PP those nappies in sainsburys. What make are they?

Evilwater · 26/06/2013 03:13

Another crap night here. n has decided not to stay sleeping. Angry this is the 2nd time he has woken majorly tonight. Mummy is not impressed and it doesn't make for a good day.

Evil

PurplePidjin · 26/06/2013 03:24

Own brand iirc

MaMaPo · 26/06/2013 04:37

Oh, thanks vq. A combination of wakefulness and teething means we're on our 3rd feed of the night. Yawn. She can't be hungry, surely, but I figure it's soothing for her if she's in discomfort.

Nights like this I really really wish we had more than a 1bed flat. Would love C to have her own room. Not until November! She'll be nearly 1!

Lily311 · 26/06/2013 05:44

Friend left, O slept through. Yey.

Toys, she likes her comforter though only gets it at nap and night times. She loves stacking boxes, brio train track (chewing not playing) and she adores her fisher price animal train. But the best things are shoes, wipes, remotes, nappies.

ChasingDaisy · 26/06/2013 06:11

Erm, Oscar slept through... 7 - 6 Shock First time ever!

kirrinIsland · 26/06/2013 06:17

congratulations on the job pennie

sorry bout the shit night VQ Hope tonight is better Brew

I'm just off to get on the bloody train as my car got clamped at work yesterday - 30 miles away! grrr Not remotely consoled by the fact it's all my own fault Grin

Lily311 · 26/06/2013 06:18

Congratulations to minichasing!

StuntNun · 26/06/2013 06:28

Man I'm tired. J slept 9 - 3 then 3.30 - 6.15 but I didn't get to bed till 11.30 because I was tidying up. Confused The house is an utter disaster area and I have a viewing tomorrow night. I was hoping to get the place tidy yesterday so I could clean today but I didn't even get the downstairs finished. I'll just have to stay up tonight until it's done. Not great when I'm already wrecked. I don't even want to sell the house any more as I have a planning application in for an extension but until that's approved I suppose we need to keep our options open.

Fab news chasing

Completely forgot to congrat pennie on her new job so congratulations. You don't fancy moving to Mexico once the contract is up?

stunt was about to lay into mrstunt for not helping you but Iirc he is in Trier?

One wake up here, but I kept myself awake as usual...

FatimaLovesBread · 26/06/2013 07:17

After the two early waking, thought I was in for a night of crap sleep. Took myself off to the sofa away from DHs snoring and thrashing.

M slept 11:30-5am!! Longest she's done in a long time. Yay!

PetiteRaleuse · 26/06/2013 07:41

Sorry you had such a bad night vq

StuntNun · 26/06/2013 07:46

Yep PR MrStunt is in Germany, DS1 is playing up something chronic including pouring water in DS2's bed Monday night so I had to change his sheets. J decided to greet the day at 6.15 this morning and now he's complaining that he's tired the silly sausage.

PurplePidjin · 26/06/2013 08:03

We were up ever 1 1/2 - 2 hours all fucking night.

Do not expect me to make sense today so just like normal then Hmm

Passmethecrisps · 26/06/2013 08:27

Morning.

To do list for today:
Chill the fuck out
Go for a walk in the sunshine
Entirely unreasonably buy a coffee (we have a 12 cup coffee machine and we drink a full pot every morning)
Find a sacrifice to make to the snot, reflux, teething gods for VQ, izzy, stunt and so on
Laugh at the fun things P does like squealing at the cat or finding her new frog bib hilarious.
Try not to get wound up by the mess and the whingeing

And swear a lot. It is fucking Wednesday after all

PurplePidjin · 26/06/2013 08:38

To do list for today:

Teach friend how to use stretchy wrap for her nap-dodging 7wo
Give blood
Work tonight drink tea and play uno

ChasingDaisy · 26/06/2013 08:49

oh fuck, there were some really shit nights last night Sad

VQ poor J and poor you, that sounds horrendous.

stunt, once again I wish I could fly over there and help you.

VQ and PP yep, it is the Sainsbos little ones nappies. I use them for O's daytime nappies and they're pretty good.

O is a kicker here too. Favourite toys are packets of wipes, keys and remote controls. He loves his jumperoo, stacking rings and stacking cups.

To do today:

Walk to the library with O and register us both with a library card.
Pack up O's too small clothes.
Take name off utility bills at flat.

PetiteRaleuse · 26/06/2013 08:55

To do list for today:

  • prepare batch of ratatouille
  • do a couple of hours of study (45 minutes already done)
  • prepare guest bedroom
  • write up business plan new routine and long term sleeping objectives
  • laundry
  • write up my return to work plan (don't ask but it involves lists and lots of organisation and reorganisation of the house)

Exciting life led here. But I am feeling much more positive today. I think it's because after yesterday's discussion I'm allowing myself to be more control freakish open to organising the home like I would organise the office. Writing everything down really helps and I presented the new rulez to DH last night as a done deal, and we were able to have a focussed discussion rather than a vague 'oh we must do something about this' one.

Yes, aware I am coming over as a sad case.

