Another skim read. My rant /swearfest lady night Didnt post. Lol. Was feeling a bit shit/sorry for my self/angry.

Today am just angry at FHAngry. Thanks to dexter am having visions of hitting FH repeatedly with a hammer Blush

Anyway.

Anyone see this tommy tippee machine that makes formula by boiling water AND cooling within 2mina? For £66. Apparently on amazon and toys r us. Gona look into it tomorrow. Initial reaction was taking advantage of confused parents. But for £66 could be a hit. Spesh with night feeds? Hope i read the advert correctly.

TheDetective · 19/05/2013 00:31

Progress.

00.10. First wake up. Reason? Farting. 15 minutes of strenuous exercise later, and he is back down.

Spoke too soon.... Fuuuuuuuuuu...

Waaaaaait. No? Yes? Fuck please self settle.

Cars/bastarding HGVs going past are making him cry out in his sleep. Suspect they are reason for wake ups too.

Might have to swap boys rooms around and put O in the back. Might help??

LuisGarcia · 19/05/2013 00:42

No, put nails in the road.

TheDetective · 19/05/2013 00:52

Excellent idea .

He keeps crying out when something fucking noisy goes past.

Is it coincidence that he learned to sleep through when at my dads? When there was no traffic anywhere near. Hmm

LuisGarcia · 19/05/2013 00:57

It may well be. None of the causes you are reaching for apply to L, but your description of O's sleep matches hers perfectly. This is newborn stuff. Except heavier.

Luckily, I am a man, so nature has programmed me not to hear her.

Dixiebell · 19/05/2013 01:03

Anyone need some clocks setting? Small person to hire. 3 time check opportunities available, 10pm, 1am and 4am. All offers considered.

TheDetective · 19/05/2013 01:53

Fuuuuuuuck. He's woke 5 times since I came to bed. I have not slept.

I thought about walking out to the road and lying down on it. But instead I put the pillow over my head and cried til it woke DP.

Going to put O in DS1s room for rest of night. See if it helps. Sure ds1 will be delighted. Hmm

LuisGarcia · 19/05/2013 02:38

Are you asleep yet?

ValiumQueen · 19/05/2013 03:14

GT Perfect Prep by Tommee Tippee. Sounds awesome. If I were having more and planned to FF I would buy one! Genius!

J is coughing but still asleep. Figure sleep is best for him. Poor little scrap.

ValiumQueen · 19/05/2013 03:17

Luis the sound of lorries crashing and ambulances and mummy being arrested may be more noisy, but nice thought.

Detective big hug honey x I still think now is an ideal time to go swaddle-less. Two birds one stone kinda thing.

Evilwater · 19/05/2013 03:19

Another crap night, he's just gone down. So that's taken ages, I've had to give him paracetamol as I have no idea why he won't sleep. Seems to have worked.

We can't keep doing this, grr,,,,,
Evil

LuisGarcia · 19/05/2013 04:05

4 am. The time where those who are finally going to get some sleep are asleep, and those who are going to be up early are ... asleep.

Hi, 4 am.

MsJupiterJones · 19/05/2013 04:12

L woke up around 2am, grumbled a bit until 2.30, then proper woke up. Tried everything but still WIDE awake at 4am. DH took him and he was asleep in minutes. I know it's just coincidence as he must have been tired. But feel a bit useless. I always do the nights as it makes me feel less guilty about DH getting up early with him. So had a go at DH. And now feel doubly guilty. And exhausted. Sad

kirrinIsland · 19/05/2013 04:26

That Perfect Prep thingy does look good. But I don't think I'll be splashing out on one - I would if was definitely having another though.

detective evil Luis hope you have all managed some sleep.

Dixie my clocks seem to be tested at 22.30 at the moment. On the dot, not a second later. It's my cue to start grumping and doing my 'woe is me' routine!

