Everyone is on Facebook.

I have to go on there too. Nothing on the scale of everyone else's problems but a difficult situation.

Donnadoon · 28/06/2013 12:47

im here Grin

TheDetective · 28/06/2013 13:03

I'm getting really worried about DPs personality transplant!

He's been out this morning and done the food shopping. He's been back 20 minutes and has so far, picked up after ME (!!!) there's a turn up for the books! I put my plate down after eating and he was over picking it up and putting it in the kitchen straight away. He then got the Hoover out. Now he's folding the dry washing and hanging up the wet.

I might offer him on loan ha!

I feel so fucking lazy at the minute!!!

BigPigLittlePig · 28/06/2013 13:10

Turns out those pelican bibs, the ones with the bit to catch food in, are a proper little treasure trove to inquisitive baby hands. Smushed up banana? Check. Rice cake? Check. Toast crumbs? Yes please. Delightful Hmm

Donnadoon · 28/06/2013 13:41

Det he is up to or after something...failing that all your training has paid off Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 28/06/2013 14:11

Or maybe he just realises that it was time to strap on a pair and man up, as he is lucky to have such a fab partner and child.

TheDetective · 28/06/2013 14:30

I like that idea PR!

He can't be after a shag, as he knows stabbed fanjo is not to be shagged! So, I have no idea!

Oscar pressed the destruct button this afternoon.

So far he's escaped out the living room, and I followed him as he made it to the stairs, he eyed up the stairs, pulling up to his knees on the bottom step.

He got to the fireplace and pulled some of the stones off, which sent the whole thing crashing down.

BRB he's escaped... he was on his way to the kitchen. Me and DP stood in the doorway behind him, and I said to DP, what have we created?! ARGHHHH! One thing, we'll never be bored, eh?!

PetiteRaleuse · 28/06/2013 14:30

I'm soooooo angry about the thing I mentioned on facebook. It's just pure spite. I really really hate it when I have to deal with proper cunts like that. It's just so boring.

PetiteRaleuse · 28/06/2013 14:31

I'm dreading letting LO loose outside her walker or her babycage. I find it hard enough to keep an eye on DD1. My excuse for now is that the floor is too slippery, but DD1 learned to crawl on a tiled floor, no reason LO shouldn't.

TheDetective · 28/06/2013 14:38

ARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FFS. He just climbed up the side table, and reached the bowl of potpourri. It isn't even in his reach for crying out loud.

How on earth am I going to babyproof this house? I can babyproof. But that won't be Oscar proof Hmm.

ChasingDaisy · 28/06/2013 15:13

Afternoon all!

Det I am mightily impressed by your O's destruction skillz. And simultaneously glad that mine isn't a mover yet. He is a proper character.

O slept 7-11 and then slept through last night Smile The two nights of him sleeping solidly through coincided with him having bread with his dinner, so carbs might be the key.

Had a nice day with a friend and her 17mth old today. O adores her - he is such a flirt! A real ladies man.

XP has O all day tomorrow

ValiumQueen · 28/06/2013 16:54

Chasing try to use the time to do something for yourself if funds will allow. Something nice, even if it is just a long bath, sleep, or window shopping.

There is a lot of shit happening for our quichesters at the moment.

((((((((((((((((((((Group hug))))))))))))))))))))

GTbaby · 28/06/2013 19:11

Omg. 5mins to catch up on ohhh about 22hours of posting. Unheard of!

So many shit times going on. Shall I add to it haha my PIL are back tomorrow and will be here for 6weeks Hmm OKOK no where near a real problem, but maybe I can provide us all with some light hearted WTF moments for a while.

Have spent all day cleaning in readiness for their arrival. Exhausted.com.

Det I'm a bit jealous of Os antics. Can't wait for LO to be getting into mischief.

Lmao. Lo is doing a lil dance. In what I can only describe as Stevey wonder side to side head shake.

Now just got to wait for FH to come back from tesco with a monster shop. Unpack shopping then he can help me bath lo. And finally I can shower.

