We have discovered Organic stuff over here. Both DDs love it. Unfortunately won't be able to bring much back with us as have full car.

Driving back down to Kent tomorrow then home on Friday. I'll miss England. I'll especially miss the sea.

PetiteRaleuse · 19/06/2013 18:58

*organix

Not organic

ChasingDaisy · 19/06/2013 19:02

Well done bravemummypass! There will be no peanut butter nomming here, due to XP's allergy.

Tomorrow we are moving up to 3 meals a day and re-introducing wheat. Debating whether to start with pitta or bread sticks...Confused

Feeling a bit low today, when I have the time to feel anything. I know I am hardly over the hill at 28 but I worry that my chance of a traditional family unit has passed me by. I have been engaged twice Blush I doubt I'll find anybody else who wants to marry me and take on O as well. But if it does end up just me and O then he is pretty awesome Smile

PurplePidjin · 19/06/2013 19:17

Chasing no one's ever even asked me SadBlush

BigPigLittlePig · 19/06/2013 19:23

Chasing my dh felt the same way as you, when his previous relationship broke down. Single dad, living with his parents, up to his eyeballs in debt. And the lucky devil found me Grin. His XP is also now married - so there really is someone out there for everyone. And go with breadsticks (big hit with F so....)

Pidj thanks for the couscous suggestion - was a hit with Little Pig tonight, along with another bread stick. Am hopeful that extra carbs might fill her up a bit although resigned to the fact that this is highly unlikely

She has had two 5oz bottles of ff today, which is the most she's managed so far. Usually she has 4 and 2. It's so hard not to be Envy at the mums at baby group with 8 week old babies who are already sleeping 8 hours at night.

Pass nice one - I love peanut butter, might try that one in a picnic chez the hospital though!

Horsey sorry you still aren't getting any concrete answers about E. I hope he does "just grow out of it" - can't be pleasant for all involved Sad

YellowWellies · 19/06/2013 19:31

Chasing I'd been proposed to twice and left them both (one an absolute tosser, the other a bit dull) and then I met DH at 30 and I've been Grin ever since. Don't worry about the future it will unfold at it's own pace - I have a feeling it contains very good things for you and O.

Lily311 · 19/06/2013 19:35

chasing I truly hope there is someone out there for you as much as for me. I'm 33, turning 34 later this year. My best friend actually told me today that when we met 9 years ago I was already with Leo so she never knew the single me and it was always her who had crazy dates, crazy men. She is now settled with a nice guy and is looking forward to hear about my crazy dates. Well, she will need to wait for that but when I'm ready I certainly will look for someone.

I wrote a list what I need to still fix/do in my flat. Not surprisingly it's a long one and it involves buying a drill Blush. Early night tonight, O wasn't herself today, I suspect second tooth cut through.

Oh, I know. I need advice. It's very hot here, 30 degrees at night. Yest O was in a nappy and 1 tog sleeping bag. She was up between 2 and 5 on and off, sweating. Today she is in a short sleeve vest with a muslin on. Fan was on while she went to sleep but off now. Is it ok to have the fan on overnight? Would you have it on? We have air con but not in her room and the cool air doesn't reach her bedroom. I ordered a 0.5 tog muslin sleeping bag so planning to use that with a nappy only but how about very very hot night?

BigPigLittlePig · 19/06/2013 19:39

Lily growing up we lived in Cyprus, and I think mum and dad had fans in our rooms. I would have thought that as long as she's not directly in line from the fan, and with a muslin over her, she'll be ok.

It's hideously muggy here, needs a good thunderstorm ignores fact that thunder still makes my blood run cold at the age of 26

ChasingDaisy · 19/06/2013 20:06

Thunder storms frighten the living daylights out of me. Ever since I saw a house that had been struck by lighting when I was younger. I used to ask my dad every night if there was going to be thunder. Might ask him tonight actually Blush

YellowWellies · 19/06/2013 20:09

I love thunder its my favourite weather. Biggest downside about Scotland is the lack of thunderstorms.

