Oh chasing :( I'm sorry you poor love. What everyone else said.

Luis I've given up. I'm co sleeping and just letting him feed whenever he wants. I just couldn't cope with getting up all the time. I will NOT turn myself into a crazy person like I did last year.

VQ :o Also VQ I bought the MB Duet. Was down to the icandy peach or the duet and the duet won by a nose when I went into the shop. Thanks again for your advice.

MsJupiterJones · 20/05/2013 04:33

So delighted. L slept till 4am! He needed the dummy/Ewan I think 3x but it was so brief as not to count.

We are up and about as I am going away for a few days with L and my mum. Really going to miss DH.

VQ I hope J has had a good night and is on the mend. Or if it does turn out to be bronchiolitis that you get the help he needs. Also hope you get to look after yourself a bit.

Chasing I am so sorry you are feeling like this. It is such a difficult break to make but even more so when you are suffering from depression. Just know that you will be out the other side one day.

Hope others got some sleep (little pig don't listen to the wakeful quiche babies!) Thanks

TheDetective · 20/05/2013 04:37

Boys are swapping rooms.

Nuff said.

LuisGarcia · 20/05/2013 04:41

congratulations detective

ValiumQueen · 20/05/2013 04:50

Comrade quite jealous of your Duet. Never seen one in the flesh, but MB are such good quality I am sure you will be delighted. Have you got it yet?

Luis what kind of sleep is LO ( and you) getting? It seems like you really are up all night.

Detective I take it things are a bit better tonight?

Shit night with J. Currently on sofa again with him sleeping restlessly on the mat. I have had two stretches of two hours. The girls have been quiet thankfully.

DH was sprawled on sofa last night while I was washing and changing and creaming and medicating J prior to bed. He was eating crisps, drinking beer and laughing at the TV. He then said he would be staying up to watch match of the day. But that he was really really tired too. I replied in my next life I was coming back as a man and he took offence. He just does not get it, and I am sick of explaining. Grr.

ValiumQueen · 20/05/2013 04:51

Thank you JJ. Are you going anywhere nice?

TheDetective · 20/05/2013 04:51

Thank you! I can't sleep now!!! Me and DP are like 2 little kids at christmas!

ValiumQueen · 20/05/2013 04:51

Go the fuck to sleep detective! Grin

TheDetective · 20/05/2013 04:54

Yes. He woke at 11 after we came to bed at 9.50. But then settled with a quick cuddle til 345!!!

Feel human again.

He went back down fairly well too.

Be back in morning. Will try for more sleep now. Good luck one and all.

I'll come back as a man too. A deaf one. Hmm

ValiumQueen · 20/05/2013 04:58

I sucked the snot out of Js nose with my mouth just now. The snot boggler was clearly hurting him. I got the jackpot and he was grateful. Never ever ever done that before ever. Yuck! There is no end to a mother's love.

Luis were you born a woman? Not being cheeky, I just cannot fathom how you are so different to the rest of your gender.

ValiumQueen · 20/05/2013 05:00

Great news detective.

I actually think J is doing really well sleep wise considering how poorly he is.

I am going to try to get an hour before the girls wake.

ValiumQueen · 20/05/2013 05:29

DD1 has been awake since 5. Sounds like a herd of elephants are having a party in her room. I have been up to tell her to settle twice already.

Bryzoan · 20/05/2013 05:44

Vq - could you not have handed J over with a "thanks honey, it's really good of you to stay up a bit longer. I'll get a headstart on sleep now then as I'll be up most of the night"... ?

Huge congrats det! So pleased things are finally looking up.

Chasing - big hugs - sending you strength. Please call womens aid today. Just for a chat.

Izzy and Luis hope you are surviving

Kirrin GOOD LUCK today.

So. R was ok in her big bed again (after teeth related settling issues) and G had now moved to the cot. Well, he stayed there till 1 anyway when I lost patience with shaving and pick up put down and let him come in with me. He ISVs little snidely so I'll blame that and assume he'll be sleeping through in the cot once that goes. A girl can dream.

Happy Monday all.

Bryzoan · 20/05/2013 05:47

Ha! I lost patience with shushing! Just for clarity I was not up half the night attacking G with a bic. That would be wrong. IPhones are so great and so crap all at the same time.

Bryzoan · 20/05/2013 05:50

And he is a little snuffly, not snidely. It's the way it sneakily changes the word once you've typed it that gets me.

Dixiebell · 20/05/2013 06:40

Yes Bry,on the iPhone, make suggestions by all means, but don't just assume you're right! Arrogant technology :)

Dixiebell · 20/05/2013 06:42

Teddy was up at 9, 11.30, 2.30, and 6 for the day. Trying to stay awAke for feeds is actually painful.

TheDetective · 20/05/2013 06:48

I'm awake. Everyone is asleep. I can't actually believe it.

Might get up and go make some breakfast.

Detective is human again!

Think I'll go to baby group this morning. Then B&Q and Ikea this afternoon. Both rooms will need decorating if we need to do a permanent change around. May as well price everything up and cry.

Will give this a 3 night trial first. 3 nights in the other room, then back in to his own room and then we will go from there. Will still get his milk changed to nutramigen anyway. In case.

Dixiebell · 20/05/2013 07:02

Hope you've found the solution,det.

We were going to move Teddy into his own room yesterday, need to clear it out and move cot first. We went to the pub instead tho Grin.

TheDetective · 20/05/2013 07:27

Good plan!

Torn between wanting to see just what time O will wake up naturally. And wanting to go in and wake him just so he knows what it feels like! and give him a massive cuddle and kisses for being amazing! Grin.

I'm going to crash and burn at about 1pm!!

ChasingDaisy · 20/05/2013 08:02

Well done Detective sounds like you've cracked it.

Pikz · 20/05/2013 08:05

VQ just huge huge cuddles. You and J are being troopers. Hoping he's well very soon!

Kirrin goooooood luck!Brew

Det so glad you found an answer! Yay!

Chasing... You can get out you can...right when you are ready.

Luis big man sized hug

LO slept well and we are off to ikea...

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 20/05/2013 08:08

Good news detective

Kirrin lots of luck today.

Lily balloon is a beautiful idea. Hugs.

DS still has cold and conjunctivitis. Fucking rivers of snot. I've done what you've done, VQ. He would only sleep last night in the crook of my arm. Guess he was raised up and close to me. I dozed off at some stage, but woke each time he shuffled and snuffled about. Am now clinging to the idea that it is the cold which is causing the crap nights. I really, really, hope so.

ValiumQueen · 20/05/2013 08:32

Sorry to hear of bad nights.

Giving J to DH is good in theory but I do not trust him to get things right. He does not know what to do, and it would not be fair on J especially when he is ill. I have told DH once J is well he will be putting him to bed and I will show him how.

ValiumQueen · 20/05/2013 08:33

Detective if DS1 slept in the cot, where did O sleep? Is it just a noise issue or lighting or just coincidence?
