Yep det. Just make up the separate amounts of the different formula then mix them together.

fruitpastilles · 30/04/2013 09:17

Today is going to be one of them days. My normally happy girly has screamed all morning, she's clearly knackered and is having a meltdown.

fruitpastilles · 30/04/2013 09:18

Oh and pass chances of my brain functioning well enough to play wwf with words that have more than 3 letters is slim to none haha.

TheDetective · 30/04/2013 09:25

Thanks pass! I'll run it past the bottlemaker Dp. Grin

Amazing the difference a decent sleep and a happy baby makes. I'm already showered and dressed. Shock

My skin looks great today. SW agrees with one bit of me anyway!

BigPigLittlePig · 30/04/2013 09:26

Izzy just read your post from last night about LO vomming, and not winding him. If I don't wind F overnight, then she does a good line in either projectile vomming or epic farting.

Passmethecrisps · 30/04/2013 09:37

My skin looks horrendous det maybe I should eat fewer crisps more fruit? I have never been particularly spotty but my face is covered in red sore lumps.

We are going to walk to toddler group today. 5 mile round trip. Fresh air should do us both good. Might even get the actual buggy seat out. P has refused to be in te carry cot for over a month so we have been using the car seat. Fine for wee trips to the supermarket but I reckon the seat would be comfier.

Passmethecrisps · 30/04/2013 09:39

And det when you give it to O do not let on how disgusting you find it. Do lots of yum yum noises if you need to.

BigPigLittlePig · 30/04/2013 09:42

GT agree with what others have said - go easy on yourself.
Detective glad O is ok after the stair incident.
Evil vomming is rare in this house, unless I have coffee when it is like a constant stream. But usually only small amounts, maybe every few days. Nothing needing changes of clothes/bibs.

Sorry to hear of ongoing shitty nights. Better here last night, probably because I forced myself to sit up and feed her properly. Also changed her nappy overnight which caused much screaming and wailing as it meant waiting about 45 seconds longer for her feed.

VQ I've been making a concerted effort to wind F better, and today she was noticably less windy (bum end). She just needs some fairly enthusiastic jiggling to burp her, which I'm reluctant to do overnights for fear of waking her up. Ranitidine is really helping the reflux though, even more so now I've increased the dose a little.

Cat has been to the vet, growled and hissed at her but she's happy with his progress. He hasn't learnt his lesson though, this morning he was merrily chomping on a carrier bag. I've got a lovely case of thrush brewing (nipples) so will be off to GP later for something to nip (ha) it in the bud.

TheDetective · 30/04/2013 09:48

No pass I made out to him it was amazing! I do the boak stuff while making it!

ValiumQueen · 30/04/2013 10:10

You get used to the smelly formula, and as pass said previously, you grow to almost like it as you associate the smell with the baby.

If you are making up a mixed bottle, just put say 7oz water in bottle, then 6 scoops of one, and one of the other, then 5 and 2 etc. saves faffing with different bottles.

A Pou is an electronic pet app with games. DD1 wants a pet and this is a compromise. I have one on my iPhone, and she has one on the iPad.

gt I had SPD with my middle pregnancy only. Do not let this put you off having more, but I recommend a longer gap next time.

I always always always wind J otherwise he wakes. If winding wakes him up, then I just settle him again. He has slept through the last 3 nights, since the ranitadine started.

YW isn't it funny how we question ourselves? Your J so obviously has intolerances and your adjustments to your diet so obviously help. I think you are awesome!

Passmethecrisps · 30/04/2013 10:20

Lol det! You should see my DH making it!

issi O is going through a clingy stage at the moment. Not to the extent you describe but is very wary of other people at the moment and shouts for me when I leave the room. He seems to have just come out of a developmental leap and has learned lots of new skills, so I am putting it down to him being a bit overwhelmed at the moment and hoping it passes soon. I am very cuddly with him anyway making a rod for my own back but I am giving him extra cuddles at the moment.

He has got so strong lately. He loves standing (think he heard me express my fondness for pass's P) and doing sit ups. He has suddenly grown lots more hair too.

If the sun peeks out from the clouds today I am going to take O into the communal gardens before his broccoli lunch.

Passmethecrisps · 30/04/2013 11:05

Love that O's diet is broccoli! Good lad!

P is a bit clingier issi. What age is your LO? Currently I have P clinging to me like a koala bear watching This Morning. She chose this activity over rolling around on the floor and being in the Jumperoo. Most unlike her.

ChasingDaisy · 30/04/2013 11:12

Oh and issi O is 22 weeks tomorrow if that helps.

pass I am sofa pinned by a sleeping koala, watching This Morning. Was worryingly sad that Heir Hunters has finished Sad Blush

I am a bit of a health freak so O will be eating healthily as much as possible until he starts wanting to eat crap, at which point I won't forbid it or restrict it too much, as I am wary of creating associations with 'good' and 'bad' foods. SIL of feeding her baby chocolate biscuits fame is already taking the piss that O eats broccoli Hmm

kyz how are you getting on with all the kids? How are your mum and LO doing?