BigPigLittlePig · 19/06/2013 20:09

Just nearly had a coronary. Was minding my own business tidying the kitchen, alone in the house or so I thought. Turned around to come face to face with someone elses cat prowling along my kitchen worktop.

Have just spent 10 minutes scrubbing said worktop Angry

BigPigLittlePig · 19/06/2013 20:11

I have a hideous memory of lying in bed, aged 3ish, listening to the thunder, and then, with a flash of lightening, a fucking bird was outlined on my windowsill. I have never moved so bloody quickly in my life. And to this day. that's all I can think of during a thunderstorm. The bird. The terror

ChasingDaisy · 19/06/2013 20:11

I think it will be a few years before I am ready to start 'dating' again. I want to build a life for me and O first so that I am never in this situation again. I don't want to rely on a man for security or happiness. I need to provide that for O and any future relationship would be a happy bonus.

ChasingDaisy · 19/06/2013 20:13

Cheeky rogue cat pig! Ooh, I can get a cat now! XP was a dog person.

YellowWellies · 19/06/2013 20:22

Come to Scotland chasing - the haggis quiche has a thriving English expat community. Grin

Jonas is 8 months this week - is that too wee for separation anxiety to hit? He's been clinging to me like a koala all day - or teeth? Also the blender which never normally vexes him had him in hysterics today Sad poor chap - its been a looooooong day trying to do everything including making cottage pie, one handed Envy . I got an hour's peace to do a few bits by plonking him in front of the washing machine. He LOVED it! Cbeebies is going to blow the poor deprived child's mind when I let him watch it Grin

Bryzoan · 19/06/2013 20:33

Horsey - was he having problems before you introduced wheat? My dh is a coeliac and was very vommy and wheezy and had eczema before being diagnosed as a toddler. Just another thought to throw in. Sorry you are having such a tough time.

Chasing - I am sorry though not surprised you are feeling sad sometimes still. I think you are coping amazingly. It is so lovely hearing you talk about plans for your future. For what it is worth I had pretty much given up hope of finding the right man and having a family when I met dh. I was 31. Sounds so young in hindsight. Not a day goes by without me looking at my family and feeling like the luckiest girl alive even when they are all being sleep dodging pickles.

Pidj - well I would drop a couple of vs until he gets his arse in gear! Wink

ChasingDaisy · 19/06/2013 20:40

I think living with my parents is helping me make the transition. I have company, am always busy, am not so stressed with housework etc so it is helping to ease the emotional stuff. When I move out I will have to cope with being alone again but the raw pain should have eased.

Passmethecrisps · 19/06/2013 21:01

Hia duders.

YW p is definitely showing signs of separation anxiety and she is just over 7 months. Not all the time but just randomly if I leave her eye line she bawls and cried until I come back when she tearfully giggles. Makes for long days.

Haggis quiche is where it's at chasing!

Naughty stranger cat bp. Did pussy pig not chase him away?

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 19/06/2013 21:08

Glad chasing sounding positive.

No thunder here yet, but feels like we need a good air clearing storm. That would suit my mood too.

I am struggling. With all of it. And have no real reason to be feeing quite so sorry for myself. I think I need a jolly good slap.

Passmethecrisps · 19/06/2013 21:14

Dairy and egg free peeps - you might have seen this but I saw it and thought it was awesome

dairy and egg free thread

PurplePidjin · 19/06/2013 21:18

MadamG, i think you need more support and possibly some antidepressants

BigPigLittlePig · 19/06/2013 21:23

Pass pussypig is far too busy lying in the grass becoming riddled with ticks or shagging his girlfriend, to chase off marauding cats.

Madam Thanks if you fancy a brew and a rant, you know where I am xx

Passmethecrisps · 19/06/2013 21:26

No slap madam no need for that. I agree with pp. The weight of responsibility you are shouldering sounds enormous.

ChasingDaisy · 19/06/2013 21:29

Madam what pp said. I am a bit worried about you. I know it must seem like an impossible task but you really need some time out.
