It is why O is only on ranitidine. If we are having lactose free milk, no point giving him lactose in the meds.

garden I know how you feel. You must feel like a prisoner in your own home. I am sorry that I have no advice. I can only presume they will grow out of it. Do they have sleep items. Ewan or similar? Maybe taking one of them out could lessen the hysterics if not rid you of them.

Passmethecrisps · 29/04/2013 23:14

Going to sleep now. I had a looooong blether with dietician tonight though so will fill in tomorrow.

And P.S. WWF has made me a nutter. I sit there seething that skfhdjj isn't a word.

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 29/04/2013 23:15

Good idea about wee bit of massage pass. May try that tomorrow as we have an emoliant for his skin too as well as steroidy stuff.

So far so good. He's still asleep. I haven't winded him tho as he fell asleep feeding, hoping he will be ok as when I BF at night I don't wind either.

We always take clothes for J. He either shits through or voms all over his self. The last few days he's vomited after every feed but I don't know why.

He has one tooth and constantly wants to be gnawing my hand, finger or thumb. Sophie who is designed to be chewed on doesn't get a look in!!

Haven't tried solids since last week, am giving it a rest cos he didn't seem at all redy despite being almost 26 weeks.

Going to attempt to sleep but I can hear him stirring :(

BiscuitBiscuitBiscuitBiscuitBiscuit
Thanks for your love today. Thanks
Sry. I need to vent. As I don't want to cry infront of my family. This is so awful. I can't imagine 22 weeks like this. No way I can cope with a baby! DH is getting hassle from his bro about leaving me at my mums. So he is upset n wants to come n get me tomorrow. But I wana stay hereSad at mums. I mean here sofa is firmer n higher. If at home I think ill have to tackle the stairs n stay up stairs.

What is the strongest pain meds I can take? I'm on codrhyodmol ATM. I'm in dark so can't see spelling on packet.

Surprisingly laying on my back feels better?

Baby heart beat was more like a train today. So now I've heard train n horse. So no guessing what it is. N with this pain have decided this IS my last.
Sry I've been so mememe. I know everyone has problems. So Thanks for u all x

Izzy I hope you are sleeping Smile If not, remember that a new routine takes 3 days to click into place for baby so don't expect miracles on night one.

GT I'm sorry I cannot give you any practical advice as I have no experience of SPD but FWIW it sounds as though you are better off at your mums for now.

Evil in the interest of balance, O never voms anymore. Last time was when we gave calpol after jabs. Can't remember the time before that.

Yes PR , Luis is certainly alive and kicking my arse at WWF . if you are reading. Hope the knees are holding up.

Feeling blue tonight. But a 5 hour first stint and back in cot after 20mins so not too bad.

PurplePidjin · 30/04/2013 02:05

Not a vommy baby here, occasionally he'll bring back the last mouthful or so of feed.

2 hourly wake ups. For fuck's sake.

kirrinIsland · 30/04/2013 03:24

Thanks Brew gt Sounds awful :( I agree that you sound better off at your Mum's.

garden sorry, didn't mean to ignore your post, but no advice I'm afraid (we had the opposite problem) but the sleep associations idea ^^ sounds like a good one. Also, do you have a blackout/sun shade cover for the pram? Would something like that help them settle?

chasing 5 hours is good :) Are you ok?

izzy I'm hoping your absence on here so far tonight is a good sign?!

N seems to be going for 3-4 hour stints lately. After the past however many weeks, this feels like bliss! And getting my evenings back has made a world of difference, even though I am yet to do anything useful or meaningful with my new found freedom!

PetiteRaleuse · 30/04/2013 05:35

Morning,

8-1, 1.15-6 here. That was LO.

DD1 woke at 1 with somekind of nightmare :(

I slept better. Today should be easier :)

Tomorrow the cot goes in the other room :) so no more being woken up by dd1 or us (until we get dd1 to go sleep in theretoo)

Bryzoan · 30/04/2013 06:37

Hi all, have only read back 3 pages, sorry, but wanted to reply to stunt. Did they try an ultrasound? G is 5 months and still having them fortnightly - though I've been told they won't be able to use them much longer as he is big (nearly filling 6-9 month babygrows). The x-ray won't work till bone forms - my consultant says this starts around now (they want g in his brace overnight until his femoral heads start turning to bone - which he is looking for on the ultrasound - he can see the hip is in a good position) but that you sometimes can't get a satisfactory x-ray for up to a yr. In your shoes I would be pushing for an ultrasound now. I am wondering whether your local hospital has much experience with hip dysplasia? Ours doesn't - which is why we go to Southampton (we were referred there for dd1 because she was older at diagnosis, and our consultant said he wanted to see g too). If in doubt I would phone the STEPS helpline (they are awesome) and ask if there is anywhere near you that treats lots of hips - and ask your Gp to refer there. www.steps-charity.org.uk/

Gt - sounds hellish. Tell dh to man up and tell his brother to get lost. Stay at your mums while you need to - sounds much better. I only had a bit of spd but it bloody hurt. Hope you feel a bit better soon.

Chasing - sorry you are blue. Are you ok?

Tits - read your post yesterday but didn't get time to reply. It sounds awful - not feeling strength squeezing your hand must be really worrying in particular. I'm sure everyone else has told you to go to the Gp - but in case they haven't, I really think you should. Also it sounds like someone else needs to have lo at night and just bring through to you for feeds for a few days?