ValiumQueen · 26/06/2013 09:32

Fucking child tax credits have cut our money in half with no warning. I will be spending my day on the phone to them. Whilst looking after two sick kids.

BigPigLittlePig · 26/06/2013 09:37

Fuck me chasing that's awesome!

I'm down with the shit sleepers club. 6oz at 10pm, then she woke at 1.50. There was no effing way she was hungry, so I rubbed her back for 40 minutes until she fell asleep. Which lasted 10 minutes Hmm. So I slept on a cotbed mattress on the floor (sound familiar vq!?). She spent the night between my bed and hers. BUT didn't feed again until 5am (otherwise boobs would have exploded in a messy fashion). So 7 hours between feeds which is much better. I am determined to crack these nocturnal snackings, she doesn't need them. I kept reminding myself of the article I posted a few weeks ago, where the author said "of course they'll cry, because who wouldn't, when your favourite drink on tap is removed". The gist of it was, they cry because they're pissed off, nothing else. And it was true.

Anyhoo. She has been deposited at the childminders in a screaming fit with oodles of tears pouring down her face and heart rending sobs Sad. Worst. Thing. Ever. Only 3 hours til I can collect her though Grin

To do list:
Make a very strong pot of Brew and hand round to fellow sleep deprived quiche mummys
Go to baby group without a baby so I can gossip with RL mummy friends (this isn't too weird, no?)
Collect the piglet from CMs
Spend hours cuddling her and trying to make her giggle

PetiteRaleuse · 26/06/2013 09:40

Shock why the fuck have they done that? Twats.

I am mildly irritated by some fb related passive aggressiveness from my SIL. Has gone through my England photos liking all the ones of DH and the DC; in fact the only photo with someone she knows on that she hasn't liked is the one with just me on it. I hate being so stereotypical and having such issues with my MIL and SIL but they are quite ridiculous.

Lily311 · 26/06/2013 10:34

Tesco does online shopping as of today in Hungary, guess who placed an order for tmrw eve?? I'm fucking fed up going through the whole city. The best thing is that delivery is exactly the same price as the return bus ticket.

To do list:
Unload washing machine
Load washing machine
Finish cleaning
Eat
Catch up on emails
Take O to playground

Kyzordz · 26/06/2013 10:49

Morning all! 8-7, with a wake up at 6:20 but think that was because of dp getting in from work, he went back off with his dummy :)

Catching up from where I left you all last night...

bplp do something for yourself, hope it goes ok :) bet f will be fine :)

Ds likes noisy toys and things with lights but mostly he wants the remotes! And phones. Neither of which he is allowed. Probably why he wants them! Oh and tags and laces and buttons too. And Sophie the giraffe

pikz e loves his horrid vtech ball too. I hate it!

No idea on a toothpaste det sorry! Still no teggies here!

Oh vq that does not sound fun at all :(

Nappy changes are a nightmare here too, he wants to be anywhere else and is a bugger to hold down!

Hey mamapo nice hearing from you :) e did a period of waking up at about 6 months I think, it didn't last long so hopefully you'll see the back of it soon

Brew for all the bad nights :(

Fuck yes chasing how awesome!!!! Well done o!!!!

Sorry totally forgot to say congrats on the job pennie hope you enjoy it!

Definitely swear a lot pass hooray for sweary cunting weds!

Glad you're feeling more positive pr :) glad the discussion went well also :)

Fucking hell vq?!?!? Hope you get it sorted

Today's to do list...

Not stress about weaning/meals today
Get some cleaning done
Spend some time outside
Sort out freezer/fridge thing because both are full of random things and I expect lots more space once they're sorted out

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 26/06/2013 11:25

Pidj well done on the blood donation. I need to get back into that too.

mamapo DS does this. Happy and wanting to play until it all gets too boring for words so screaming replaces the chatting/singing/blowing of raspberries.

VQ fuckers

BPLP it will get easier to leave her. She probably stopped crying the second you'd driven off.

pennie yay! on the job front!

PR Military style organisation of absolutely everything in written form is the only way I can cope with life anything stressful. I make my plan, I inform people of the plan I pretend to take comments on board, we execute the plan. Even the word plan makes me feel calm and happy. PLAN

kyz looks like you and chasing had good nights Grin Envy

To do list for today:

  • thread some currency for greek friends getting married who are having a money dance
  • book in chap to come and steam clean the floors at home (original wooden floorboards in old terrace house which look lovely but which are so fucking filthy and DS is obsessed with zooming around on them)
  • Menu plan for next week
  • budget for next month
  • see if new Wednesday routine makes a difference to bedtime tonight
  • attempt not to lose temper with DH for minor reasons although how minor is being lazy, initiative-less, blind-to-chores, etc

PLAN

wellieboots · 26/06/2013 11:57

hello! Have missed the last I don't know how many threads but just wanted to pop in. DD started crawling last week, the flat is total chaos. She had been sitting for quite a while, about 5.5 months I think. Her new trick today was using DHs knees to pull herself from sitting to kneeling, where has my baby gone?! Hugs to all who are dealing with illness and non sleepers.
