New thread! Hope this is ok :)

OP posts:

Rubena · 22/06/2013 08:03

Sorry I think I've ground the thread to a halt again with exercise talk. Will keep it on twitter!

Vagolajahooli · 22/06/2013 08:09

I'm here up early at the swimming pool for DS1's swim squad. He only has 2 weeks left until they break up for the holidays, I'm going to miss my Saturday morning ride down here to the pool.

sybilfaulty · 22/06/2013 12:40

Am flying solo as dh gone into town to buy new suit. Just got new sofa covers- hurrah. But girls decided to play catch WITH AN EGG so new side covers in wash, less than 24 hours after their arrival. Not even the 4 y old but the 6 and 8 y old. They are bonkers.

sybilfaulty · 22/06/2013 12:42

Side covers - sofa covers.

Oh and I am in pool of people for redundancy. Wish they would just do it so I can move on to next thing. Grr.

Rubena · 22/06/2013 15:23

Ah sorry to hear Sybs. Yes it'd be better if they just didn't drag on with these things.
Sounds like sofa covers arrived just on time. Seems to happen like that here. Dd was out of bath with new white co pjs on only 15 min. In garage playing scalextric before bed. Dh was there too!! next thing, Covered in bike grease. Last time new pjs and vomit 5 min later.

Ds swam about 2.5 meters today unaided at his lesson. Was very proud. And relieved for upcoming hols.

Just back from village fete. Bit crap. Got fleeced at the bouncy castle slide thing, Then pissed rain so retreated to coffee shop before the walk home.
Arti how's the sil?
Lady tell us about Spain. Pics on fb?

JamInMyWellies · 22/06/2013 17:53

Sybs that sucks. But if you want a positive story. When DH was made redundant when DS2 was about 8wks old it was terrifying but actually was the best thing that happened to us. Especially for DHs career much better now.

Today we have constructed new closets for our bedroom. It's all go in the jammy household.

beans37 · 22/06/2013 22:08

Jam, I'm on the cake diet too. Just the chat about exercise is making me tired. Yawn!am in fact in bed already. V busy weekend, so need some sleep. Dropped kids off with ILs yesterday, then drove down to Kent for wedding. I did bridal make up then a reading. Then big party, which was ace, then drove back to Mum's for 45mins. Up this morning, back to pick up kids, the DD2's bday party, then early night and down to Surrey for a wedding party (actual wedding was Czech one) with girls tmw morning for the day. Feel like I may be doing too much and pushing it a bit. Zonked and starting to sleep badly. Next weekend is my bday weekend and I won't be doing a thing. Hah.

beans37 · 22/06/2013 22:11

Oh missed loads of posts there. Sybs, that's an arse. When do you ACTUALLY find out? Total hassle re sofa covers. But v amusing!

Mckayz · 23/06/2013 17:05

Sybs that is crap. Sad

We're finally going on h

Mckayz · 23/06/2013 17:06

Oh bugger.

On honeymoon. Not until April next year but we are going to have one 2 years late.

spotofcheerfulness · 23/06/2013 21:33

Sybs, sorry to hear that, but I echo what others have said about it maybe being a step towards something better? Do you have a plan B or are you waiting to find out about exact details before wasting the mental energy formulating one?

LALALALALALA to exercise chat. Actually, I'm just Envy. Realise I never reported back from leaky ladies - it was even more hideous than I expected (tubes in fanjo and bum, bladder being filled with water then having to cough until I pissed myself standing up in front of two strangers). Am on the waiting list for a TVT op, which apparently is done through the abdomen so will be a little bit of recovery time - not ideal when I'm starting a new job...

Went to a comedy hen do yesterday - we had a class at Pineapple Dance studios on how to dance like Michael Jackson! Bunch of late 30-something women grabbing their crotches and going "hee hee". Dignity has not featured much in my life at all of late...

TAKE IT EASY< BEans.

Happy Belated Birthday to R, Kayz - and even more belated honeymoon! DO you know where you want to go yet?

How do you construct a closet, Jam? is it an in-wardrobe space divider? Need some more clothes storage ideas. Actually, need more clothes. Where do you working lasses get your work clothes from these days? Have spent the last 5 years working in jeans/jogging bottoms .

Rubes that is ace news about B's swimming. Hope if he is pox-bound it's not too hideous.

Vag did you take a pic of yourself before and after one workout?! Blimey, you guys sweat more than me if you can tell the difference so soon!