Bryzoan · 30/04/2013 06:51

Tits - hope Gp went well. Underactive thyroid is hereditary.
My mum has it too so am always on look out and hoping to blame it for being fat.

Bryzoan · 30/04/2013 06:55

Ps stunt - would be good to get scanned but don't panic re clicks. I have met quite a few babies in clinic who were referred because of clicks but show no problem on ultrasound. I do think time is important though as you are nearing the end of the treatment window for a pavlik harness - and if there was a problem it would be great if you could treat with the harness.

fruitpastilles · 30/04/2013 06:55

Morning, I'm sooo tired! S decided that 2:30 would be a great time to wake up, and stay awake to play. She didn't go back to sleep until just before 5 which is when dp gets up for work so I didn't get back to sleep and she was up for the day at 6:30 as normal!

PetiteRaleuse · 30/04/2013 07:30

I meant to go back to bed after that last post but I stupidly decided to have a go at Candy Crush. Until my phone ran out of battery. Phew. Hurray for crappy iBatteries. Both girls still asleep...

PetiteRaleuse · 30/04/2013 07:33

I've had a facepalm moment with LO. She's not having proper milk meals. I have been using 4oz bottles and obviously if she wants more than that in one go she's having to wait for a bit more, so milk has been coming in two goes. This morning I prepared in a bigger bottle and she downed it and went back to sleep. Will keep the smaller bottles for night time or water and hopefully this should make her routine easier to keep to. Geez am thick.

StuntNun · 30/04/2013 07:57

Avoid Candy Crush if you can PR, I didn't realise it was posting to my FB account for a while until my DH mentioned it. So I stopped Candy Crush having access to my FB but then you can't get past level 35 without getting other people in FB to send you stuff. Plus I suspect some of the later levels are so difficult you have to spend real money to get through them. I ended up deleting the app so I wouldn't get addicted (learned that lesson the hard Farmville way.)

Thanks for the advice Bry I wasn't too worried about J as the only symptom is an asymmetrical leg crease that he had had since birth. The clicking only started recently. My other two boys both had scans done but DH took them so I don't know what kind of scans they were.

You need to look after yourself GT not be concerned about what others think or want. Because you're pregnant you come first, H a close second and everyone/everything else a distant last. I had a slipped disc, bursitis and sciatica last pregnancy, not quite the same as spd but the pain was excruciating. I took co-codamol as little as I could and paracetamol the rest of the time. Please remember that you need to look after yourself now, especially while H is small. When the baby arrives you will need to be fit to look after two small people one of whom will be at the cruising/walking stage. It will be no good if you are wrecked after struggling to keep doing things in pregnancy that you really didn't need to. I'm sure you know all this already but those around you need to be giving you more support. It'll be no good if your MIL expects you to keep doing housework. Hopefully some of the spd sufferers on here can give you some more useful tips. I'm sure there are things you can do to help such as keeping your knees close together i.e. swivelling to get in and out of the car, putting both feet on each stair as you go up and down, leading with your strong leg going upstairs but with your weaker leg going downstairs.

I was addicted to Farmville too. Have been game free for almost two years. But at last this one has some element of logic to it. I'd like to go back and do the early levels again though.

YellowWellies · 30/04/2013 08:11

8pm til 3am then 3.30 til now! I've been stopping him sleeping by smelling like a dairy FFS. There is something strangely satisfying about DH being the one waking to a crying baby and asking me to come up and feed / silence him Grin Grin Grin Right tonight is going to be the charm that sets the pattern hey? as if bet its horrific but can but hope

Det you might have to do a gradual switch over to nutramigen by mixing a quarter, then a half then three quarters with your existing formula.

Izzy bad skin, vomming and crazy sleep patterns - really sounds like a wheat intolerance. Cut wheat out for 3 weeks if you want to test by elimination. Look at food label allergy advice - wheat is on these if in a product. But basically most baked goods and pasta is off the menu Sad

Passmethecrisps · 30/04/2013 08:34

Morning.

Someone remind me to buy Kalms later.

Anyhoo. P had a nice sook on some melon this morning. It was straight out the fridge so very cold but she seemed to like it. It was from one of these boxes of fruit salad so really watery and a bit rubbery - she sooked it flat. She held it herself for a wee while but didn't realise when she had dropped it and kept sooking her fingers.

fruit oh noes! That sounds horrendous. Poor you. secretly hopes that this makes her rubbish at WWF

TheDetective · 30/04/2013 08:37

I suggested that to DP YW but he said the amounts would be wrong, as the two scoops are different sizes, and different quantities make up the formula.

Mind you, having just written that down, I've come up with an idea. Told DP and he just gave me a look to say fuck off Hmm. Could make up 7oz bottles of LF then a bottle of pepti jr and add an ounce to the LF at each feed. No?

Then adjust the amounts as days go on.

Might try that tomorrow.

I'm going to have to go and weigh myself today. I don't know if it is just me, but I look visably bigger FFS Angry. Fucking SW if that is the case!!!!

TheDetective · 30/04/2013 08:40

I've had a lovely sleep thank fuck. O woke as we went to bed mid shag last night. Went off with some furious patting from DP Grin.

Anyway, he woke at 6.30 and I got up, and all went quiet. So I jumped back in bed. He woke at 6.55. Fed, then back to sleep til 8. Awesome.

Looks nice out today. We are going to take O to the park to feed the ducks!
