Yep pass that is the list I was working my way through today Smile

TheDetective · 28/06/2013 20:54

Fuckity fuckity fuck - no need for jealousy GT. It would be more helpful if babies learned to roll/walk/crawl at the same time as learning to understand!! ARGHHHHH!

Today has been long. Long. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG. O has whinged and high pitched screamed the whole day. Didn't matter what me or DP did. He had 4 hourly calpol which is a first. He's only ever had it as a one off and usually in the evening at bedtime.

Tonight he's had both calpol and Ibuprofen. He can only have one more calpol dose before 10am tomorrow. I can only think it is his teeth. He is biting and chewing everything he can, including syringes and spoons. Refused his tea. Just sat there shaking his head from side to side tell me you don't understand no now little O! and clamping his mouth shut. He took 1oz of his bedtime bottle, despite not having fed since 4pm, and not having his tea.

I think I'll slope off for an early night, because there isn't going to be a good nights sleep ahead I am sure!

Oh, and O pulled himself up to standing against the sofa this evening. So not only is he rolling, crawling, kneeling, knee walking, he is now standing himself up. Slow the frig down, I can't keep up Confused.

The house is now back to it's unoscardestroyed state. Hmm

ChasingDaisy · 28/06/2013 20:57

Really need to find somewhere soon as my stepmum in particular, is getting pretty fed up of us living here. My dad is also saying that I need to get something sorted soon. I'm starting to get the feeling that we aren't that welcome here Hmm I have been trying non stop and have lost count of the number of properties I have enquired about. I have even looked at properties in Northampton as a last resort, but nothing.

Fuck a duck.

TheDetective · 28/06/2013 20:57

Water - I give cooled boiled water if it is available as this is what he prefers. Tap water if water isn't cool enough when I need it. He just wets his mouth and spits it out if tap water!

Pasta I haven't tried with it as finger food yet. I will do soon though! He didn't like it when I made baby pasta in a tomato sauce :(

TheDetective · 28/06/2013 20:59

Oh no chasing. Can't believe they are being like that :(

As if you want to be there in this situation FFS.

I'm going to FB message you...

ValiumQueen · 28/06/2013 21:11

Chasing how about trying somewhere completely new? Or down towards PP? Or up towards Haggis-land?

ChasingDaisy · 28/06/2013 21:15

I had thought about that VQ but I just assumed I would have the same issues with HB etc

Elizadoesdolittle · 28/06/2013 21:19

Ooo pass I love Friday night tele. I like the million pound drop (watching now) and Graham Norton. DH is out on the piss so I have feet up with tea and chocolate hob nobs. Yum.

chasing Yep, tap water here too and E loves munching on the spiral pasta. She finds them easier to hold than the penne which slip out of her grip. I did try spagetti but she didn't really get it, but that was a couple of weeks a go so she may be better now. Sorry re the housing situation. I'm afraid I have no wise words of wisedom, just lots of hugs.

Welcome back daisy I have post holiday blues big time, hope you aren't depressed to be back.

Had a good trip to the SALT team and dietician today. E has put back on a good amount of weight and has broken the 15lbs barrier. The speech and lanuage therapist was really impressed with her eating and E took 50ml milk from a doidy cup. We don't have to have any more weigh ins for a month now (longest ever) and hopefully at the next meeting we can reduce the amout going down the tube. So I'm starting to feel the end is in sight, although I know it's a long way yet.

Off to a BBQ for the rugby tomorrow and then out for a few drinks in the evening so should be a good day. Hope the rain buggers off.

kirrinIsland · 28/06/2013 21:42

great news eliza

Sounds tough chasing but keep looking, something will turn up. There must be landlords out there that would be happy to have you - nice, reliable long term tenant.

Good luck with the pil's return GT.

Not envying those of you with crawlers! N is still at the just about sitting unaided stage and I am not encouraging her to do more. She has discovered she can cross a room by rolling, which DD1 never did, but no signs of crawling yet.

StuntNun · 28/06/2013 21:49

Going to bed early, wish me luck,

Chasing there may be less demand on property or more availability elsewhere. I still think you may be better off going to a refuge and being re-housed from there. At the moment you are not homeless so not a priority I guess.

