Glad it helped clarella. I find that technique really works with P.

Was this round your neck of the woods YW? Some children would amaze you though. They have astonishing resilience and an ability to succeed against all the odds. I have had some amazing, amazing children in my care who have been like a two fingers up to every drunken granny and smoking parent of a child with CF.

Passmethecrisps · 03/05/2013 20:10

And p is also a frantic nose rubber when tired.

YellowWellies · 03/05/2013 20:16

Actually Clarella its cranial osteopathy we've had recommended - think I might book him a session with a lady in Edinburgh we've had recommended. We've also finally got a paediatrician referral for him Smile Smile Smile all thanks to our amazing dietician

BPLP my wee niece who was three months prem and who has dreadful reflux slept on her tummy when wee - it was the only way she would sleep. Given her prematurity she was at much higher SIDS risk but her docs still okayed it. Just be careful of other risk factors exposure to smoke, drinking when BF, loose bedding, overheating etc.

BigPigLittlePig · 03/05/2013 20:16

Well tiredness is certainly plausible 4am will do that to you, funny that she's never done that before. Maybe she's hit a new level of tired like her mother

BigPigLittlePig · 03/05/2013 20:18

The cat is going back in the utility room tonight. He's done recovering and back to being a right PITA. So far tonight he's half eaten the defrosting lasagne which was going to be my lunch tomorrow, attempted to nom one of Fs syringes, and is currently attempting to dig a hole to Australia via the underneath of the sofa. Bloody expensive pest.

YellowWellies · 03/05/2013 20:19

Yep pass at the St Brycedale clinic then the post office in Kirkcaldy Tesco. I love Fife but you do see some sad sights Sad glad to hear some get through despite their parents Smile

Passmethecrisps · 03/05/2013 20:25

Kick a ball in any direction in Kirkcaldy and it could land in either abject poverty or astonishing wealth. Neither direction guarantees good parenting sadly.

BP I threatened our kitty with eBay. 5am 'good morning's are simply not on. How old is pussypig?

PurplePidjin · 03/05/2013 20:27

BigPig R has been sleeping on his front since he was 4 weeks old - they get slightly warmer but it's perfectly safe as long as you have no other risk factors for SIDS (smoking, new mattress) He wears wool longies (nappy cover), a long sleeved tee shirt and a 2.5 tog sleeping bag :)

Passmethecrisps · 03/05/2013 20:36

Our 'off to buy shit for weaning' adventure went to a pile of arse earlier.

We were gone 3 hours and came home with one spoon and a bowl. The weather was DREADFUL! I left in sort of drizzle and by the time we were set to come home it was torrential. DH came home from work, collected the car seat and rescued us thankfully!

i am starting to wonder if P is beginning to get eating now. I was in M&S cafe have a coffee principally so I could feed P. she was standing on my legs while I was waiting for her bottle to warm and as I lifted my coffee cup to my lips she frantically reached out with both arms and had sort of suck lips. I can see us having a proper go next week at some point. She will be 25 weeks on Monday.

Oh and today I discovered that P LOVES the telly tubbies

YellowWellies · 03/05/2013 20:38

Pass you're about the most Zen person I've ever met - you always see the best in people and situations. I'm a big ol bitch sadly Confused

Passmethecrisps · 03/05/2013 20:39

Oh! And is it odd that she most seems to get liquids? Does that make sense? She clearly wants a shot out of cups and glasses. If you hold a cup to her lips she tries to drink. Maybe she will be on a liquid diet!

Passmethecrisps · 03/05/2013 20:44

Blush YW. I do have a shit list ya know. Once a person goes on it there is no way off it. Uh-uh. I am a bit instinctive about people. Some people go on the shit list before they have even opened their mouths.

But I am also a softy.

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 03/05/2013 20:45

B had a session with a cranial osteopath before having her lip and tongue ties released. The osteopath also held her head during the procedure and worked with her after it too. We're going for a follow up session next week. She was able to pinpoint the tightness in one side of her neck due to her being stuck during delivery, this is why she doesn't like to feed from evil left boob, she couldn't rotate her head as well to her right side. She seems to have fixed this now and she feeds fine. We're having a follow up session next week, it's all very interesting!

