Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I don't understand why youre having to go through all that det if it's your works payroll that you get full pay from?! Makes no sense at all!

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 03/07/2013 12:24

Fuck me bp that's fucking appalling. Am in your town today, have pm'd you, let me know if I can do anything. ((((( hugs )))))

TheDetective · 03/07/2013 12:33

BP I hate to say this, but she has done you a favour.

From what you have written she sounds inexperienced and unprofessional.

Sorry. :(

If you had posted this on the childcare boards I am sure they would say the same. :(

Don't let it put you off a CM if that is what you wanted. I have had some fab ones, and lots of people are more than happy with CM's.

Fuck though. Just fuck.

Thank fuck for parental leave though? Can DH take some too if needed while you get her settled in?

She will settle - it will just take time. Fucking hell, I'm angry for you and F. :(

TheDetective · 03/07/2013 12:34

Neither do I Izzy and work can't explain it either other than saying I'm not entitled to SSP.

But it doesn't affect me unless I go on half pay. Which isn't til the end of Sept. Confused

Passmethecrisps · 03/07/2013 12:39

Oh fucking hell, BP. That is a total nightmare. I must admit I was chatting to DH about what you were experiencing as we were supposed to have a settling in morning this morning (CM cancelled as her DD has a temp and sore throat). I echo det in that once you get past the shock and the frantic sorting out I think it will seem she has done you a favour. I would be interested in hearing a bit more about it when you are up for it.

In the mean time have some Brew, some dairy free Biscuit and enjoy some f cuddles.

PetiteRaleuse · 03/07/2013 12:40

Good luck at doctor vq

just been to paed will update in a bit but just wanted to say:

pig if your cm can't cope with a few day's crying you are well shot of her. There is nothing that unusual about a difficult settling in period.sounds hopeless. Good luck finding someone else Flowers

PetiteRaleuse · 03/07/2013 12:46

Right DD1 is drinking too much milk. It's become a comfort thing. Paed doesn't think it is an intolerance as such, yet, but says to cut to one bottle a day, give her some probiotics to help her digestive system resettle and see how it goes. Cheese and yoghurt ok for now, but not in excess.

Reasoning behind not cutting out completely is there are no other symptoms and she is drinking a litre of the stuff a day. Also if she wants juice or squash that's fine, but no sugar free stuff as the sweeteners could also be damaging her bowels.

She was very grateful for the pictures of the poos in the potty. :o So that's a tip for when you go to doc with poo troubles for the children. Take a pic :o

Still Shock about pig here

BigPigLittlePig · 03/07/2013 12:53

Thanks guys.

I'm still Shock too pr about how quickly she has thrown in the towel. But after some of the comments she's made, I think it is for the best. Here are a selection.

We only give cuddles to good little children.
She's nearly made me burn my house down.
I have never met such an angry baby.
(From the CMs mum to F) It's your mummy who's made you this way, isn't it?

She's such an angry little bitch Pretending I didn't hear that one as it makes me want to be sick.

Lily311 · 03/07/2013 12:57

Oh my fucking hell bp, she is very unprofessional . I would be tempted to find out who her coordinator is and complain. Also complain to Ofsted. Poor poor baby, maybe she was hysterical because she could see through her?? I'm fuming, this is really not on. Your baby is amazing and your are a good mum, don't let a bloody woman make you question that.

BigPigLittlePig · 03/07/2013 13:03

It had got to a point today where F was refusing her milk. Which is why she rang. So she has had 2oz since 5 this morning. Currently she is snotty but happy, having discarded a bread stick in favour of mummys toast.

Have rung a nursery where a lot of her friends from baby group will be going. The manager is ringing me back later.

Off to read about other woes now. Saw briefly that VQs J is not well, hope GP goes ok xx

PetiteRaleuse · 03/07/2013 13:04

Complain complain and complain again. I'd also be tempted to warn others, but I suppose she could sue you for that. She's done you a favour. If she can't handle a crying baby then imagine what she'd be like if an accident happened. A year down the line if LO fell and broke her arm for example. Would you be able to trust her to stay calm and do what's necessary? I think not.

Also she seems to want to blame you or the baby. That would indicate she may not, if something went wrong and it was her fault, be able to be mature and take responsibility.

And as for only cuddling good babies? Not only is she immature, irresponsible and in the wrong job, she's also a fucking bitch.

Well shot of her.

TheDetective · 03/07/2013 13:08

Fuck I just read the one you striked through.

