Morning all! A good night here - quick feed at 2.30 then up for the day at 5.45, no stirrings from the big 2!

We just got the next stage car seat out for T. She's really too heavy for me to carry in it and often gets hysterical in it if she's not asleep or wakes up from a sleep. Growing up!

WLmum · 24/07/2013 06:51

You're all talking a foreign language! House full of girls and a not very sporty DH here.

SpottyTeacakes · 24/07/2013 06:54

We've got to buy the next car seat for ds as dd is still in hers. No way can I afford a ERF one so will probably go with the tobi again. I'm going to wait until he's a year though, he's only 16lb now Smile if he gets too heavy I will just leave the seat in the car. We're boring his infant seat though and the friend I'm borrowing it from has baby number two due in November.

I'm thinking of putting the travel cot downstairs for when I can't get an eye on ds. He's obsessed with dd's (lovely wooden) toy garage and always goes straight for it.

I have no idea what you're all talking about re football teams!

Ds stirred at 4:45 but went back to sleep I couldn't though Hmm

MaMaPo · 24/07/2013 07:34

What a mad baby - up at 3.30am do I fed her, she was still playin happily an hour and a Half later. In desperation I fed her again which did the trick, and she woke at 7. She went through a phase like this about 3 weeks ago. I don't love it, she can skip this one please!

Husband into cycling, we don't mind the rugby, he likes the cricket, neither of us into Aussie rules... Not a very spotty house really.

MaMaPo · 24/07/2013 07:34

Sorry spotty - we are not very sporty!

Barbeasty · 24/07/2013 08:17

DH likes F1 and that's it for sport. But my dad is an avid Bristol City supporter, so there will be some football influence.

A much better night last night, but we did calpol him before bed. These teeth had better make an appearance soon. He was punching himself in the mouth yesterday.

There are constant squeels and declarations of "I'm never playing with that again" with dramatic flounce from DD, as A moves around the room on a mission to get her stuff. The smaller and more choke worthy the better.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 24/07/2013 09:01

Haha and so the torture begins Beasty.

DP watches every football match going. I calculated once that in season we watch between 10 and 12h per week! I'm a rugby person so we also watch that.

Bit of a rubbish night last night compared to the night before. Would have been fine if I went bed at 8pm when DS went. He slept 8-2, 3-5 (in my bed) and then 5:30-7:30 (back in his cot). I've never been so warm in my life with his sweaty little body on me!

PurplePidjin · 24/07/2013 09:06

Dp is Leeds after they visited his school. R and i are Saints by birth. Dp runs, used to do Mixed Martial Arts and coach football - both of which he'll probably take up again with R (if he's interested) although cricket seems likely too, our local club is a short walk away. I swim when i can, want to start again but the pool in walking distance is shut for renovations. It reopens in the Autumn so I'll start popping up after bed time. I'd be out for 2 hours if i drove to one, which is too long while he's still waking regularly

We want R to have hobbies, but they'll be of his choosing. I'll encourage him towards sport and music as that's where i can support him best, but if he goes for science/engineering/building models/whatever then sobeit!

SpottyTeacakes · 24/07/2013 09:14

Pidj I went and watched saints training once and spoke with their manager, well the people I was with did I just sat there looking bored Wink

Dd loves music and ballet (something I know she probably won't actually be able to do Sad) but we can't afford to do everything with her...her ballet is £60 a term and music was £55 a term but we had to stop it.

Barbeasty · 24/07/2013 09:35

Both DC do swimming, and I want to carry that on once they're at school. DD loved her dance class, but unless the playgroup offer classes again there just isn't anywhere offering classes on a day she can go. I'd like them to learn a couple of instruments, and at some point we must have told DD that she could try riding a horse when she's 4. I think that last one could turn out to be a costly mistake.

And of course, I don't know where the money is coming from for any of this! Maybe watching a 2nd rate football team is the cheaper option!

WLmum · 24/07/2013 09:40

Haven't weighed T for ages but I think she's at least 20lbs and very long so won't be long before her head is at the top of the seat anyway. It's the screaming that's the main driver though tbh - it's so distracting especially as it upsets the other 2 who then moan or cry. I figure the danger from distraction outweighs the extra safety of the rear facing car seat at the moment.
Dd1 loves swimming and rainbows, dd2 does pre-school gym and will start swimming in sept. I'd like to let them try out whatever they like but it's all so expensive! I def want them to have hobbies/activities though.

WLmum · 24/07/2013 09:42

Oh yes, I really want them to learn an instrument too. I started piano lessons when I turned 30 but stopped completely after dd1 was born and rarely touch it now - absolutely plan to take it up again at some point in the future (maybe when dd3 is 18!)

halestone · 24/07/2013 14:15

I'm lucky my cousins teach dance classes, so H will be going there. We also would like her to do Tennis and Golf if she enjoys them. Willyou, like you i have to watch every football match that is televised. I call the TV the green screen, because thats the colour it mostly does now.

Feeling very much like I'm going to come on - boo. Still I suppose its about time. I guess she must be eating enough food to have dropped my supply enough to trigger it. Has anyone got their periods back?

WLmum · 24/07/2013 16:05

Ha - looked at the forecast for our camping trip next week - rain everyday with a storm on Monday!! There is sun forecast too and temps are low to mid 20s so much better. I guess we'll just have to see.

SpottyTeacakes · 24/07/2013 16:05

I haven't had ds has been sleeping through for over three weeks now Confused

WLmum · 24/07/2013 16:06

Bets for the royal baby name? I'm channelling Alexander for some reason.

WLmum · 24/07/2013 16:06

Jealous on both counts spotty!

SpottyTeacakes · 24/07/2013 16:13

He's a bit older Wink

I hope they go for Alexander too

halestone · 24/07/2013 16:45

I think Philip or Richard DP thinks Mark.

I've had 3 periods WL they came about a month after i finished BF.

I'm also Envy of DS sleeping Spotty.

I hope you have more sun than rain for your camping trip WL.

There was a king Stephen once they might use that....or they might surprise us and choose something that hasn't been used before

I do sometimes have to settle him around 4am but better that and he sleeps until six than him being up for the day at 5!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 24/07/2013 16:57

My life is still one long period WL, 7.5 months and counting Hmm

SpottyTeacakes · 24/07/2013 17:04

Shock WillYou are you on contraception?

WLmum · 24/07/2013 17:12

Omg willyou!!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 24/07/2013 18:09

Yep it's the mini pill. I've switched types a couple of times to try n find right one. Started new type again on Saturday.

I am very oestrogen sensitive and get migraines, so can only be offered mini pill, injection, coil & implant all of which are progesterone-based. I don't want anything too permanent just now even though they want to give me a coil even if I have it taken out in 3 months Hmm.

I do worry about anaemia though after bleeding for so long!
