Well she said she's let mw know by this morning about the job so think I can safely assume I didn't get it. Harrumph.

IsThatTrue · 10/07/2013 18:45

spotty if you have a water tank it's worth checking that the ball cock thing isn't weighed down. Ours did this as the lid had collapsed into the water tank. I sorted it temporarily as we are on a water meter so I wasn't willing to wait 2 days for a tradesman.

Well DS has mastered sitting to all fours and back again. He can also now get himself out of his bumbo and out of the living room, down the step and onto the patio, with no injuries. Shock I am doomed!

SpottyTeacakes · 10/07/2013 19:01

It's ok we're not metered Grinit's stopped now though Confused

WLmum · 10/07/2013 19:52

spotty nice work on the supply, sorry about the job. I didn't even hear from the 2 I applied for.
2blessed sorry you have a poorly baby. Hope it's all over quickly.

I just met new dn - seems so so tiny! Bless him he was cute and bil and sil seem to be doing really well.

SpottyTeacakes · 10/07/2013 20:12

I'm feeling really shit about it. I can't go back to my old job but there's just nothing about that I can do. I don't want to be struggling for money though Sad

halestone · 10/07/2013 23:13

sorry for absence but one too many ahem 'incidents' happened to the phone so now on Vodafone's cheapo naffo smartphone until I can renew my contract. bit of a bummer as I use my phone for work on the move so no wat around needing internet, but amazed at being able to buy a smartphone for £50

utopian99 · 11/07/2013 03:04

having fun getting used to mn app, always just used internet site before...

right I have a question. was back to pre-pg weight, looking normal a week ago, and now after a long weekend of very physical activity packing the house up abs not eating loads, I have put on 2lbs. am really reallyAngry and Sad .
in face also feel quite puffed of tummy abs ragey in general, plus knackered. is this the heat? (felt fine in Turkey,) or PMS? it's been ages since my last period but I uses to feel horrid/fat/generally marked with life just before. BUT I'm on the mini pill so thought you are safe from periods. could my body be trying to ovulate in defiance of the pill?

or am I just a fat miserable cow at the moment?

sorry for the mememe post, it's really bugging me..Sad

SpottyTeacakes · 11/07/2013 06:48

Apparently 4am is wake up time Hmm he stayed in his cot chatting/moaning/dozing until five when I fed him just to keep him quiet. He went back into his cot quietly until dd came in at six...

2blessed · 11/07/2013 07:31

Busy baby isthat! Grin

Thanks all. Ds vomited again last night, had a telephone consultation with dr who said it sounds like a bug similar to gastronteritis. He had a good night sleep though, only woke up at 2 and then again at 7. Fx he shakes this off soon.

spotty is it possible to get feedback on your interview? Am I right in remembering you work with young people?

SpottyTeacakes · 11/07/2013 07:36

Nope not me Grin I don't think feedback will help it was a really informal interview they obviously just didn't think I was right for the role. Glad ds seems to be feeling better

MaMaPo · 11/07/2013 08:26

Shame about the interview Spotty. But yay for your supply!

Quiet on here at the moment - everyone's outside enjoying the weather!

I have to take baby C with me to the hairdressers today - I had my hair cut yesterday while my husband was at home, but the "hairdresser" butchered it so I need to go and see if a proper professional can salvage it. If not, I will have a pixie cut. That's how badly the first person messed up?

The salon I'm going to is often pretty loud, with music, hairdryers, fans etc. I hope C will be OK in her pram, or in my lap. I asked around but don't have anyone who could have come with me to help out with her. But I need to fix my hair! Argh, it could be a disastrous morning.

2blessed, hope your LO feels better soon. Poor wee thing.

Decent sleep here - C seems to have dropped a night feed and is now sleeping from 7-4 consistently (though last night did 7-12 then slept until 6). She is awake a lot during the night though, just hanging out and playing quietly, but for hours on end. Is this weird? Should I worry?

Barbeasty · 11/07/2013 08:35

Spotty at least you're not panicking, trying to make childcare work, and you know your CV is up to date and good enough to get interviews. You don't need to worry about whether the stream of work from this job is constant enough. Keep looking, and find something even better.

Utopian this heat is very different from Turkey, it's far more humid which I always find much worse.

The last couple of nights DH has heard a child crying for a large part of the night, and then an even louder woman shouting at them

Barbeasty · 11/07/2013 08:38

Sorry, stupid phone.

An even louder woman sh outing at them to shut up. It's been so loud he's had to shut the windows, and at first he thought it was DD crying.

I hope the neighbours don't think it's us! And I'm not sure if we can/ should do anything. It must be on the next road along, we know none of our neighbours have such young children.

2blessed · 11/07/2013 08:42

ooops spotty Blush

WillYouDoTheFandango · 11/07/2013 11:44

You're not immune from periods in the mini pill Utopian, many people don't get them but some do. It's the luck of the draw I'm afraid. Sounds like PMT to me.

halestone · 11/07/2013 14:22

Utopian i think it sounds like PMT as well but if your worried go to your GP even if its just for reassurance.

My mum just got the bargain of the century a paddling pool from poundland and its the perfect size for our babies Grin Just thought i'd let you know incase you wanted to get one.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 11/07/2013 14:38

My mum pulled one out of the cupboard that she bought from tesco at the end of last summer. 50p, Hales. I spit on your £1 Grin

halestone · 11/07/2013 15:14

Oh no Willyou i'll have to go back and try and get a 2 for 1 Grin

WillYouDoTheFandango · 11/07/2013 18:05

You've been ripped off Wink

WillYouDoTheFandango · 11/07/2013 18:29

DS has a lovely Hmm new habit. In the afternoon he starts screaming at the top of his lungs with excitement at everything. Aaaaargh (my empty water bottle), aaaaargh (a coaster), aaaaargh (a balloon). He screamed for 2 hours yesterday and there was nothing i could do as he's not upset, he's happy. I bet the neighbours love us although they are twats so I don't really care.

halestone · 11/07/2013 18:48

Nothing wrong with a happy screamGrin that sounds so cute.

H has just played chase with she ran after me laughing in her walker Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 11/07/2013 19:05

I've not given ds a bottle tonight and he won't go to sleep. Not sure if it's coincidence. He's not hungry....it is hot though....

IsThatTrue · 11/07/2013 19:09

Ds has done 3 x 20 min naps today Hmm it's better than the 2 x 20 mins he had yesterday. But nowhere near enough. He is knackered. I've been forcing him to feed for the past 10 minutes as he fell asleep way too quick.

I'm really spaced out. I hope I'm just overtired and hot and I'm not getting ill.

emilyeggs · 11/07/2013 19:11

Evening ladies....it's that time.....H fed, bathed, teeth brushed and bed, toys away.....and now for some time with DH and maybe a glass of WineGrinGrinGrin