She has just slept from 12-4 though, which is pretty good.

kirrinIsland · 19/05/2013 04:29

Sorry mrsJJ didn't refresh the page before posting. Hope you're asleep too. Don't lay there feeling guilty. Get some sleep and just explain to DH in the morning. Night time is a bitch for making things seem worse than they are :(

StuntNun · 19/05/2013 04:32

4 a.m. seems to be J's favourite wake up time Luis. Maybe today he'll sleep until 6.30 a.m. after this feed puhleeease.

The Tommee Tippee bottle maker does look good GT, it has good reviews on both websites. It's cheaper from Amazon but out of stock. Apparently it can be adjusted for other types of bottles - there's a MN thread about it as well.

Urgh. Horrible night. Never mind clock setting, I'm selling g to the CIA as a sleep torture device.

R went in to her big girl bed last night ready for g to have the cot. Was expecting a crap night from her but apart from some trouble dropping off (still muchess trouble than g had) she has slept through.

G has decided daddy will not do at all in the evenings. He will be with me or he will scream. I think it is partly because he feels a bit uncomfortable and partly that he is being a pickle. It is really tough though as the farm is really busy at the moment so dh is out most of the day every day and is not back till late. I have so many jobs I need to do and literally no time without at least 1 child demanding something. I really really want an hour to myself of an evening - even if i have to stay up to get it - but it isn't happening. G has completely forgotten how to sleep.

Bloody good job I love them so much.

Bryzoan · 19/05/2013 05:01

Forgot to say... Bravo pr Grin love it.

Yw thanks for the notes from your dietician appt. G had bad when I was on dairy bit not otherwise - do you think that counts as needing to avoid eggs? Extra complication here is that dh is a coeliac so I was wanting to delay gluten a couple of months too - will hop over to cmpi thread. It is all feeling not easy.

Was sure there was more I was going to say. Det you sound at the end of your tether. Hope putting the 2 boys together helps.

As kirrin said last night - would send you all sleep dust if I had any.

Hugs and survival dust to all instead.

Bryzoan · 19/05/2013 05:04

That is g had bad eczema when I was on dairy.

ValiumQueen · 19/05/2013 05:37

J woke at 4 and had a bottle after I sucked copious amounts of snot out. Then he puked. Had brufen and another 3oz and is asleep on changing mat downstairs. Hopefully he will turn a corner today.

Lily311 · 19/05/2013 05:40

Good night here, O went down at 6.45, woke at 1 than slept till 6. Apparently kids in Hungary go to sleep at 8.30 and I'm weird for establishing a 7-7 routine. Well, I much rather have a 7-7 than 8.30-8.30. Weaning guidelines are also different, my sister told me off already

Sorry det, I also think you should leave the swaddle, it can't get worst than as it is now.
gt I would buy it too.

I got a letter from social services, need to go for a meeting on thurs. not sure why as O is not even In the system yet. Not sure how they got our details either unless the court informed them (I have submitted a case here too to be able to put Leo on birth certificate and get the nationality for O).

PetiteRaleuse · 19/05/2013 06:51

Morning. LO has some excema - I put it down to genes, we've got loads in the family. W have a great cream that the pharmacist made up for her. Clears it up very quickly.

PetiteRaleuse · 19/05/2013 06:52

Strong Brew to those of you needing it this morning.

Dixiebell · 19/05/2013 07:04

What's the best way to recover from a night of 3-hourly wake ups? Toddler splash session at Guildford pool starting at 8.30am. Slides, waves, fountains, hundreds of screaming kids, not enough space in the changing rooms...what could be better? Hmm

Btw, Detective, meant to say, syn free cake? Recipe please! Hope u got some sleep in the end.

horseylady · 19/05/2013 07:31

Hugs to all

vq ds has very bad excema. I was wondering if it was dairy related. It appears to be weather related. A good bit if sunshine did it the world of good. He has no other cmpi symptoms. A litte girl who is 4 weeks older than him has just been diagnosed as lactose intolerant.