Chasing you got post no. 666 again Hmm

Nothing wrong with broccoli. I just hope that F enjoys a wide variety of foods, I would love for her to be inquisitive about new flavours and textures. I would actually be a bit sad if she finds food a battle, in the way that dsd does (only enjoys sandwiches or Italian foods ie. pizza & tomato-sauce based pasta). I lurve food. Eat anything. Nom nom.

Morning everyone. Night wasn't too bad. He slept from 10.30-2.40 then from 3-6.15. He's also not had a mammoth gap between feeds this morning but a reasonable 4.5 hours, albeit a 5 minute feed he took.

My zulily hotmilk order arrived this morning, I'm gutted, they fit perfectly but aren't actually nursing bras!!! Oops!! Wondering if I can just pop boob out over the top as they have a kind if stretch lace bit?! Would I ruin them completely do you think?

I'm wondering about my bottle idea, he has actually slept a 4 hr chunk which was good but really with BF directly he has gone much longer, say 5 or 6 hours or the record 10.5! I'm not sure what's best to do now!!!

Titsalinabumsquash · 30/04/2013 11:35

I'm back form the Dr, they're doing a full blood screening tomorrow. Apparently he can see that my reflexes and muscles are very weak so he's testing for thyroid, hormones and vitamins and blood sugars. Hopefully I'll have some answers soon.

StuntNun · 30/04/2013 12:11

You're right not to make a fuss about food Chasing. DS1's school had a big healthy eating thing - no crisps, no chocolate, have to have fruit at breaktime. He used to come home from school and ask for an 'unhealthy snack'.

Izzy when I was starting a bedtime routine with J I expressed milk in the morning so that I could give him the EBM at 5 p.m. then I would have plenty of milk for his bedtime breastfeed at 7.30 p.m. I have been worried that he was feeding through the night because he wasn't getting enough at his evening feed. How are his daytime naps? J doesn't give me much indication of being tired until it's too late. I give him 90 minutes to two hours from his last wakening then take him up to bed, pull the curtains, put his sleeping bag on him and he usually breastfeeds to sleep. Whenever he's in his cot I stay nearby so I can put my hand on his chest if he gets unsettled (apparently patting can wake some babies up). If he starts to cry then I pick him up and cradle him to get him to sleep. Repeat ad nauseum until he's asleep. I think the most important things for you are to establish a bedtime routine so he knows what's coming and that it's time for sleep, and to try and get a more predictable pattern of naps in the day. I know J will have a short nap in the morning, a longer nap at lunchtime and a short nap in the afternoon although the times vary day to day. Most babies follow this sort of pattern. If he's put down to sleep at 11.30 a.m. every day then his body will adjust to this and it will get easier and quicker to get to sleep because he is expecting a sleep. It takes time to establish the pattern but it will be days rather than week.

Been reading guys just no time to catch up, e is finding naps here difficult as there are lots of visitors and it is very busy. Yesterday he remained bouncy with only 1hr 35 mins sleep between 6:45 and 8pm. Today he isn't doing so well and had a meltdown but to be fair he is probably shattered.

Thanks for thinking of me chasing, I'm managing ok I think, just tired and busy!!! Kids are being good, baby is fine as is mum, and I still have my head above the water so to speak! Well, I say kids are being good, brother with SN that stays at school overnight two nights got himself sent home because he'd refused to stay in lessons etc. Which I would normally be 'ok' about but it's hard getting him from school when you have tea to do, Eric to feed and washing to keep up with. Never mind! I'm sure we'll be fine :)

Sorry to read of everyone's problems, and happy reading good bits too, garden sorry I can't help but lovely to see you again. Promise I'll try catch up again soon, maybe tonight :)

ChasingDaisy · 30/04/2013 13:22

Ooh post 666 again - that's weird. Somebody else can have the honour next time - three times in a row would be a bit too freaky....

Tits I'm glad the doctors are taking you seriously and hope you get some answers soon. One thing I thought of when you mentioned weak hands is carpal or cubital tunnel. I have a damaged ulnar nerve at my elbows (caused by bony elbows leaning on desks and sleeping with crooked arms) which means I have a weak grip. Sounds like it is more of an all over problem for you, but thought it worth mentioning just in case.

Izzy that sounds like a good night. Hopefully you can build on that success. I agree with stunt about everything regular daytime naps. O goes down for a nap after 90mins awake time, apart from in the evening and he seems to start yawning and eye rubbing bang on time. It is like his body has been programmed to expect sleep after 90mins. He still naps on me so I haven't cracked that nut yet, but it is my next thing to tackle after sorting bedtime sleep. I think it was stunt again who said about napping by any means and I really agree with this.
