I'm another who feels the cold pass - one day when it was sunny, perhaps 22ish, I had F in just a summer dress and cardigan and we went to baby group. She looked half naked, all the other babies still had oodles of clothes on. I've tended now to go for leggings, vest and dress, with the option of socks/cardigan/blanket if it gets colder.

Chasing glad you have had a nice morning.

I have visions of det with a headset on, ripping ten shades of shit into Aptamil, whilst driving from pharmacy to pharmacy in the hope of tracking down the elusive formula. I hope she has found some or dp has stopped being so daft

I've just made dairy free carrot cake, and dairy free banana muffins. Usually I don't think of cakes as being bad for you. But when you have to pour 150mls of vegetable oil into the mix, it becomes apparent that they are in fact, not healthy.

Headache here. Haven't managed to do anything yet. O is full of snot, feel so sorry for her.

She is in vests and shorts, it's 25 degrees here but I always put a blanket on her if it gets windy.

lily can you get an extension for your assignment? I would say you have good grounds. No wonder you have a headache. Hope LO is soon snot free. It makes such a difference to them.

BP I thought the same when I made flapjack the other week, except it was the block of butter that made me think and made them taste so good not to mention the sugar! Lordy!

Shite night here again but not unexpected considering the hospital trip. He woke 6 times after going to bed at 10pm. Up for the day at 8am. He fed all but one of the times. Not good.

In other sad sack news I've downloaded swift key app onto my phone and it's ace. You don't even need to hit the keys just swipe over them. Amazing and very funky. Way better than the installed keyboard.

Spoke to hv who thinks he having too much milk. Up solids, reduce milk. Should be moving towards 20oz now, but ill only reduce gradually. She did say offer solids before milk now. And work on reducing one feed then another. She suggested the 11.30 feed, which makes sense, but how I've been doing things, the 6.30 feed might be easier. Guess I can just swap them round?

Said keep food diary with the reflux, see if theres any pattern, blah blah blah so will do. If concerned go to gp or to her. He's gained more than expected and while still skinny is back on nearly the 50th centile. He's just so long!!

Vommed again twice today. One time in front if my hv friend who said it was more a large posset. Not to be too worried though. So ill keep a food diary, see if there's a pattern and see.

He's so much happier today though so thinking it is a cold/was a cold.

QQ: Can I offer rice cakes before 6 months? (25 weeks tomorrow)

Doc says either heartburn or gall bladder disease. Am on a trial course of - guess what!!!

.... omeperazole! Hmm I shit you not. I'm meant to try it for 2 weeks and hope its not my gall bladder and hope it doesn't perforate in the meantime Confused

Don't think heartburn can give you fever and chills and distend your tum like you're 6 months gone. When am I allowed to panic and go to out of hours Sad ?

YW if you have fever (temp above 38) and abdominal pain, you need bloods and proper assessment. Get thee to an A&E please missy.

Report
Passmethecrisps · 21/05/2013 16:59

Oh fuck YW! That sounds horrendous. Let's postpone tomorrow. It doesn't sound like visitors should be on your list of shiz to do.

Are you back on 'logging shiz' Iizzy now you have your fancy shmancy telephone?

P's milk intake is increasing rather than decreasing. That, however, coincides with starting omeperazole.

ValiumQueen · 21/05/2013 17:00

Agree. A&E now YW. And make sure they know you are a bf mum to a baby who cannot tolerate formula due to intolerances. Big hug x

ValiumQueen · 21/05/2013 17:01

That is good news pass. Very good news.

Report
YellowWellies · 21/05/2013 17:03

Glad to hear P's appetite is increasing Smile

Assume we are on for tomorrow unless I FB otherwise - doc is going to call me back - I'm getting hot and cold waves but don't have a fever when I touch my forehead so god knows?

Would like official confirmation I am a big panicking flappy chicken or otherwise.

Report
ValiumQueen · 21/05/2013 17:04

Have you actually taken your temperature or are you just going by how your forehead feels?

Report
YellowWellies · 21/05/2013 17:11

I don't have a thermometer unpacked so just going by how it feels....

Report
PetiteRaleuse · 21/05/2013 17:18

YW I would play it safe and go to hospital. I hope you are OK.

Hoping YW is off to be properly looked at! Also non owner of thermometer for last 28 years til, erm, 6 months ago!.

Thank you for asking, and thank you for your visions BP although not to worry - as THEY rung me, and told me where to go for the formula at 10am this morning they rang at 8am but I was sleeping!!.

Well, the night went okay, he slept til 1, fed 4oz with 2 drops of vanilla in. Then slept til 6, and fed 5oz with 2 drops of vanilla. DP got up with him after he stayed awake from 6 playing in the cot, and I slept. Til 9.30 Grin. I took Nytol last night, so I actually slept really deeply - of course waking for O, but when I knew DP was up, I was able to go straight back asleep! So I was rather refreshed!

DP did end up giving O's first feed today with LF in it, as he was going mental at the bottle this morning apparently. So I was a bit :( as I really wanted to avoid this. Never mind eh!

He has subsequently come out in a rash across his chest. Not really raised. Not sure what it is. I thought it could be a reaction to the LF as it obviously has CMP in it - and given he hasn't had any for over 2 weeks... Baaaah.

I would have come on sooner, but I've been at Brockles today, having a lovely time playing with all Y's fabulous toys! Toy envy from O going on I think! He's refused to play with his since we got home, preferring the laptop wire Hmm the remote Hmm and the pile of magazines and papers next to me Hmm. He's currently tearing in to Mother & Baby. Grin

So impressed with Y's sitting! I'm hoping O learned a trick or two! He can't wait to sit up properly!

All feels better with the world when they fucking sleep doesn't it?! Grin

Caught up with fred - forgot everything pretty much Confused. My brain is total and utter mush. I'll go back and read AGAIN!
