Thanks for the cot tips! I'll leave it tonight unless he wakes, and sort it tomorrow!

Katie Seems excessive, especially as the medication is working?

PR yes. I had him in hospital when I swore I would not Grin. I said I wouldn't give him ready made baby food - but given that he can't fucking have it anyway, was a pretty pointless thing! As it is, I make no plans now, as he is the one making all the decisions it seems!

ValiumQueen · 08/05/2013 22:24

J has had 50 oz today. Clearly the lad needs pies!

He is (touch wood) much better. Just wind now from the ranitadine, but we are managing that with time of administration and activities to facilitate bringing up said wind.

His naps have gone all funny. Would not nap this morning, but slept 3 hours at lunch.

Carrots and butternut squash for lunch. Going to add in sweet potato tomorrow and give some pear for tea too.

I learned today that in-app purchases do not transfer from iPhone to iPad. Upgraded a colouring app for DD1 as she paid for it. I now have the all singing all dancing version on my phone and had to buy it again for the iPad. Usually everything is transferable as it is the same account. Fuckballs.

Also bought a lovely fitted sun and bug cover for my precious Mountain Buggy. Usually the cover is about £90 but I found it new for £17 incl postage. I love my pushchair far too much.

Pikz · 08/05/2013 22:36

Right you fuckers am blaming you all for the fact I'm browsing the gro shop..

Kyzordz · 08/05/2013 22:38

She's doing great thankyou .pr, healing well and seems well. I keep making her eat and drink plenty and rest well :)

I said I would never feed ready made meals too. I mean the jar things. He still hasnt but I wonder sometimes if he would eat it.

Glad the wind is manageable ATM vq :)

Pikz · 08/05/2013 22:44

I said I wouldn't get suckered into buying lots of stuff and I have a house full...

TheDetective · 08/05/2013 22:49

Oh yes I did say that too pikz. Then he arrived. I went nuts. Hmm

Pikz · 08/05/2013 22:58

Question for you. LO is ace at night and does 7.30-5.50/6am with no wake ups. I know I'm very lucky.

However within an hour/ 90 mins of waking after a nappy change and an 8oz bottle he is tired and we have to rock him to sleep. Would I be better treating it as a night feed? Will it require retraining as he is used to getting up? Or is this normal?

PurplePidjin · 08/05/2013 23:02

Only thing i swore I'd never do is snap at dp for doing things differently. Obviously i point it out if he does it wrong, but not different iyswim.

PetiteRaleuse · 08/05/2013 23:23

I know I shouldn't be surprised, mathematically speaking but I just realised there are 2014 antenatal freds. 2013 is going so fast!

I wonder who of this quiche will be on a 2014 antenatal group. GT obviously excepted as she is on a 2013 quiche (I assume)

PetiteRaleuse · 08/05/2013 23:24

I'm chatty this evening.

TheDetective · 08/05/2013 23:32

Not fucking me!!

Bored and insomniac here too!

FUCKING CANDY CRUSH Angry

PetiteRaleuse · 08/05/2013 23:34

I'm going to delete that sodding app. Level 65 ish is killing me.

PetiteRaleuse · 08/05/2013 23:36

Plus the cheat to get free lives by changing the date and time has fecked up all sorts of apps on my phone

TheDetective · 08/05/2013 23:37

Yes I got stuck on 65 for a long fucking time.

I am now stuck on 70. It just isn't possible. Hmm

I will not be fucking beaten by a computer!!!

GTbaby · 08/05/2013 23:50

Pik. It's been mentioned loads. But don't buy grow bags full price!

LO is still awake. I don't get it. He is normally out like a light. After an hour of crying every time I moved he kinda settled. But I kept him on sofa. He happily played peek a boo with himself n my blanket. Then put him in his cot. Checked on him an hour later still awake.
Hate it when he has been crying last few days. He gets very upset. With real tears n my sister can't settle him so I have to rock him while I sit as I can't carry him when standing.
Grrr.

I'm getting so frustrated. Not been out For over a week. Not even into garden. Can't look after my LO myself. Relying on ppl constantly to do stuff for me. Sad

Going to try and sleep now.

GTbaby · 08/05/2013 23:52

Yes or I'm on October 2013 thread. Although scan changed due date to 30/09/13.

GTbaby · 09/05/2013 00:12

Give up on sleep. Hello dexter.

LuisGarcia · 09/05/2013 01:25

Time and sleepless sprogs permitting, I want to make this for MrsG this weekend. I am only telling you this to annoy TheDetective.