Ofsted - complain. Seriously. What a nutcase.

She is giving CM's a bad name. She shouldn't be one if that is her attitude Shock

Will read more now....

TheDetective · 03/07/2013 13:09

Fucking well said PR

Cunt.

BigPigLittlePig · 03/07/2013 13:12

I love the quiche.

ValiumQueen · 03/07/2013 13:13

BP fucking hell! Fuck me! I am fuming for you, and quite tearful. Big big big hug honey, for you and little F.

I was going to say that perhaps it was because little F was not well, and perhaps it is best to wait until she is better before trying again, BUT MY GOD those comments cannot be left unchallenged. You HAVE to report her to the local authority - not sure who, but she is registered and should lose that registration! Please please do this for the sake of any future mindees, and also her wee tots. Utterly fucking disgraceful!

Well, Jacob threw up at 11.30 just as we were leaving the house. He had his bottle at 9.30 and it all came back. He brightened after this and his temp was down.

We get to the doctor and I explain the situation, whilst J gives her big smiles and pokes his tongue out. Dr says he is making mummy look like a liar, which is true, but upset me a bit. Anyway I say his chest is awful, she puts a stethoscope to him whilst grinning at me. The grin swaps to a very serious face. Yes we have a very bad chest here. Antibiotics and review. The blood is from a fissure and she could actually see it so I accept that theory.

We leave the consulting room and J is hysterical. Little sodlet!

izzybizzybuzzybees · 03/07/2013 13:14

Oh my goodness bplp that's horrendous!

det that's so odd they have written when you still have so long on full pay to go!

pr hope you can get DD1 to cut her milk and feel better

I've got an appt at dr today about my dodgy pinky again. It's still no better and really sore and wonky looking.

Then the rest of the day will be making puree for James and nurse visit tomorrow and maybe continuing to watch series 1 of hart of Dixie on the

BigPigLittlePig · 03/07/2013 13:14

Det I don't get it. Why are you having to phone JC? You have a job!?

PetiteRaleuse · 03/07/2013 13:14

You know what? I wouldn't be able to cope with a crying baby all day. It's bad enough when my own cry. But guess what. Not in this life or the next one would I ever become a childminder. Not even if it was the best paid job out there, because it is fucking hard if you're not cut out for it. Some people are and they are brilliant. Others aren't so she needs to. Fucking retrain.

Maybe ask garden pixies advice as she is a cm, and iirc, loves it.

PetiteRaleuse · 03/07/2013 13:18

vq great news it's a fissure. Do you have cream to put on it as when he poos it will be like shitting broken glass

Children at the doctor's are like when you call IT with a problem at work and all of a sudden your PC starts working again the minute they are on the phone. All smiles and mischief. I suspect your doctor knows that and wasn't meaning to call you a liar, just making light of the situation.

Great news that she picked up on the chest issue and has given you treatment. Obviously not gerat that there is a chest issue but you know what I mean Flowers

TheDetective · 03/07/2013 13:19

BP I have no fucking idea either. But I do have a fucking headache now. Hmm

This is the number you need to complain about a childcare provider directly to ofsted. 0300 123 1231. I got that from the information leaflet on their website. If you want the link just shout!

Elizadoesdolittle · 03/07/2013 13:20

Only skim read, will catch up properly this evening but just wanted to comment on your situation bplp. I am absolutely fuming on your behalf. As others have said you are very lucky to be well shot of her. I am appalled at what she has said to you. A very good friend of mine is a cm and would never behave in this way. It's disgusting. I'm sorry she's made you feel like shit and left you in the lurch but I'm not sorry that F doesn't have to be subjected to her again. What a fucking biatch. Good riddance!

PetiteRaleuse · 03/07/2013 13:23

"She's such an agry little bitch" well it takes one to fucking know one.

Twat.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 03/07/2013 13:23

Glad to hear you have treatment for Js chest now vq. You pair have really been though the mill!

ValiumQueen · 03/07/2013 13:23

No cream for bum. I am still puzzled as the blood was in mucous and bits were clotted. Fairly fresh darkish red. If it were from a fissure surely it would just be there, in a streak, rather than neatly interspersed in mucus.

Detective although you are on full pay, part of the pay is SSP so paid by the government, like with SMP. Seems mighty discriminatory though. How about starting a thread to see if others have experienced similar?

PetiteRaleuse · 03/07/2013 13:23

Notes irony as I write out angry and bitchy psts on this thread> :o
