain't much of the holiday left!

Rubes - so crummy about the car. Really sorry. I know how awful those big car bills are. And I missed saying Happy Birthday to your DD.

Arti, I cannot believe you were so close camping! I could probably have walked! Oh but your DD1 has been a little star at school. Bet you're bursting with pride and I hope she is too.

And you were probably also close by for that matter Beans! Glad DD1 enjoyed being a bridesmaid - my DD1 adored it last year.

Sorry you are still waiting for DH, Kayz. Must be yucky.

Was looking at the Mitford graves today, most of them are buried fairly near hear. What a fascinating but weird lot.

Have lost bugger all on the 5:2. Mind you, I can only do one fast day this week.

Right, more soon hopefully. Must try to sleep....

beans37 · 30/07/2013 22:18

Weather forecast for north Wales next week: rain. Yay.

Artijoke · 31/07/2013 08:21

It's certainly raining in Wales today Beans, but for the last few days its been forecast to rain yet the sun has shone, so you never know.

Lady, where abouts in Oxon are you? I had no idea we camped so close. We basically camped under the white horse near a village called Uffington. It was stunning. We also went to another village called something like Buscot which had an amazing river we all swam in. I do love your county although I know you are ambivalent about it. It's good to hear you made up with DP, what was the fight about? Has it put you off DC3?

DD2 fell over spectacularly on the way home from the pub last night. I had to remove several small bits of gravel from a cut in her forehead. We would have taken her to hospital but hospitals that stay open past 6pm are few and far between in rural west Wales. I think she looks a bit better this morning. DS is doing his best to cheer her up with a series of the cutest smiles aimed in her direction.

Mckayz · 31/07/2013 15:49

DH is finally home! DD sat looking at him for a while.

Vagolajahooli · 01/08/2013 00:58

Hello ladies sorry for radio silence have been dealing with family and broken limbs (ds1 broke his wrist the day before we flew out).

Arti I am so proud of dd1 but a bit hmm at your inlaws, they make you cry and leave their grandson in poo? They know that is not nice.

Kayz sorry about your back how is it now? Psychologists would say don't say yes to the messy room question but I would have said yes instantly. What an opportunity!

Beans how is single parenthood treating you?

Hons & Sybs are you feeling better?

Jam yay another boy! If I had a third I'd want a boy, no idea what to do with a girl.

Rubes, nightmare with the car. That does sound odd that the gear box has gone already. Of all things that should go.

Rubena · 01/08/2013 14:39

Hello Vag!! Hope ds is coping ok and the cast isn't spoiling too much fun! Guess it's Winter there though so easier..... Really hot here today.

My second lot of guests have now left. Originally felt a little miffed as we'd gone out of our way to attend their wedding in NZ and barely saw them then, not to mention spending about 1k to go there, but then they've been here this trip for a month and they stayed just 1 night with us. However that said, as much as I'd have liked them to stay longer, I'm happy for the break of never ending visitors to honest! But you watch, I'll be pining for someone to visit in about 2 days! I'm so far out of babydom though, I was surprised at how foreign it all was to me with their 21 month old! [look away preggo one's] and just quietly was so relieved to be past that baby stage of naps, crying, watching them on stairs, and poo!

The car: arghhhhhhh the new place was convinced it was the same issue as Volvo said (gearbox shagged) they even narrowed it down tho the dif in the gearbox after driving it, then pulled it apart and discovered the gearbox is like brand new Angry Thankfully, we have written statements from Volvo saying we need gearbox replaced, plus photo's of completely pristine gearbox from the gearbox specialist but will no doubt have to pay for the labor involved to get the car back (after of course they fix the 'actual' problem - whatever that is) then we will raise hell with Volvo later.
Anyway, i'm standing by for news about it...... [fuming]

sybilfaulty · 02/08/2013 11:54

Yesterday was intolerably hot, wasn't it? I took kids to park about 4.30 and we barely lasted an hour as it was roasting. We had to return home for a second ice cream and a lie down.

Today better but m managed to lose his raincoat so we are in turmoil. He is wearing t, t is wearing Ls and L is wearing one if mine! She keeps taking it off and draping it round her waist whilst dragging sleeves on floor. Wish my children were better at looking after things. I know it's just stuff but it is a real shag having to replace them because they lose or damage things.

Am feeling rather skint. We are watching monsters university at cinema and tickets, snacks etc come to 35 quid! Eek. Won't be doing this regularly. Thank god I've smuggled my own snacks for me in my handbag. A small packet of nuts and possibly a small can of pimms should make the film go with a bang. Naughty mummy. Going to wait til 1pm before tucking in lest any of my fellow Barry Normans think I'm an alkie.

Hope everyone is doing well.

JamInMyWellies · 02/08/2013 12:10

I do that too Sybs. We take drinks and snacks from home. Order family tixs online (cheaper). If we can we also do the 10am showings cheaper again. I am the original skinflint.

It was disgusting yesterday. Took the dog out with the boys at 5. So so hot boys ended up in their pants swimming in the stream. Grin

DeidreBarlow · 02/08/2013 13:48

Hello lovely ladies. Back from my lovely hols in Lanzarote, with a small mountain of washing to work through. Kids had a ball. DS decided to abandon his armbands and swim without. Which is good but meant I did my best impersonation of a meerkat for the past week!

Eaten too much, drunk too much but was worth it. Diet starts Monday

Will try & catch up over the next few days but Jam. Congrats on the boy!Grin

Mckayz · 02/08/2013 15:19

I said yes about the messy room. The boys still didn't tidy it. DH sorted it yesterday with their help. We bribed them with 2p's for the amusements.

My back still isn't right. My right hip is really painful too. I've got some strong painkillers. Hope they work as we're away next week.

Vagolajahooli · 02/08/2013 15:41

Hello ladies it 12.30am here and I need to get to sleepy byes but thought I'd pop on and say hooroo. Its a bit nippy here as I'm at my mums village called Stanthorpe in the coldest part of Queensland, but monday we are heading back up to brisbane which is in the mid 20's. Just met up with an old schoolfriend who lives in the next town was great fun we giggled through dinner then watched 'the heat' at the movies which was hilarious. I've nearly finished my first assignment for the unit I'm doing but have done almost no exercise. Will be boot camp when I get home.

Ds1 is getting on with his arm he can't do cartwheels or play violin (which is a bit annoying as we dragged the bloody thing all the way over here) but he can go for a swim when we head up to see his cousins on the sunshine coast later next week. Mum took them out to watch kangaroos at sunset tonight and tomorrow night I'm going to show them the southern cross. The night sky is so beautiful out here.

Rubes that's a bit dodgy about the gear box. What is going on with volvo?

Vagolajahooli · 02/08/2013 15:46

Oops had to post.

Kayz your back sounds worrying, have they referred you to a physio or for any investigations?

Sybs I know what you mean about looking after stuff. Love the idea of a cheeky pimms o'clock at the movies. I have an image of you getting caught taking a slug by some teenage usher with a torch.

Hello Deids glad you had a nice time, meerkatting and all. Ds2 has become a bit lazy and wears his floaties again. Fine by me, I can enjoy watching chase lounge rather than bolt upright.

No nothing Vag. On Tuesday he said it'll be fine by the weekend. Today he said it'll be ok in about 10 days.