StuntNun · 09/05/2013 02:29

First feed of the night here from 7:30 (slipped dream feed due to wine!) so the six-month regression, if there is one, was only a week or so long. Unfortunately J has decided that 5.30-6 is morning and starts chatting very loudly around then.

I have to take DS2 to hospital tomorrow to see the Orthoptist. He's right at the end of the window for recovery from amblyopia (lazy eye). From six months, if you see any sign of a squint or there is a family history of lazy eye then please see the GP immediately for it to be checked. DS2 is extremely long-sighted but didn't start to squint until he was about 16 months old, if he had been diagnosed and treated earlier then he wouldn't have developed the squint and he would have retained full vision in the affected eye. Instead we're hoping for 90% vision in his affected eye and he will require one or more operations to correct his squint. J's eyes will be checked next month by my optician to see whether he is long-sighted too.

Yes Pikz that's normal, all three of mine have wanted a nap first thing after getting up!

Kyz you may find, like PR that your baby loves commercial baby food. Both DS1 and DS2 preferred the powdered baby spag bol to my lovingly prepared home cooked meals. Look at it this way, I like cooking and I can make a huge variety of dishes... but sometimes I just want a MaccyDs or a Pot Noodle.

I am suspicious of Candy Crush, I suspect some of the levels are designed to be insanely difficult to lure you into spending money on it. Some of the other Zynga games are like that, e.g. FarmVille would give you quest after quest that you had no hope of completing unless you had lots of friends that played it to harass constantly with FarmVille requests.

Dream feed is fucking pointless. Get perfectly contented, zonked baby up. Zonked baby wakes after 10 minutes, confused and disorientated. 1 1/4 hours later, baby goes back down.

For three hours.

Fuck's sake Angry

StuntNun · 09/05/2013 02:45

It doesn't work for all babies Pidj, J is the first one of mine to have a dream feed. When he starts to stir I bring him to bed and he opens his mouth for the boob without even opening his eyes! I usually only give him a dream feed if he seems close to waking, if he's fast asleep I leave him be. But if he has the dream feed he wakes around 4 for his feed, if he doesn't have it he wakes around 2 so it doesn't really make much difference to me, I get woken up in the night either way.

YellowWellies · 09/05/2013 03:05

First feed and he seems happier than during the day. Hope he's back to himself in the morning.

Det cheesely sucks ass - think salty rubbery door stop with unnatural texture and oddly heavy - bleeeeeeeeeeurgh. My sister desperate for cheese after extended BF / 1.5 years of elimination diet for CMPI spent £25 on it. Hated it. Tried to give to the cat. Hated it. Staked it through the heart etc - it would not die.... Grin Wink

ValiumQueen · 09/05/2013 04:33

Good morning mummies and Luis.

I too am jealous of MrsGarcia. He is the perfect man.

My far from perfect man baked the most awesome brownies yesterday. Made with a huge bar of Bournville and gooey as fuck. Had cranberries in. Fucking awesome but needed double cream. Off the scale of syns.

J has woken 45 mins later than last night and downed 2 oz less. He is wonderful but I wish he would sleep through again. I really enjoyed my 7 night stretch.

PR it is no coincidence that your DC have less illness when they are not mixing with grubby virusy lousy wormy brats at Nursery. But the weather being a bit better will help. I found moving from Lancashire to Scotland I was more unwell as cold bugs are quite variable from area to area. When slaves were brought here they were given an easy first year as many were unwell with new viruses to their systems. Obviously more pronounced when travelling half way across the world and treated so badly. Could the recent move possibly have impacted on things?

I will not get sucked into Candy crush, but Bubble mania nearly got me. I had to work at letting go of that one. Getting Pou helped Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 09/05/2013 04:35

It can still be sweary Wednesday, right? RIGHT? Fucking cunty arse weasly bastarding shithead cold can fucking well do one already. Have been up with F since 1, feel like death warmed up myself, she is currently groaning and snotting on me. It's starting to get light outside

Dixiebell · 09/05/2013 06:21

bplp, poor you, hope you managed to get back to sleep.

pikz, yes, normal. With ds1 I always marvelled that he could be ready for a nap less than 2 hours after a 12 hour sleep (he slept through, unlike Teddy!). But he kept it up for a long time. Ted is the same.

I reinstated dream feed again, in desperation the night before last, and he managed to go through to 4 before first feed. But last night it was 1, and then 4. Hmph.
