Madame huge squishy hug x you are doing your best and you are only human x everyone is pink and breathing. That is my new baseline goal. Anything else is a bonus. Hope your day at work is smooth and you have a better night.

J had an amazingly good night all things considered. Slept in his cot with one waking for PCM. Up at 6 and has had nap since. Just vomited everywhere as my sodding syringe is playing up so he had a huge amount of ranitidine in one blast. Usually give it in tiny amounts as it is vile. Shifted a huge lump of phlegm too so not a bad thing. He looks a lot happier strangely.

DD2 still has 2 lungs Grin thank you for asking BPLP

Kyzordz · 17/05/2013 10:41

madam hugs, you're doing fab, I'm sure dp will understand you're just very stressed

breakfast went. ... banana and strawberry cereal, hates it and to be fair it was vile. Tried peach and banana pot, didn't eat much but seemed ok with it, toast... omfg mum I love it give me toast forever abd stop panicking, I can and will fit two bits in at once and eat it all!!!

he couldn't and didn't but certainly tried. He got a chunk at one point and gagged but it came forward and he spat it out. My heart was in my mouth the entire time!

thanks for the advice about new foods :)

MsJupiterJones · 17/05/2013 11:08

Kyz that sounds exactly like L with the toast! He wants to stuff a new piece in when he's still chomping the last one. Well done on not panicking it is hard isn't it but they seem to know instinctively how to handle it.

VQ that is great to hear, hopefully a good sleep will have helped him.

YW I always spend night feeds going over arguments, past and present, thinking of things I wish I'd said... For some reason night times often give me the rage. I ended up thinking about a job I left years ago and how unfair my boss was, getting really angry and composing an email in my head.

BPLP thank you that is reassuring. I am such a worrier about stuff like that. I think in the early days I used to find it so hard not to drop off with him in my arms in the chair I got a bit paranoid about him slipping down.

Kyzordz · 17/05/2013 11:53

Glad your night was better than anticipated vq

didn't mention it before as it seened flukey but he has said hello (ello counts right?) Twice now this morning both in reply to someone saying it to him :)

PetiteRaleuse · 17/05/2013 13:01

I didn't know that expression yw but yes, it is l'esprit de l'escalier.

We're just back from the airport. It's raining, DD1 is obsessed with planes at the moment and Lux airport has a cafe overlooking the runway, so we've had lunch there andnwatched planes take off and land. She was AMAZED. Great fun for her.

I booked DH in for a massage this afternooon as he is so stressed by work, so he's gone there and I am sat at home with the kids. For a change.

Bryzoan · 17/05/2013 13:14

Pr - next time I think you should book yourself a massage and leave him to 'relax' with the kids Grin. I'm sure that's what dh thinks I do all day sometimes!

PetiteRaleuse · 17/05/2013 13:15

Yes, I will but, his birthday is coming up and he is seriously stressed, worryingly stressed by work.

Bryzoan · 17/05/2013 13:16

Was a lovely thought though. I think you get wife of the week award for that Smile.

Kyzordz · 17/05/2013 13:25

That's a lovely gesture pr I am not half as nice!

ValiumQueen · 17/05/2013 13:29

Wife of the week award always includes a BJ.

Personally, I think O has a shagdetector.

He wakes up with in 30 minutes of us going to bed every night, guaranteed. Ok, occasionally he's managed to self settle. But generally not.

Last night we tried to sneak upstairs. Quiet as mice. Didn't even flush the loo. Which I can't stand . He still fucking woke. Action here is limited to playing but never reaching the end goal. DP is highly frustrated Grin. And it always makes me laugh when he stumbles in to O's room with a semi on. Hahahaha!!! Grin You've never seen a willy deflate so quickly with a babys cry!

I can't get my property porn to link properly.

ChasingDaisy · 17/05/2013 14:54

JJ that's how me and O sleep from 5am every morning Smile. As pig said it is lovely and snuggly.

Had a lovely morning. Next door neighbour and her 8 month old (Z) popped round. No crying from O, he smiled, chatted and played. Helps that she has been through the same clingy/screamy stage as us so completely understands. It was lovely seeing the babies interact, Z kept pulling O's socks off and O found it hilarious when Z was 'standing up'

So it is only family O is screamy with. Think it is the pressure they put on him as they are always in his face and wanting to hold him. Me and neighbour just sat on the floor leaving the babies to play. O gave her plenty of smiles and was very relaxed. I was a proud mummy.

Cuddling a sleeping baby and watching Great British Bake Off while trying not to fall asleep now.

PetiteRaleuse · 17/05/2013 15:03

People don't realise that babies have a need for their personal space to not be invaded too. Must be scary to have someone stick their face right up to yours and make exaggerated facial expressions and speak stupidly. Or, worse, to just suddenly grab you and then stick their face in yours and etc etc.

ChasingDaisy · 17/05/2013 15:09

Yep PR, they don't try to see things from the baby's POV. Poor little loves. The world is a daunting enough place as it is. I am glad that O does actually seem to like people as long as they respect his personal space.

TheDetective · 17/05/2013 15:13

Reflux koala baby here today. Is it nearly bedtime?!

TheDetective · 17/05/2013 15:16

And the TV has now officially broke.

Fuck you whoever keeps shitting on my life.

ChasingDaisy · 17/05/2013 15:21

Shall we declare it bedtime now?

emilyeggs · 17/05/2013 15:41

Hello ladies! I was in the Xmas pudding club, just popping in to see how you are all doing. Will try and post properly soon but have to chase a rolling baby x

Kyzordz · 17/05/2013 15:42

I reckon so but not because it's a bad day, just cos im nackered!

TheDetective · 17/05/2013 15:50

I've got the TV back on! YAY! Thanks kyz!

TheDetective · 17/05/2013 15:51

Bedtime declared. Someone tell the kids!

ChasingDaisy · 17/05/2013 15:53

O got the memo, he's asleep!