I was super proud of my shopping list writing skills today. All items written in groups based on location in supermarket. Lol.

BigPigLittlePig · 28/06/2013 19:51

Hmmm tumbleweed aplenty on here tonight!

Had a lovely last-day-of-maternity-leave day with F Sad. She was full of giggles and cuddles and general scumptiousness. I am going to miss her beyond words next week.

GT am looking forward to some words of wisdom from MIL!

Chasing Envy

Det good luck. That is all. Oh, and have you got to the bottom of why dp is being so bloomin' nice yet?! Surely he must have a guilty conscience? No man is that helpful for that long except luis.

LuisGarcia · 28/06/2013 19:55

How unfair is this? J has a cold.... and has lost his voice

ChasingDaisy · 28/06/2013 20:01
ChasingDaisy · 28/06/2013 20:01

Oh Luis that is just cruel Sad

PurplePidjin · 28/06/2013 20:02

I'm lurking. I have nothing useful to say.

Oh yes i do...

Murray and Robson both through :o

Passmethecrisps · 28/06/2013 20:09

luis that is the most unfair of unfair things I have ever heard in my life! Poor wee soul.

Well, p enjoyed her trip to school today. Being greeted by 150 teachers all at once didn't phase her. It was lovely to see everyone and being there gave me a really warm feeling. It made me feel like I was ready to go back.

I then took p to see the doc. Her rash looked utterly horrific by then. It is a combination of a viral rash and exzema caused by being too hot and having the virus! I have been overdressing her I think. Time to ditch the vests.

Anyway, she was is much better fettle today. No idea if the virus was causing her mumpiness or crawling or teeth but she seemed much happier. Oh, and I upped her meds a touch again this morning so it could have been that as well. She is now able to quite happily crawl a few steps and combines that with dragging herself along when she gets tired. Her favourite thing is still roll-roll-sit-roll-roll-sit.

DH is working until the early hours tonight. I was looking forward to having the telly to myself but there is naff all on.

Oh! I had a wee question. P is now happily nomming most things off a spoon. For her tea tonight she had one cube each of: chicken, chicken juice, sweetcorn and roasted butternut squash. How does that sound for quantity?

Passmethecrisps · 28/06/2013 20:11

chasing I just popped a couple of bits of cooked pasta onto P's tray. She nibbled on a piece of it.

And I offer tap water now.

Yep BP. The thread will be a quieter place with you at work. Pesky sick people

Passmethecrisps · 28/06/2013 20:13

Oh and chasing have you asked the council if they have a list of landlords who accept HB?

Evilwater · 28/06/2013 20:19

Hello all, sorry I've not kept up, or posted. Lets just say things with P have gotten worse.

On the other hand, N is crawling like a trouper, and trying to pull him self up on everything!!!! Eeekkk. I've installed one gate at the kitchen as he loves the washing machine.

Off to read the thread.
Evil

BigPigLittlePig · 28/06/2013 20:41

Chasing the only tiny ishoo F had with the spiral shaped pasta, is that it disintegrates very easily into multiple skinny spiral shapes. I think penne is probably a good shape. She lurved it, so O should be fine.

Luis Sad

daisychain76 · 28/06/2013 20:41

Hi all, just back from a week in Spain. Hats off to anyone who manages a long haul flight with a LO. Our return flight was nearly 3 hours and what with the ?happy screaming?, the ?throw my toys for strange man (who put on headphones 5 mins in) to collect for me? and the ?feed for 30 seconds, gaze round for a minute, then cry cos mummy?s trying to put her boob away? games, it wad long enough!

In no particular order pennie well done on the job, evil sorry to hear things are worsr, Gt might having Pils around get dh to cut down drinking? Big hope work is ok. l always found l didn?t miss dcs too much if l was busy. It was just at lunchtimes and quiet times l got a bit sad. l?m sure in your line of work you are kept busy anyway.

Oh and chasing (l think) l started using tap water from 6 months. Pasta wise l find spaghetti great as H grabs big clumps and stuffs it in his mouth.

Going to catch up on the rest now...
