Tits I'm so glad you've got an answer, and a solution - although it sounds as though the tiredness might persist for other reasons Is J bf or ff? Could he have an intolerance making him uncomfortable? It sounds similar to how F was the past few weeks. Thanks Tis shit x

Titsalinabumsquash · 08/05/2013 15:15

He's bf, The dr suggested maybe I'm no longer able to meet both our needs with my milk but although he has 3 meals a day he's still heavy on the breast whenever he's on me, he will take a bottle but I don't think he'd take kindly to no more bm Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 08/05/2013 15:20

Maybe the supplements will help improve your milk and settle him?

KatieLily12 · 08/05/2013 15:20

WAIT???

There's a 6 month sleep regression? Well that explains a bloody lot.

Hi all (waves)

PetiteRaleuse · 08/05/2013 15:25

I mean improve the iron levels and other missing things. I'm not criticising your milk.

I'm crap at bf talk so just ignore me

PetiteRaleuse · 08/05/2013 15:25

Hi katie . There's another one at 8or 9 months too. And again at about 18 months. There's so much more fun to be had.

Titsalinabumsquash · 08/05/2013 15:29

Ha don't worry I'm not offended, he's a giant sumo baby so I think he's getting what he needs little blardy leech maybe he's sleep regressing? Or maybe he's miffed because he can't breath well at night?! Who knows but whatever it is I think I can see sound I'm so tired. Grin

KatieLily12 · 08/05/2013 15:30

Oh

(Sad face)

Actually I'm pondering what to do. LO gave us 2 weeks of bliss followed by 2 weeks of worst sleep ever. Just coming out of it (hopefully) and last night neighbours started hamnering at 9.15. Then this morning's nap a blow torch blew up outside. I kid you not. This afternoons nap I knew she'd be knackered and kids on motorbikes woke her up!

She was desperate to sleep and so upset. I've nursed her back off as she looked so miserable and am now looking at a perfectly sleeping baby and the time. Argh!

Let sleeping babies sleep?

KatieLily12 · 08/05/2013 15:39

Oh love her. She woke exhausted and actually looked perfectly like this :( opened curtains, gave her a cuddle and she's back on the boob. Poor thing

StuntNun · 08/05/2013 16:11

We've always used 2.5 tog Grobags all year round, just less clothes on underneath when it's hot. Mind you Northern Ireland summers are really shit so there won't be too many very warm nights. Might be different if you live in the South East.

Something to brighten your day peeps. Pussypig has been awarded Pet Of The Month status at the vets Blush

Passmethecrisps · 08/05/2013 16:18

Hoorah to pussypig! Does that get you a discount?

Hia katie! I have been reading your other thread. Very funny . . . And rubbish for all concerned.

ChasingDaisy · 08/05/2013 16:22

Ooh what's the criteria for that then pig? Did she get her claws out?

BigPigLittlePig · 08/05/2013 16:32

Pass fat chance!
Chasing god knows. Could reasonable be renamed "most expensive pet of the month". I suppose earplug retrieval is a bit more exciting than your average vets trip...

KatieLily12 · 08/05/2013 16:32

Glad you like it pass. I got fed up the other day

Kyzordz · 08/05/2013 17:13

Right, much to catch up on, the boy is asleep after one of those grouchy I don't want to do anything including eat and sleep

jj I've not tried sweet potato sticks but I can do at some point! I need to start scribbling down all these tips you've all given me I think! Today he's asleep, by the time he wakes up it'll be too close to his bottle I think.... Won't hurt to not bother today will it? I don't want him stressed and if he's too hungry he will. I think yesterday he was too hungry at tea and also didn't like the mash

stunt I think I really do just have to be patient and I'll need to see how we go. Spoke to another hv today who said the most important thing is to go At his pace, do not push it or he will regress. Encourage, yes, but not push.

I have planned this weeks meals around e. we have been eating easy crap food but we need to eat better anyway and then I can give e some of what we're having. Hv suggested things like rice cakes and grated things might be good for him to have a play with, anyone any thoughts?

That would be really useful det thankyou! Glad o liked his pear and his jumperoo. I do wish I had gotten one but he's 8.75kg now and the weight thing is 11 I think? Not got ikea bibs but i'd want bibs to be comfortable!

That's what e is like wanna! He can't get himself back again!

E is always asleep for df pass last night he had 6oz of a bottle with 7 scoops and 8oz water and slept through so he's done ok. I just don't want to stop it completely and abruptly.

Good luck mama!!

Sounds like she's doing well bplp :) e likes the spoon sometimes too, it's usually how he'll actually take some because sometimes if I try he clamps shut and moans. I think on those days I should just not bother at all?

Shitty luck with stuff breaking det, it always happens at once though doesn't it :(

Sounds like alot to deal with tits I hope the tablets help things, you sound exhausted :(

Hey katie

E has an 1 tog bag thing, and a vest and long sleeved baby grow and a blanket. It is about 20c where he sleeps and I swapped to the lighter bag because he kept waking up sweaty and was waking in the night and I thought perhaps it was because he got hot. He's been better since so I need to get more 1 togs as he only has one

ChasingDaisy · 08/05/2013 17:27

Detective it was you who has tried baby sweetcorn with O wasn't it? How did you prepare it? Steam? And cut up or given whole?

TheDetective · 08/05/2013 17:34

Steamed it for 5 minutes. Or you can boil! Gave it whole, I held on to the end while he sucked on the other end!

MsJupiterJones · 08/05/2013 17:35

Kyz it sounds like you are soon brilliantly.

Chasing I've done steamed baby corn, L gnawed all the little bits off and even ate some of the ones that missed his hair.

Kyzordz · 08/05/2013 17:36

Has a, not has an!!

Kyzordz · 08/05/2013 17:36

adds baby corn to list

TheDetective · 08/05/2013 17:43

Courgette, banana, baby sweetcorn and baby carrots my sticks weren't good enough for him! have been the biggest hit in terms of finger foods here. Most of the time though, I have to hold the food for him. Hmm

He can pick it up, but gets mad at it til I hold it and he chomps. If I let go, it ends up in the bin dogs mouth that hovers under the highchair Grin. He wants it, but is confused still!

MissMummy1 · 08/05/2013 18:26

Will catch up when I get home from work but have to share how much of a stupid fucking idiot I am. Was meant to meet some mummy friends this afternoon. Have had it in my head all day it is Tuesday I am so exhausted. Fucksticks today is Wednesday Sad They are going to hatee, aren't they?

KatieLily12 · 08/05/2013 18:33

Oh are we talking finger foods? Excellent!

Popular here: pear, banana, sweet potato, butternut squash, broccoli, roasted disks of courgette, potato wedges

Indifferent to- oats, carrot, rice cakes, breadsticks but will stick them merrily in her ears etc

Hates- steamed apple. Even hidden in oats

KatieLily12 · 08/05/2013 18:35

Oh and avocado wins too
