Argh I have no patience left for this at all. Ds has been moaning for the past bloody hour. If I pat his bum or whatever he's fine but as soon as I move away he starts rolling and sticking his bum in the air and this really annoying droany whinge. Really loud. It's going to wake dd up but I'm just leaving him because I'm so fed up of it and now he's starting to cry Angry there's no reason for it

WillYouDoTheFandango · 16/06/2013 00:58

I'm with you Spotty I've had the droney whinge since 11:45 but he's now back in with me as he smacked his head off the cot bars in frustration and screamed the house down Hmm

IsThatTrue · 16/06/2013 02:40

isthat wanders in and whispers 7.30-2.30!! Shock Grin I am amazed! First time he's gone down without his 45 min wake up and first 7 hr stint of his life.

ddas I feel very very lucky with my work as I with from home so it fits around the dcs, I have no child are issues and I pick and choose my hours. I sometimes feel guilty DS isn't getting my full attention like some other babies, but tbh keeping a roof over all of our heads is more important. I think whatever decisions you have to make about work, very few people will be 100% happy with them. But that's tough shit life!

SpottyTeacakes · 16/06/2013 06:38

Down at 7 dreamfeed at 9:45 awake 11:30-1 up every 2 hours. Sad

MiamiMe · 16/06/2013 08:29

Willyou so with you on the BLW. Very terrifying. Much easier, less bloody hassle and baby prefers sticking to BM.

Happy birthday for yesterday spotty. Sounds like you were treated like a queen. And that's how it should be. Feel for you though having the constant wake up calls. DD slept at 9pm and was up at 2am, 5am and then 7am. Not too bad but bloody annoying given that she used to sleep 9pm to 430. So not sure what's changed? Sigh.

MiamiMe · 16/06/2013 08:31

isthat fingers crossed it lasts for you.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 16/06/2013 08:40

They're developing so fast aren't they Miami? It's no surprise that things change really, we used to get 9-7, how I miss those halcyon days Grin

Yay for DS3 IsThat, that's some good sleeping. J was up at 8, 8:30, 9, 10:30 and then 12:00-1:15. After ibuprofen he slept until 7:15 so at least I got one good stretch. It was definitely teeth, when will the buggers come through?

DP went out last night, I'm waiting for him to emerge from his pit so I can laugh at him give him his Father's Day present. Not sure when he got in but it was after J went to bed and before I woke for a wee at 3:30. Is anyone else's bladder a bit rubbish now? I never used to have to have a wee half way through the night.

IsThatTrue · 16/06/2013 08:49

willyou it's probably not your bladder being rubbish, it is probably a combination of you being more aware because you are not in the same deep sleep and (if you are bfing) increased fluid intake.

MiamiMe · 16/06/2013 08:51

My bladder pretty bad now. Was up twice to use the loo. But not sure if it is because I'm drinking more water as BFing?

MiamiMe · 16/06/2013 08:52

Oh how I miss those nights of deep sleep...

SpottyTeacakes · 16/06/2013 08:54

I have a bladder of steel and can suddenly remember at dinner time that I haven't had a wee all day Shock

Off bowling now for dd's birthday tomorrow I haven't been since I was about 15!

MaMaPo · 16/06/2013 09:58

Morning all!

ddas, good on you for working on continuing bfing. I'm glad you're doing what makes you happy.

Lovely birthday lunch out yesterday - c played with us between courses, played in her pram during starter and dessert and slept during main! Ideal baby. Also - love 3 course lunches!

Good night last night - C settled to sleep in ten minutes with no crying, df at 10.15, feed at 4.15 and up at 6.45. She just settled herself for her nap in less than 5 minutes (!) and has been asleep almost two hours. Our sleep training has been paying off.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 16/06/2013 10:58

Well I'm off out for the day. DP is so hungover he couldn't open his card apparently, he's gone back to bed. I've binned his card and present passive aggressive, me? text his brother to say no he won't be taking Jamie swimming as planned and I'm going to go and have yet another lovely day alone with my boy. Pretty fucking pissed off actually, but go hum never mind.

MaMaPo · 16/06/2013 11:24

Will you, that sounds completely shit. I'm sorry you're not having the day you hoped for. Hope it improves.

WLmum · 16/06/2013 12:12

Good work mama. We had a backwards step night - mainly awake chatting and blowing raspberries before having a whinge when she got bored - 2 sessions! Tonight I'm turning the monitor down and leaving her to it.

isthat - rubbish. Chalk it up to one he owes you.

IsThatTrue · 16/06/2013 16:09

Sorry I missed your birthday mama glad you had a lovely lunch.

willyou that sounds rubbish. DP definitely owes you!

Well I got DH nothing as Mother's Day was ignored. We have been to Costco and ikea today and I made him spend £350 so a great Father's Day all round! Lol

SpottyTeacakes · 16/06/2013 16:13

WillYou I hope you've treated yourself to something lovely.

We're back from howling and lunch. Completely exhausted I would give anything to go to bed right now!

I love a good ikea trip IsThat what did you get?

ddas · 16/06/2013 16:22

willyou Dp def owes you! you should have the night off instead :)

Unpacking all the boxes this afternoon in dd's room to clear it out ready for her tonight! Dh back from the states so operation move dd out of our room in progress! Really going to miss her just next to me but my sanity needs the sleep now. Fingers crossed this improves things in the longer term. Short term think next couple of nights are going to be tough as she adjusts.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 16/06/2013 16:28

I have a ticket to the races for next week Smile not only are the races on but then it's cheesy 80s legends after it. Rick astley, abc, Marc almond and Paul young. He got up just before 2 and it turns out he already has the box set I bought him Sad

Ooh Isthat what did you get, hope you're not buried under an avalanche of flat pack!

Good luck Ddas, hope you are pleasantly surprised!

IsThatTrue · 16/06/2013 16:36

Nope just a memory foam mattress topper from ikea, nothing exciting. Although hopefully it will save my back!

halestone · 16/06/2013 18:03

Stacks · 16/06/2013 20:14

Hi all. I've not had much to say recently so I've not posted. We're just continuing with bad sleep - a bad night is waking every 30m, a good night contains one 3hr stretch. Co sleeping is preserving my sanity, just.

Today is my birthday, though we just had a day at home doing housework. DH got me some clothes (that we went and bought together yesterday) and we went shopping to buy me a cake. Then just had tasty lamb roast for dinner.

Unfortunately I spoiled my day somewhat by having an accident in the car :( I pulled into the parking space outside the house too sharply and scraped the neighbours car. We've only had our car since Nov and its my first accident since passing my test a couple of years ago. So angry with myself. The neighbour wasn't home when I knocked, so I've not really told anyone. I'm kind of hoping she doesn't notice the damage - it's quite minor damage to the paintwork. How much does that kind of thing cost to repair??

Happy birthday to everyone that's had birthdays recently.

SpottyTeacakes · 16/06/2013 20:25

Oh no stacks Sad don't worry we've all done it, hopefully shouldn't be too expensive you can get mobile people who will come and fix it much cheaper than a garage.

Happy birthday Thanks

WLmum · 16/06/2013 20:47

ddas I missed dd when we moved her out, but tbh I'm still seeing a lot of her at night! I'm absolutely shattered so wondering about stepping up the sleep training a notch but I'm not sure how - it seems like the only option may be to go hardcore and say no feeds no pick ups but it just seems so hard. I'm just feeding her again now having failed to settle her on her first wake up - unusual for her to be up so soon.
