Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Overtired baby woke up coming out of the sling from dad's group, ate v little lunch, did 30 mins in cot then refused to go back to sleep. Howled and had both boobs twice in 40 mins so vvvdp has taken him to Lidl for teabags etc. I'm under strict orders to park my arse on the sofa!

Vvvdp has roasted lamb. But wondered why i looked Hmm when he tried to serve it up at 2:30. It is now resting pending their return...

PetiteRaleuse · 18/05/2013 15:58

we've spent the day at the zoo. We were going to go to Metz for the day but changed our mind on the way. DD1 loved it, especially the sea lion show. She was hilarious.

Took her to the loo at lunchtime. When she went I said bravo, and applauded her. Then I went and she shouted bravo Maman and clapped, much to the amusement of everyone else in the zoo loos :o

Kyzordz · 18/05/2013 16:52

Aww bless her pr

detective many hugs

ValiumQueen · 18/05/2013 17:05

Big big big hug detective.

ValiumQueen · 18/05/2013 17:08

And it was the three year old, with the poo, but not in the fucking nappy.

TheDetective · 18/05/2013 17:08

Yay for hugs!

Off for a bath with O. Bonding time!

Dp is cooking syn free cake. I will have a better night. I will! And so will all of us!

ValiumQueen · 18/05/2013 17:09

Potty even. Fuck. I need sleep and well children and a DH I can put a VVV in front of. It is actually lovely to see you refer to him like that PP

TheDetective · 18/05/2013 17:15

Mine would be getting FFFFFFP at the moment Grin.

BigPigLittlePig · 18/05/2013 17:21

Fucksticks. Wrote enormous post and lost the lot Angry

BigPigLittlePig · 18/05/2013 17:27

Sorry to hear of so many bad nights - luis, chasing, det and any others I can't remember. I hope this too will pass, very fucking soon.

Det O reminds me of how awful Fs sleep was 4 or 5 weeks ago. It really is a horrible feeling, and all the worse for not knowing what you can do to improve the situation. It's a good job they're cute during the day to make up for the nocturnal horrors.

PR the zoo sounds lovely, and your toilet story made me Smile

Kyz glad weaning is going well, and chasing too - O looked like he was enjoying his sweet potato.

Pass great idea about the CMPI thread, I eagerly await input from non-quichesters. Thankyou, and YW for your advice.

DH has been in a right stinker today, so there has been a bit of an atmosphere. But the sun is shining, and we had a lovely walk to the library this morning, and got a load of books - including some to read to F. She loves stroking the pages and trying to lick them. And pureed parsnip went down an absolute storm at lunchtime.

Dixiebell · 18/05/2013 17:38

PR, gotta live the toddler toilet comments. DS1 keeps up a running commentary on both his and my, ahem, output. So conversation in public loos goes something like 'is it your turn mummy? You doing a weewee mummy? Is it a big one? I can hear it! It's a very big weewee mummy. You need a poopoo mummy?.....' Blush

Dixiebell · 18/05/2013 17:38

Love, not live.

ChasingDaisy · 18/05/2013 17:40

Thanks pig, O loved sweet potato. He thought it was great fun to squish in his fingers and when he put it in his mouth, he actually chewed. And swallowed Shock. Amazing. Very pleased.

VQ I agree, it is lovely to see you refer to your DP in that way pidj. Not jealous at all.

Feeling very very low today.

FatimaLovesBread · 18/05/2013 17:47

I have a non-napping baby again and so much to do. Luckily DH went to cricket but it got called off so he's home again. M will only sleep in the car seat - after multiple cot attempts she's wriggled to the top of the cot and tried to escape through the bars.

I think she's teething, she has a little slit on her bottom gum - is this a tooth coming through.

I've struggled to keep up with the thread, in fact I've struggled this week full stop Sad So sorry for not keeping up with everyone else and only posting about myself.

Off camping on Thursday so currently writing a long list of everything we need. Anyone any ideas for easy camping meals??

