YW you have just moved. Decorating his room will be quite low on the list of priorities.

BP the NHS is very pro-bf except when it is staff. You are entitled to paid breaks and a fridge for personal use and also a private area to express. I had to fight so hard with my current boss for this last time and found it extremely difficult as no allowance is made for workload. Thankfully I had gallons stored. I used to pop home at lunchtime in the end as it was easier. Bloody tiring though.

ValiumQueen · 20/05/2013 11:09

Also as a bf mummy with NHS you do not have to attend full day training sessions. I used that to my advantage on a couple of occasions.

BigPigLittlePig · 20/05/2013 11:36

VQ tbh, I can imagine I will end up taking a cool bag into work, and expressing in the toilet, if it comes to it. I don't have the energy to put up a fight. I don't get a dedicated break - very much a "grab it if you can" scenario.

I need to weigh LO before and after a feed too, to try to gauge how much she's having.

Plus I realised with the older frozen stash, there will be an element of dairy russian roulette...

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 20/05/2013 12:49

Good Morning

Another shit night of sleep in the buzzy household. I'm not even telling you how many times we were up as its ridiculous and I'm getting to the point where I think people can't possible believe it's so bad.

I'm missing my phone to track feeds etc a la pass as I dropped it down the bloody loo last week! However my swanky new phone is our for delivery just now and is expected between 1-5pm so I can MN at night again!

vq thank you for worrying about my MH. I'm fine honestly, just knackered! However my wonderful DH is sending me on a spa break this coming Saturday so I'm off to a wonderful spa hotel with two of my best friends for dinner, bed, breakfast and an hours worth of spa treatments and the rest of the time sent lazing by the pool, sauna, steamroom or in bed SLEEPING!! And what makes it even better is that DH is working in Sat so I'd have had a lot of running about in the morning to get kids to my mums to be watched til he comes home but my mum and dad have said they'll take both kids overnight on the fri so I can relax sat morning and have had a sleep so can enjoy the spa etc!!! How lovely are my DH, my mummy and my daddy!!!?? TWO WHOLE FUCKING NIGHTS SLEEP!!!FUCK THE SPA!!

QQ: Is it child abuse to have Y listen to vintage Justin Timberlake?

LuisGarcia · 20/05/2013 13:21

fish and chips in the wight mouse inn for lunch.

PetiteRaleuse · 20/05/2013 13:22

brockle verging on abuse but there is a lot worse :o could be vntage Spice Girls.

Or Bros.

izzy I'd be Envy but you absolutely deserve it, so have a wonderful weekend. Am a little bit Envy though.

PetiteRaleuse · 20/05/2013 13:23

Envy luis

I'm making the most of DH keeping the children out of my way to..... Clean the oven. I know, I know, I'm just too glamourous for this group.

BigPigLittlePig · 20/05/2013 13:27

There's nothing wrong with eating golden syrup out of a tin for a sweet fix, is there?! Every other possible delicacy has fecking dairy in. Can't even make cakey stuff as it's 2 days til I can go to the supermarket.

Izzy you mahoosively deserve that, it sound beyond amazing. Am totally Envy although not Envy at the lengths to which you have gone in order to acheive said spa/sleep heaven.

ChasingDaisy · 20/05/2013 13:28

Envy Luis. One of my favourite places.

Izzy that sounds amazing! You so deserve that!

Things that make O laugh #28: Mummy doing a one-person mexican wave.

Mummy's arms are tired.

Elizadoesdolittle · 20/05/2013 13:28

pr how dare you insult bros! They were my teenage crush still fancy the pants off Luke Goss I was a brosette big time and did the whole hanging around outside various houses/hotels/recording studios to see them. I once queued for 8 hrs to get to the front of one of their secret gigs and then had to be pulled out by security as I fainted half way through. Oh those were the days....Blush

BigPigLittlePig · 20/05/2013 13:28

The number of Envy faces on this page makes it look like a snot sucker has exploded on my computer screen.

PurplePidjin · 20/05/2013 13:37

Love the Wight Mouse, fab pub we'll join you once our finances pick up a bit :)

Little dude ate a cube of parsnip, a cube of butternut, 1/2oz cheese and 2tbsp pasta for lunch, had a munch on a crust of bread then 1/3 of an Ella's Kitchen pouch Shock I'm going to have to get him weighed tomorrow, he's suddenly outgrown his 3-6 vests and babygrows. He didn't grow in to them till nearly 5 months! Wonder if he's gone up a centile? Was following the 0.4th beautifully...

ValiumQueen · 20/05/2013 13:41

BP 'dairy Russian Roulette' sorry, but that made me laugh Grin my advice as having extended breast fed two babies after returning to work at 5 months is don't! Mix feeding is the way to go. I struggled as to express enough for exclusivity is very difficult indeed. Even with my freezer full it was hard. I think with the CMPI it makes it even more appropriate to mix feed, and soon, as babies can refuse the chip fat past 7 months. Your job is extremely demanding and even with the right facilities I struggled. Also it is lovely to reacquaint with baby by feeding as soon as you get home. And you will have nice full boobies. Obviously if you leak or engorge then pump, but give yourself a break on this. Days off your supply will be fine to meet demand.

ValiumQueen · 20/05/2013 13:43

Izzy good to hear x enjoy x

ChasingDaisy · 20/05/2013 13:49

Pig Grin to snot explosion and golden syrup sounds fab.

ValiumQueen · 20/05/2013 13:50

J threw up just as I was driving to the Dr. Dr was kind. Concerned about wheeze and glad I brought him in. Considered steroids but J is holding his own at the moment. Chest and ears clear thankfully. If he stops drinking or weeing he would need to go to hospital. Taking 1/3 of what he usually does so ok at present. Poor wee fella. Dr said I was doing a fine job looking after him Smile

ValiumQueen · 20/05/2013 13:52

Golden syrup is disgusting. Now condensed milk...... Not good for CMPI though Grin

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 20/05/2013 13:56

You are doing a wonderful job vq. Never doubt that. Glad his chest etc are clear and hope he avoids hospital.

BigPigLittlePig · 20/05/2013 14:00

F will not even entertain the idea of food today. Reflux and constipation are making her feel thoroughly crap, I'm sure. She keeps making the most god awful noise, as though she is choking, but I have come to realise this is her "straining-to-shit" noise.

VQ glad the doctors were happy with the little man. Golden syrup was selected for its sweet non-dairyness. May have to go back for more.

BigPigLittlePig · 20/05/2013 14:07

Chasing how are things today?

ChasingDaisy · 20/05/2013 14:14

Understatement of the year from your gp VQ

pig O is also bunged up so having a day off solids. He has perfecting his straining to shit noise too, accompanied by red face and bulging eyes. Not his best look it has to be said.

Things aren't great, thank you for asking though Smile. Weekdays are better as it is just me and O, but I have the beginnings of a cold and I'm beyond tired now.

Pikz · 20/05/2013 14:43

Fucking ikea fucking person who drove into me. It is cursed like catbag said.

Fucking hell.

YellowWellies · 20/05/2013 14:49

BPLP get a stash of wine gums and jelly babies for when you need a sugar hit. I love golden syrup though - good choice! Smile

PurplePidjin · 20/05/2013 14:50

You all ok, Pikz? Hope it's "just" the car, no people hurt Thanks

BP, can't you make flapjacks with vitalite? Or marshmallow krispie cakes? I'm not sure on marshmallows but you can make flapjack with krispies or cornflakes, might keep bigger dc amused too...
