Thanks pass. When were came home he said "I'm glad I've not left you yet, as N would be in hospital all the time". I'm getting at the end of my rope.

Luckily P is off 4x4 over the weekend. So I get the house to my self.

J still wide awake after a massive vomiting episode... All over me and the lovely new couch :-(

I am in bed. DH had J. We have the nurse coming tomorrow to help with weaning J. Hoping for a miracle!

vq have noticed no difference in J's sleep since changing diet. He is shit at sleep. Sleeps better in our bed but I do not.

TheDetective · 26/06/2013 22:29

Actually. I've just realised - I'm near ovulation time. This means DP knows sex could be on the cards.

Twat, he's sucking up to get a shag!

Cynical, me? Never!

Evil He said that?! What a cunt, fucking hell. Shock

Evilwater · 26/06/2013 22:35

Night all. Hopefully N will sleep.
det thanks.

horsey a cm is a good way of avoiding the winter bugs. At nursery he'll pick everything up but will be immunised by the time school comes around.

I don't have the choice. It was either 800?/month nursery for both or 2400?/month childminder. DD1 never got ill with the cm, but as time went on we had a very bad experience so put her in creche. At which point she got ill, a lot, but she was happy in a large group. Depends if you get a good cm.

kirrinIsland · 26/06/2013 22:44

Glad the childminder went well bplp

That's shit horsey Lucky you've still got time to sort it out. I sent DD1to nursery at 18 months. She loves it and its been great for her, but if I have buy in childcare for N before she's 18 months I'll probably go for a childminder - more personal and family like.

stunt Hope you got the tidying done and don't stay up too late. Good luck with the viewing

evil Hope N is feeling better soon. Don't feel bad. As pass said, 9 times out of 10 you'd have been right.

Hoping for a better night here tonight. n was great but DD1 has a molar coming through and was up and down all night :(

PetiteRaleuse · 26/06/2013 22:50

In September ideally LO would go to a cm, but I already sacked the 'best' in the area for being crap. Dd1 will be fine at creche. LO, not so sure, but the places are like gold dust- it is a very good creche. And I figure she can't have a worse winter healthwise than last year...

But French nurseries prepare them for French school. Rigour, routines, discipline. Unthinkable to you guys probably, but essential if they are to go thru the French system as mine will.

It pains me to say it but it is for the best for my two. And I'd rather they be in a group with several minders than on their own with one that, after a few months, I realise I coukdn't trust.

PetiteRaleuse · 26/06/2013 22:55

Ooh. I'm ovulating today. Had a bit of a non protected shag over the weekend. But DH should be clear by now? Almost three months post op? Doingthe test next week....

Moving on.

Erm.

Erm.

Writing that down has freaked me out.

Next?

YellowWellies · 26/06/2013 22:58

PR if there were the equivalent of French crèches here in Scotland I'd send Jonas in a heartbeat. They are amazing. My sister is going to take him two days a week once he's one so I can do some freelance. I'd like him in a nursery setting after three but wish our nurseries were more like the French.

YellowWellies · 26/06/2013 23:00

PR Shock Shock Shock Shock Wink Wink Wink Wink

TheDetective · 26/06/2013 23:03

What's the difference YW?!

PR Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 26/06/2013 23:06

No winks please.

It was silly. I can't physically have another baby. Already my ob gyn bolloxed me for getting upduffed with LO.

Was a v good shag though...

PetiteRaleuse · 26/06/2013 23:08

Difference is just what I said. French creches are excellent if you are ok with structure.

YellowWellies · 26/06/2013 23:21

Det French nurseries are staffed by highly trained staff, not minimum wage teens and the role is highly respected. Kids are taught manners and discipline, they're treated with considerable maturity ie how to appreciate different foods (they can have three course meals and a cheese course!!!), how to be a member of society, how to be responsible, all about their culture etc. French crèches are little societies.

It seems sad but from friends who've worked in UK nurseries there is far too little discipline (why do the tough stuff for min wage) and too much synchronised nap time regardless of kids individual schedules / which has a tendency to become time for staff to be on their mobiles Sad . We don't respect child care enough in this country or pay staff well enough for it to be done with excellence and diligence as standard - it's too often the profession for those who leave school unqualified to do anything else. That makes no sense as its such an important role. There are some amazing nurseries and CM in the UK but the French system kicks our arses!

PetiteRaleuse · 26/06/2013 23:33

What she said.

