Since it's sweary Wednesday and you fuckers haven't noticed, shall I begin? Fucking wanktard pissflapping arse weasling teeth/reflux/hotness/coldness or whatever the fuckity fuck you are, kindly fuck off to cuntsville and let my baby sleep at night.

Thank goodness it's sunny today.

Yay for sleeping babies pidj and chasing

I use oat milk for F in cooking because Nutramigen is too vile smelling to contemplate. If I was worried about her weight gain, I would use the formula, but since she is intent on crossing centile lines in an upward fashion, I is not bovvered. She has porridge made with water, as do I.

GT this is a useful tool we use to screen for alcohol problems - suspect dh would score on a couple of the points. He needs to shape up whether he thinks he has a problem or not.

Thechick · 19/06/2013 13:02

Thanks all for the replies re milk. I'll try it for breakfast tomo. Pass my LO had the same symptoms and it turned out to be an ear infection. It's worth talking to nhs direct and asking their advice. My magic boobs didn't work so I knew there was def something up.

FatimaLovesBread · 19/06/2013 13:25

Today Ms favourite things to do is play with the knob on the radiator (I've lost count of the times I've said no and moved her away) and just sit in the middle of the room bouncing on her bum. Strange child

BigPigLittlePig · 19/06/2013 13:26

Bread sticks = mahoosive hit.

Dairy free-ers, which rice cakes do you get? Could only find salted ones (guessing not appropriate for a baby) or with soy added.

YellowWellies · 19/06/2013 13:42

BPLP we get organix tomato rice cakes from the baby aisle they're dairy and soy free.

Horsey they can have CMPI without belly spasms so without the screaming and given he throws up he'd have less burns to his throat than a silent refluxer - it can just show itself as eczema, asthma and vomming. There's a big NHS study ongoing to see if avoidance or early exposure is the best way to overcome intolerances - sadly it doesn't report until next year. If he's happy and not upset by the eczema or vomming that's cool but if you cut it - he might fare better from a future asthma perspective?

Hmm Actually he's on dairy from his FF now isn't he?! D'oh... sorry! So maybe don't avoid dairy in solids but keep a food diary to spot reactions. Worst reaction likely to be to uncooked cows milk - he might be fine with cheese.

YellowWellies · 19/06/2013 13:55

Just had a fab morning at the beach with my sister and the kids. Silver sands beach at Aberdour was GLORIOUS today. My hardy wee man paddled happily in the north sea!

TheDetective · 19/06/2013 13:57

Organixs rice cakes we got BP. I rang Organix. They are dairy free but made in same place as dairy stuff. O had the banana ones and raspberry and apple ones yesterday and seemed to enjoy although struggles like with all finger food unless you hold it in his mouth for him Hmm.

ChasingDaisy · 19/06/2013 14:49

Oscar loves organix rice cakes. Got some breadsticks and pitta today to try him on wheat again.

He is finally asleep. I can feel a corner of a tooth poking through and he has only had one hard poo in 2 days so am suspecting one of those to be the suspect. Calpol seems to have helped although it could be a coincidence. Feeling quite stressed today. Would love to be out in the sun but am stuck in s darkened bedroom bed-pinned by a baby.

Pikz · 19/06/2013 15:19

Organix and asda own brand apple baby rice cakes are the fave here.

I have a confession, I miss my baby who only wanted to nap in my arms. Now he only wants his cot or buggy and I miss him.

BigPigLittlePig · 19/06/2013 15:31

Tis too hot for my baby to nap. Not too hot for me to sit in the garden. But non-napping hysteria and garden sitting are not compatible.

Clarella · 19/06/2013 15:36

gah you're nearly half way through Fred!

so, we've sleep regressed even further if that was possible and food regressed too. Angry

been at hospital all fucking hot day getting lo's final kidney thing done. he's currently a little bit radioactive Hmm

I'm feeling a bit better though since been making a big effort to make sure I'm on top of thyroid meds. still a bit foggy though and no effing sleep doesn't help.

feel back to square one with food - do teeth cause upset? he bites cucumber and little organix biscuits but growling at everything else!

Clarella · 19/06/2013 15:37

do peeps just give calpol at night for teething? feels like every effing night right now ....

Clarella · 19/06/2013 15:43

skim catch up yeay for sleeping babes esp chasing!

hand holding refluxy babes' mums

horseylady · 19/06/2013 15:45

yw he doesn't react to yogurt? I don't know what to think.

ATM I've changed nothing. He doesn't really have a cold so he doesn't have reflux, therefore his ezxema is better.

Pikz · 19/06/2013 16:11

Horsey I wonder if you and I are struggling with same thing apart from eczema which we don't have but broncholitis equals puke with a cold even though lungs now clear. Every time L gets a cold we are in vomit central. Very frustrating.

horseylady · 19/06/2013 16:19

pikz possibly. He's just always wheezing.

Quick run in

Can I get the 'brave as fuck' award for today please? Gave p some peanut butter on a rice cake this morning. She fucking loved it - licked all the peanut butter off before stuffing the whole cake in her mouth. All while I sat with shoes on, piriton measured and the car keys to hand.

Pikz · 19/06/2013 16:38

Pass that is awesome well done you. Much braver mum than me. I just can't let him anywhere near them too scared.

Well done mini pennie too!

Pikz · 19/06/2013 16:39

LO just got stuck under coffee table ffs

Pikz · 19/06/2013 16:49

What the fuck is wrong with me. Been worried for weeks that he is eating 3 meals and not dropping any milk. Today he's down to 3 bottles ( 700ml) and I'm stressing.

fruitpastilles · 19/06/2013 16:57

horsey S is always wheezing too, it's got worse the past 2 weeks, she's always sick as well, although not as much as E, doc said she has viral bronchitis. He gave her amoxicillin and a 3 day course of steroids and I'm to take her back Monday. Might be worth taking E about his wheezing just in case.

ChasingDaisy · 19/06/2013 17:18

Clarella O often has calpol at night at the moment. A corner of a tooth has just popped through and he seems in pain with it.

horseylady · 19/06/2013 17:29

fruit we went Monday. Chest clear. All in upper respiratory so they can't /won't do anything.

They mentioned cystic fibrosis at one point and I mildly panicked by heal prick result fine?

Who knows. He's such a happy little chap I don't really want to change anything unless I really have to.

fruitpastilles · 19/06/2013 17:48

horsey he is so like S in that they are both sick all the time and both wheezy, she also has a clear chest so I don't know where the bronchitis diagnosis came from? Glad the test came back clear for cystic fibrosis. Hopefully you can get some answers soon.
