Happy bday kry.
Woop wool luis. Hope that means you slept !

Work was good. Very tiered tho.

Worried about lo though

He has 18oz today in three bottles. This has been the case for the last three days. 3days ago he had a temp and put lack of milk down to this. But his temp is fine today.

He usually has breakfast lunch and maybe a snack. Today I've just done breakfast hoping he will take in more milk.

Don't know if I should be worried or not. Give milk, give more food.

BigPigLittlePig · 14/06/2013 18:30

GT glad work went ok. I would see how LO is overnight re: feeding and temp, and if he's still off colour tomorrow, get him checked over. Better to be safe than sorry.

Pidj very encouraging about the jobs.

Better day with F today, on a higher dose of ranitidine. I must get her weighed. For tea, she had 1 tbsp potato, courgette & watercress, 1 tbsp fruit puree and 2 tbsps home-made apricot yoghurt! Currently having a huge bf too. I hope this means she sleeps tonight.

GTbaby · 14/06/2013 18:49

His temp and sleeping have been fine today. And his sleep has been fine, even on the night he had a temp. This is what confuses me.

He doesn't feed at night any more.
Shall I give him a dream feed to up his milk intake?

PurplePidjin · 14/06/2013 18:55

Hungry little caterpidjlar just ate 2tbsp pureed spinach and broccoli with 1oz cheese and 1 tbsp rice, one fruit/custard pot thing and approximately 1 strawberry with about a tsp yoghurt!!! Serves him right for sleeping through lunch :o

Thought I'd better get in early as we're off to Barry's for the day to celebrate my exams (and hopefully my degree) being over. Can't wait to go on the dodgems.

Both girls in bed, dh at the gym. I am sat listening to little pig farting over the baby monitor.

What have my Friday nights become!?

itsnotyouitsMeals · 14/06/2013 20:09

Sorry about my drivel posts earlier. Sleeping baby and DD1 at nursery plus tired me = incoherent ramblings it seems.

Anyway Mr Meals just emailed me this article about sleep training and why babies wake. Obviously if a baby has food issues etc they will wake too much but thought it might be interesting.

And yes luis we are that couple who communicate via text/social media/tinterweb. We do talk too, honest. He is wonderful btw. I never mention him but I should cos I luffs him and he's ace.

Elizadoesdolittle · 14/06/2013 20:17

kyz My DH is the same. He doesn't get cards (get as in understand them, not buy) whereas I love cards. Men eh! Hope he got you a fab present to make up for it.

clarella I echo others comments about the own room debate. It was a but of a wrench for me to put E into her own room for various reasons but once I bit the bullet and didn't everyone slept so much better and I wished I'd done it earlier. Good luck.

bplp I've just eaten some choccie buscuits and said to DH this is as good as my Friday nights get now! It's a different life now, but not altogeather a worse one.

PurplePidjin · 14/06/2013 20:20

And now nearly an hour of milk. Am i allowed to get my hopes up then scream and cry when he wakes up in two hours?

Elizadoesdolittle · 14/06/2013 20:28

Oh and I meant to say to chick I agree with donna. You can't live your life assuming LO has chickenpox as you just never know when/if he will get it so I wouldn't go cancelling plans. However it would perhaps be wise to keep him away from your Dad just in case.

BigPigLittlePig · 14/06/2013 20:33

Pidj yes, in a word. Contrary little creatures.

Eliza I think luckily the sleep deprivation has sucked the energy out of me by this time of night, so the thought of doing anything remotely approaching socialising, is quite hideous. Hobnobs have been opened as a show of solidarity Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 14/06/2013 20:37

Also meant to say, today was the first day I did not bf F during working hours. She had a 5oz bottle at 11am, and 2.5oz at 3.45. BF at 8am and 6.30pm. It doesn't seem like very much Confused. She'll also have a bf at 10, and at least one overnight. Should I be giving her vitamin drops? Especially given that she was early, and on a milk free diet....gah so confusing.

ChasingDaisy · 14/06/2013 20:39

pidj let me know if he wakes up and I'll scream and cry with you.

Clarella · 14/06/2013 20:45

chasing - I started out in council housing and it was the start of many really positive things. I had split up with partner who owned the house and had student debts, just started teaching etc. it was hard and I felt low but I made it my little nest and saw it as a stepping stone.

things might have changed since I did it but emphasise how you need to feel safe etc. really get across to them that that is important.

are there any housing associations you could apply to?

Clarella · 14/06/2013 20:45

massive hugs too

Thechick · 14/06/2013 20:47

Thanks Eliza, it's a hard one, and my family are quite touchy freely. Wish I had a crystal ball.

YellowWellies · 14/06/2013 20:47

Chick bear in mind if it is the pox then most airlines will refuse travel as it can spread like wildfire in a plane cabin with recycled air - so you could risk being stranded at your destination at considerable personal expense until you're considered safe to fly. Also given it can cause miscarriages and v hideous birth defects in pregnant ladies and very serious illnesses and even death to those with compromised immune systems (those undergoing chemo, prem babies etc) inflicting it on a planeful of strangers would be mucho bad karma too IMHO. My cousin Steve is a trolley dolly and he rages about pox spreaders Shock Confused

ChasingDaisy · 14/06/2013 20:56

Thanks Clarella, I have nothing against council housing and I would love to build a nest for my and Oscar. I am just finding the process hard and I don't know if I will qualify for housing as I am being comfortably housed at my dads. Anyway, I filled in an online claim today, I just need to send off my supporting documents.

Elizadoesdolittle · 14/06/2013 21:12

Oh yes chick if he actually DOES have chickenpox then as yw says you will unfortunatly not be able to fly Sad I am however viewing it as he doesn't have pox as until the spots come out (or if he has a high tempreture and is grizzly before spots come) then you really have no way of knowing if he will get it or not and I believe you cannot live your life on ifs and butts. But if you know he has it, that's a different case and he should be kept in isloation until the spots are crusted over. Are you going somewhere where you will be stranded if the spots come out in between flights?

PurplePidjin · 14/06/2013 21:27

He went down at 9. I am so tired, I'm actually struggling to believe dp could be tireder. This is rare due to the amount of healing his head is doing.

PurplePidjin · 14/06/2013 21:27

And how the fuck is abba a word when cunt isn't?!?!?!

GTbaby · 14/06/2013 21:30

Pp that was a complete fluke! Lol. I didn't think it would accept lol

Passmethecrisps · 14/06/2013 21:30

We have a childminder! Awoot!

Weirdly, one of her clients was stuck on holiday as one child developed chicken pox and couldn't fly home. The insurance company wouldn't let both parents and the sibling stay so they had to choose which parent stayed. The children had never been apart! Worth checking insurance policy for how they would respond