Sorry you're feeling shit det, it can only be good for weight loss though hey!

PetiteRaleuse · 03/05/2013 20:49

Well I have discovered that LO eats much better if she feels she is sharing with DD1. So I give the both a purée pot and DD1 feeds them both. OK sometimes she shoves the spoon in a little far Hmm but it has turned eating into a game. Of sorts. Oh well, just got to teach her how to change nappies, give her steroids so she can lift LO and then I can be off on a lovely long holiday :o

The other day LO was crying and Dd1, obviously imitating her dad (she's not that far in advance after all) said "essaye la tetotte!" , 'try giving her the dummy'

I shall soon be redundant in this household :o

My fucking cat, not content with vomiting all over the house, and on the deckchair cushions outside, just this evening killed a beautiful bird in the garden. It was still warm when I trashed it gave it a dignified burial.

No. More. Pets.

I have always been of the belief that no home is complete without a cat.

I hate admitting I am wrong but my garden would be a whole lot more complete without my fucking bastard cats.

May mother nature do her work.

ChasingDaisy · 03/05/2013 20:49

Pass O seems to 'get' drinking too. He loves watching me drink and tries to drink out of my water bottles. An full Evian bottle is his favourite toy - I'll post evidence on FB. Reminds me, I must give him another go of the sippy cup.

PetiteRaleuse · 03/05/2013 20:50
Evilwater · 03/05/2013 20:58

Hello all, I've read some of the posts. Thanks for all of the support.

decetive our p make a right pair. Should Leave them in a pit?

If I could snap my fingers, then yes I would be gone from here. We are both snapping at each other, both tired and very stressed. n is not well, and I'm also not well. I'm not making excuses but this is how things are.

Evil

ChasingDaisy · 03/05/2013 20:59

Evil I get the snapping the fingers thing. I have often felt the same.

BigPigLittlePig · 03/05/2013 21:02

This morning I turned my back for 2 seconds and F swiped my fruit toast and nommed it. Well, sucked the butter off it Confused. Not sure this constitutes being ready though, as the rug/cats tail/mussy/my hair also go the same way. She did have some more banana for tea though so I can show dh banana poo

Pass cat is 3 this summer. He was born 1 week before dhs and my 1st date. On our 1st date, dh took me to a "very special place" I thought it was going to be some dark alley which was his best mates house Hmm. Their cats had just had kittens, and 8 weeks later one of said kittens had found its way home with me. The best mate said she would throw it down a well if I didn't have it think she was joking

PR when my brother was born, I demanded pots of pureed prunes off my mum. Yum!

Evilwater · 03/05/2013 21:14

chasing- I'd have no idea where to start, if I was to move out.

I'm glad so many of you are having good times with weaning. N has just started to get hungry now, a good sign he's on the mind.

Evil

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 03/05/2013 21:28

Have been out so not managed to give j the 7pm bottle we had introduced. Last night was ridiculous for waking and feeding. He fed every two hours near enough! Wonder how direct BF will go tonight...

On the plus side DH is now off work for 16 days! Yay! On the holiday countdown now :)

fatima have a lovely holiday!

Passmethecrisps · 03/05/2013 21:41

Lol pr! There are no quichesters on my shit list. Even if there were you would not be near it.

My shit list is an instinctive, almost primal thing. Not shittin ya. It is like I can smell total cunts. DH has promised never, ever to ignore my cuntdar ever again.

evil you know how you guys work. You know what is acceptable within the boundaries of your own home. Some people would find my house very weird. Just make sure you alway come here for a sound off and know that you could cope alone . . . If you had to.

Clarella · 03/05/2013 21:43

thanks pass!

I've also had cranial o recommended and a cranial sacrum specialist too!! dunno which to choose! a friend is an osteopath so might pick his brains.

Passmethecrisps · 03/05/2013 21:44

Aw BP that is very romantic! Crispcat is very old in comparison. She is about 12 or so. Not sure because we got her from the SSPCA.

Clarella · 03/05/2013 21:45

pass g's little due date buddy gets cups and bottles but refuses an actual bottle. she keeps swiping them when we're out in cafe's at only 21 weeks!