J has just projectile vomited all over DH. He was in his cot and started coughing. DH went to get him and screamed like a girl as it was all in his (DHs) mouth, eyes etc. I must admit I did giggle.

He has never seen that before. It was good for him to see. It has happened to me dozens of times except I have the sense to keep my mouth shut.

ValiumQueen · 28/06/2013 21:51

Good luck Stunt. May the quiche be with you x

ChasingDaisy · 28/06/2013 21:55

The council (Northampton) actually consider me to be homeless, high priority etc but still a 9 month wait

Kyzordz · 28/06/2013 22:02

Good luck stunt

vq I would've giggled too! Is j in bed now?

Hope good nights are had all round

Bryzoan · 28/06/2013 22:13

Chasing - I am really shocked. If a young mum who has been a victim of dv and her 7 month old baby can't get support in finding somewhere to live who the fuck can? Maybe try calling shelter for advice if you haven't already? I do think it is a shame your folks aren't being a bit more helpful, but keep your chin up and keep going. Something will turn up because it has to!

StuntNun · 28/06/2013 22:20

Sleep fail. J has been crying and now DS1 is sobbing in bed because he had a nightmare and I won't let him have the main light on because it would stop DS2 from sleeping. No sleep allowed here.

PetiteRaleuse · 28/06/2013 22:33

I don't want to get into politics but now is a horrible time to be in need of anything in the UK. I agree with vq though, women's aid might be a good option. Or... Mve somewhere new. Lots of places out there (and a spare room here if you need it for a break) chasing

Sorry, but mwah ha ha ha ha to the valiumking :o One of the very few times DD1 vommed was straight into my mouth and I am keeping that story back for her wedding day :o

eliza that sounds really positive. I'm sure I'm not the only quiche member who will be freaking celebrating when that tube comes out.

luis that is bad luck. Has he spoken more since that first time? I was thinking of you the other day, there was a thread by a MNer whose daughter had spoken her first words at 12. Then your post on fb came up. Something in the water?

stunt best of luck

I'm just still seething at the whole nastiness of my work situation. Will copy and paste on fb my email exchange tomorrow Angry

PetiteRaleuse · 28/06/2013 22:34

Crap. Cross posted stunt :(

That sucks.

GTbaby · 28/06/2013 22:54

Oh no daisy. Shock

Chasing hope you find somewhere soon. Our council give out our details as one of the properties fil owns is offered to HB. Strange as I'm sure he has said it's financially better then private letting. Wonder why more ppl dont accept it.
Shame parents feel that way. Wonder if PIL secretly want us to move out?

Pass... Was going to say something. Can't remember what ....

Luis that sucks. FX for cold to get better quickly xxx

Det don't question it (we all know your reading! Mr) just enjoy it and apprisiate it.

Still giving cooled boiled water.

GTbaby · 28/06/2013 22:56

Pass. 4cubes is what lo is having.

BP I can't see why your going. Will you be posting less because of work? You will still be about no? Shock Don't go!

ValiumQueen · 28/06/2013 23:06

Everyone in bed in the Palace. Mummy last tonight. DH was tired. Not happy with him tonight. Git.

That is dreadful Chasing. Absolutely dreadful.

Pass 4 cubes is ace. Scale it up and see how much it would be. J struggles to make 2 disappear. And I am a fucking awesome cook before you ask.

No sweets up noses today but we did have a cut tongue. Not bad thankfully, and her fat lip from last week is ok now. She looked like a duck it was so swollen.

Luis poor J losing his voice reminded me of the 'isn't it ironic' song by Alanis Morrisette.

ValiumQueen · 28/06/2013 23:08

Stunt I have come to the decision that having more than two children is fucking hard work. Are you still feeling broody?

MsJupiterJones · 28/06/2013 23:27

That is great Eliza, well done E!

TheDetective · 28/06/2013 23:32

Ahhh feck. Just opened O's door to check on him before bed. Was met with a pair of steely eyes staring right back at me. Hmm and a flip of the legs to kick at the cot mobile.

Go back to sleep go back to sleep go back to sleep!!!

No sounds yet...

Who am I kidding? He had 1oz at bedtime and no solids at dinner ffs!!!

Passmethecrisps · 28/06/2013 23:45

Tonight is a night for sleeping with the dressing gown on it seems. . .