But if you're into free do what you like stuff, French nurseries don't suit. To work in one you have to pass tough, competitive exams. Maybe overkill, but you have a rcn on site all the time, and a paed pops in every week.

TheDetective · 27/06/2013 00:03

Ty! Sounds good to me! Are they more expensive?!

I am really rather disconcerted.

Ok so I just went in to the cupboard where the nappies/wipes are kept downstairs. I knew I used the last of the wipes at dinner. There was a brand new pack in there. DP has stocked it up. And he's stocked the upstairs box with nappies (was also empty).

I just hung up O's washing. He's remembered to use a colour catcher.

I don't know whether to be Grin or Angry. He clearly does know all the mundane shit wot needs doing. So why's it taken this long for him to do it?!

Arghhhhhhh!!!

TheDetective · 27/06/2013 00:06

Oh and the bastarding fucking cunting dog woke my peacefully, not woken up all evening, sleeping baby just as we came upstairs to bed. How?! By wagging her tail furiously on O's door and every hard surface to the left and right of it.

Wanker.

He's asleep now. Thank fuck.

PurplePidjin · 27/06/2013 01:41

Brockle i express in the disabled loo at one job, and the storeroom at another. The difference is that I'm there 3 hours a week or less! I would be quoting Discrimination law at them if i were you

StuntNun · 27/06/2013 05:52

Detective my fireguard has clips at the side that attach to rings in the wall so it wouldn't need to be exactly the same depth as the fireplace so long as the clips do up. It's one like this.

So no egg since Sunday but a very unsettled day today. I suspect last night's pizza. I gave up on tidying and was going to have an early night but DH phoned so I didn't get to bed until 10.45. J woke at 12 for a feed, DS2 woke me at 2 because DS1's alarm clock was beeping on the hour Confused then J woke me again at 4, I managed to settle him by 5 and he woke up again at 5.15. Another sleep-deprived day for me, it seems never ending. My car is getting serviced today do I'll have to spend 4-5 hours hanging around Larne waiting. Then get back home and finish prepping for the viewing. This is going to suck.

O slept 12 hours. But only had 10 oz of formula yesterday. Grrr.

Got a package delivered yest by ups and the driver was so handsome. Feeling guilty for noticing it. Went also for a personal trainer session and I'm really not in shape. I really worry about the cost though although much cheaper than in UK. I really hope she will be strict with me and put me on the right track. O was with a babysitter, screaming. Felt awful but I need to get 'me' back and she is with me all the time so it's beneficial for her in the long term.

horsey hope you will find something
lois saw your news on FB, so happy for you.
det hope he got a shag
stunt hugs

We are off to health visitor today, it's compulsory to have a 6 month check up here.

YellowWellies · 27/06/2013 07:02

8.15 - 7am. Clever bear!

Det what's he done? Wink

Lily don't feel guilty.

Sad to Stunt

ChasingDaisy · 27/06/2013 07:09

Oh evil I'm sorry but your P sounds horific, what an awful thing to say to you. Do not let him make you feel bad.

So O slept through until 5.30 Smile. And has been asleep in my bed ever since Smile Smile

PetiteRaleuse · 27/06/2013 07:34

detective are what more expensive? french nurseries? For me no, they are cheaper than cms but harder to get a place at. I applied for a place for my two last August and only got an answer a couple of weeks ago.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/06/2013 07:37

evil your P really is a twat.

TheDetective · 27/06/2013 08:50

I mean cheaper than the UK PR. :) FT nursery in my area is around £600 a month.

Lily No shag! I have my reasons. Explained below!! And there is no need to feel guilty for noticing someone is good looking. It's human nature. Would you notice a pretty dress, nice scenery? A good looking woman? Yes! So feel no guilt. :) x

YW That's what I'm wondering! He's not so chirpy this morning Grin.

Chasing! Hifuckingfive! 2 nights on the trot. Brilliant!

Strange night for O! After the dog woke him up, he settled quickly. But around 1ish (before I'd managed to fall asleep!) he woke again. DP tried to settle, came back and said to me I don't know what is wrong with him. I said, I know what is wrong! He wanted a feed. 2 of his 4 bottles he only took 4oz yesterday. So he was 4oz down on a usual day. O was fed, and took 4oz, then conked back out!!

Til I heard him gurgling in his cot when my alarm went off at 7.30 Grin. He started whinging not long after that though!! So actually, not a bad night, as a decent stretch of sleep happened!

Today I have steroid injections in my fanjo. I'm actually shitting it. I am not looking forward to this.... waaaaaaaah!
