I like your thinking PP. Start blunt then go in sharp? Or is blunt more painful? Maybe just a massive pummelling?

PurplePidjin · 18/05/2013 19:46

More like:

What do you do when the missis is on the sofa under a sleeping baby?

Go to hockey cos it's quiet?

Wrong! Hobbies are by prior arrangement and each partner gets equal time. When she's had equivalent time, you can discuss going back.

Erm... Pop to the shop for chocolate?

Nu-uh. Never just waltz out, it's not that simple for her as she has to Make Arrangements. Only go to the shop if taking at least one older child or purchasing essentials, including snacks for her relevant to her current nutritional needs.

Ok, ok... Take my shirt off and offer to take the baby?

Passmethecrisps · 18/05/2013 19:56

Good job mr purple. Fair point, well made.

ValiumQueen · 18/05/2013 19:56

Nice one YW! Lovely to hear of you enjoying decent food x

Pass, I had a season ticket for BD for three years running. I thoroughly recommend it. I was going to get one last year but the broken leg put an end to that idea. Debating whether to do it again this year, but with two kids to pay for as well it is quite an expenditure. It is wonderful as it takes away the 'where shall we go today' thoughts as you can go a few times and do the different areas each time. With little ones they cannot cope with a full day doing everything, and it is good for BBQs as well. Best avoided in school holidays although if you get there at opening time and go before it gets busy it is ok. Having a kid gives you a good excuse to go as well Grin

ValiumQueen · 18/05/2013 19:59

PP my not so fucking DH is being despatched to you and should be there between 10 and 12 tomorrow Grin please give him the full treatment, but no cigars as he gave up.

PurplePidjin · 18/05/2013 20:06

Only if you come too, VQ so we can talk fluff and leave the babies to entertain each other :o

Oh and make it more the 12 side because of the run

Wink
YellowWellies · 18/05/2013 20:08

PP Grin Grin Grin Grin

I came down this morning to find DH tossing dairy free pancakes with Jonas looking on under his arm like a rugby ball. I felt that was near female levels of multi tasking and was v proud Smile

MissMummy1 · 18/05/2013 20:08

Ultimate sleepdodging overtired whingebag here tonight

Blush
ChasingDaisy · 18/05/2013 20:12

VQ just the obvious really. Plus feeling very tired, rundown, poorly and could really do with a cuddle. And a P worthy of 'D' status let alone any 'V's.

He doesn't care one jot about how tired I am. He even hinted that he wanted to go back to bed for a few hours this morning. When I had been awake since 3.30.

TheDetective · 18/05/2013 20:21

Ok. Good start. He is in the basket inside the cot. He is snuggled in to my very dirty and smelly in need of washing nightshirt. I am hoping the smell will either knock him out, or make him think mummy is right by him Grin.

I've also given him his bedtime meds after his bottle. My reasoning being that it washes away whatever is in his throat, and will sit on top of the milk. Should acid rise, it might not bother him so much if it isn't as acidic. Dunno. But I thought it worth a shot. It was rather tricky to get it in to a sleeping baby though, as he rare occurrence these days! fell asleep with his feed.

Please, let something, anything work!!

Good fucking luck tonight people!

If we get a good night, we are going to take the boys to splashworld in Southport tomorrow. I hope we get a good night. I want to get out the bastarding house and feel human about it!

Pennie that's what we did too. First into his big cot in our room, then I slept downstairs in the guest bedroom for 3 nights so he got used to sleeping without me but with Daddy close - then into his own room. We are tending toward one night feed, sometimes two, sometimes none but usually 8.30pm til 9am so I'm cool with the odd waking as I'm getting caught up on sleep.

Dear god weaning poos are horrific - I miss sweet smelling infrequent BM poos!

TheDetective · 18/05/2013 20:51

He's made 2 crying out noises. That's it so far. If he hasn't woke by 10, I am going to bed. Yay.

Passmethecrisps · 18/05/2013 20:53

An actual child is the perfect reason to go to BD VQ! I love it there. You are totally right about avoiding holidays though. We one watched a woman throwing Doritos into the otter enclosure. While she DS this her handbag was knocked it spilling her sunny delight all over the place. Resident otter made a beeline for her handbag and after lapping up some sunny delight he started to haul out her cigarettes. She was squaling "ma fags, ma fags!". Unknown to her the wee boy she was with had climbed onto the wall to get a better view. He is about 3 and standing on the wall watching. I end up with my arm across him trying to keep his balance while his maw bemoaned the loss of her ciggies.

It was quite the scene.

ValiumQueen · 18/05/2013 20:55

Detective Pepti includes Lactose for flavour so if he is Lactose intolerant that would explain a few things.

TheDetective · 18/05/2013 20:57

Fuck Shock.

Why the fuck would they put that in? Where did you see that?

Myabe I should just go and ask for Nutramigen AA?

He's much calmer in the day, although still having 'off' times, they are less.

I think.

I don't really know anything any more!

ValiumQueen · 18/05/2013 20:59

My best memory of BD is on the ape boat. One ape got a bit annoyed and chucked a tree trunk at the boat. He just ripped it out of the side if the island so it was nice and damp. Made a hell of a thud. I saw it coming and instinctively covered DD, but the other kids on the boat were covered. There was one little brat who had pinched our seat by pushing in front, and she had mud in her mouth Grin

TheDetective · 18/05/2013 21:00

It's ok, just found the info.

Confused
ValiumQueen · 18/05/2013 21:00

I googled and it says on the website. I will go and double check. You go to the main page, and click 'agree' then it is on the next page.

Passmethecrisps · 18/05/2013 21:02

Serves her seat-pinching self right!

ValiumQueen · 18/05/2013 21:06

Aptimil Pepti includes lactose for improved taste. Deffo.

www.aptaclub.co.uk/products/special-milks-0-12-months/article/aptamil-pepti

ValiumQueen · 18/05/2013 21:06

Half way down the page, under 'how it works'

TheDetective · 18/05/2013 21:09

Yep, found the info.

Not sure what to think. I thought the pepti was improving things. Perhaps it isn't?

I think I will give it til monday, see if the sleep improves over the next 2 nights, and go from there.

I might ring paeds at work and beg for an earlier appointment and get this sorted once and for all.

ValiumQueen · 18/05/2013 21:09

May be completely irrelevant, but I recall you saying there was a cousin who was lactose intolerant?

pass my thoughts exactly!

TheDetective · 18/05/2013 21:10

Yes, DP's nephew, who is 6 months older than O.