(((hugs))) chasing, we can feel low together Smile

PurplePidjin · 18/05/2013 18:09
Blush

He's off to run with the club tomorrow for the first time since before Christmas

PurplePidjin · 18/05/2013 18:15

Fatima:

Veggie sausages with instant mash and baked beans - veggie stuff needs less assiduous refrigeration
Packet cheese sauce with pasta, tuna and sweetcorn
Burgers in pita bread - pita is flatter therefore easier to store, and doesn't go stale as quick. Lamb burgers with mint yoghurt is lush
Chicken fajitas
Tinned soup

Take a big saucepan of stew down ready for the first night - pitching a tent is hungry work - and have with fresh bread. You can toast the rest of the bread in the morning, or have french toast if it's really solid Wink

ValiumQueen · 18/05/2013 18:47

Any particular reason chasing? Apart from the obvious?

MissMummy1 · 18/05/2013 18:53

Fucking eBay. I got carried away in a bidding war snd bought a macpac rucksack baby carrier thingy for a lot more than I wanted to.

Sorry to hear of poorly babies and knackered babies.

We went swimming today and DP has whinged all day that he hasnt been able to slewp (he is currently on nights). The bugger is able to sleep most of the night at work Envy

Zoo sounded fun! We have a memvers party night at edinburgh zoo to go to on Friday night. Apparently involving a night time safari, tapas and cocktails Hmm Monthly date nights are getting hard to top Grin

MissMummy1 · 18/05/2013 18:54

knackered mummies...

BigPigLittlePig · 18/05/2013 19:09
ValiumQueen · 18/05/2013 19:13

We have a Cadac so have cooked breakfast when camping, to piss off all the neighbours mainly, then not hungry until BBQ in evening. Bit different with the kids though obviously, and we do have salad Grin

We also have porridge when sick of meat.

YellowWellies · 18/05/2013 19:17

Had my sis and family round for roast dinner. We tried dairy and soy free 'ice cream' (made by bessant and drurys made from coconut cream) for pudding as 4/8 us can't eat dairy and soy. It was amazing - so so good (especially the strawberry one) and errr we've found another food the bear goes berserk for Blush. Bad Mummy - but with so many foods off the menu it was lovely to see him go nuts for a few spoonfuls and to see his 20 month cousin have her first ever 'ice cream'. He also ate roast chicken, carrot and sword swallowed some roast parsnip to everyones' Shock Shock Shock Shock Shock Shock. Am much more confident when my sis with her baby first aid course skills is at the table.

And vvvvvvDH got him to nap in the cot for half an hour. A good start Smile the trick seemed to be to put him in his sleeping bag.

A fab day at Chez Wellies it felt like eating a normal diet - am going to celebrate with Wine later.

Passmethecrisps · 18/05/2013 19:19

Gutentag wimmins and man,

Pishy pishy weather here in scotlandshire.

We have done naff all. P spent all day in her jammies. We did go to Waitrose to get posh noms and ended up getting loads of Ella's kitchen purée. We also went to TK Maxx and bought the cat a dog bed. We like to keep things even.

I am very Envy of your zoo action PR and you MM! We looked into getting married in Edinburgh zoo but as it was in February there seemed to point. And my granny would have struggled up the stairs in the venue. Had Blair Drummond offered weddings we would have gone for that. Dh suggested we get a season ticket. Nice one!

Hope you enjoyed sitting on the sofa Pp. Doesn't sound like you get much time for that so well deserved. Your vvvdp could maybe have a word with some of the bawbags who our beautiful quiche ladies seem to have landed. Him and luis.

Great big cuddles to fatima. Sad you sound really fed up. Also cuddles to VQ, det, chasing and . . . Fuck it . . . Cuddles all round

Passmethecrisps · 18/05/2013 19:23

Good times YW! All round your lovely new table? I bought some vitalite today and thought of you Grin

PurplePidjin · 18/05/2013 19:25

He's got a couple of black belts, would you like that word with a sharp or blunt edge?