Deids you are a machine. That is all. Grin.

spotofcheerfulness · 23/06/2013 21:36

Oh - and who is FR on Facebook? Have seen 14 of you guys are friends with her but not sure what the nom de plume is...

Honsandrevels · 23/06/2013 21:50

Oh spot that's awful but very funny. At least they were strangers and you'll never have to see them again. Can't help with workwear - university departments are neither smart or fashionable.

Sybs Catch with an egg?! That was never going to end well...

Beans Hope you are planning lots of rest and naps this week.

Mckayz · 23/06/2013 22:01

FR is currently at uni Spot if that helps.

We are going to Barcelona. So any must do's are very welcome.

DeidreBarlow · 24/06/2013 11:48

Hello, hello, hello! Spot, the leaky lady clinic appointment sounded grim. But at least it can now be sorted. I am actually Envy about the MJ dance lessons! I loved MJ!! That would be a fantastic way to spend the day Grin

Beans you seriously need to slow down and start taking it easy...when are you due? Btw. Is your DH still doing the bike ride?

Can't wait for Wimbledon I love a bit if Nadal grunting (so does vagWink).

Kayz glad the honeymoon is getting sorted. Better late than never.

Lady are you about? And Summer, ZJ...we seem to have s few absentees. Hope we've not bored everyone with exercise chat!

beans37 · 24/06/2013 14:34

Oh Spot, that just sounds heinous. At least you didn't shit yourself as well, so it could have been worse! Doubtless, I would have done!

Yes, you're right, I should slow down, but am only 6 months preggy, so don't feel like I have a right to slow down yet! But am getting there. It's not a state of mind exhaustion, it's a proper physical thing.

DB, DH is indeed still doing the bike ride from 28th July for 2 weeks. Joy. I have managed to get myself some help for most days while he's away and will be in North Wales for the majority of it. Hopefully Mum might be there for a bit too, so I can hang with her a bit.

So, DH put up our ginormous new trampoline yesterday. 14ft. HOnestly, it's obscene, but the girls are LOVING it! I can see it will be very useful indeed over the summer! Dog also loves it and leaps around underneath! Genius.

Kayz, how lovely to have a honeymoon date in to look forward to and Barcelona is just fab. I think that's where Lady is at the moment? Or are you back, Lady?

Sybs, how are you doing today? All ok?

Rubena · 24/06/2013 16:00

Beans! 14 foot crikey! Well you've certainly got the garden for it. At first I read it as though the dog was bouncing on it with the kids Grin Well done on dh's for getting it erect in the dark! (the trampoline you dirty minded people Grin) We went to an open day at the leisure centre yesterday and it was free soft play and free bouncy castle slide thing - the kids were beyond giddy. Now you'd have been able to fit one of those bouncy castle things in your garden. It was the size of a basketball court (it was on one) dd wants one for her birthday Hmm

Spot, sounds a bit grim (but funny description!) How long until you get the op? It's that tape thing right?
I'm on 6am standby for work tomorrow. Hate hate hate this.... Can't milk the emergency pox leave any longer.... It's only once a year but by God it sucks.
Have done the floors and bathrooms, had a Nanna nap, ibuprofen industrial strength for my headache has kicked in, now really must take the dog out before collection of small people.

sybilfaulty · 24/06/2013 16:37

Hello everyone

I am sorry to hear of the indignities of the Clinic, Spot. I hope that they can get it sorted for you swiftly.

I am having my first redundancy meeting tomorrow. I should know more by then. AM seeing a pal on Thursday who reckons he could give me freelance work if it all goes tits up. I need to ask him how much and what's the wonga. I am quite tempted to tell work to get lost, even though the payout is pitiful, as I can't stand the thought of working there again. 15 bloody years I've done there. Am being treated like shit. Not happy.

MomOrMum · 24/06/2013 16:54

Hello long lost friends!

If the title of this thread refers to any more babies for any more Dec 08 Mums then allow me to squeak on at the end here before this thread is full!

Just had the 12 week scan on Friday and all appears to be well with our number 3. Very glad to see others throwing caution to the wind on this one as all of my RL mum friends think we're loony!

I need to run out of the office but I'll catch up on the thread on the train home and do a proper post....

Mckayz · 24/06/2013 17:21

Yay MoM! Congratulations! I am six weeks into having three and I love it. There are hard moments but our family just feels right now. How are you feeling?

Honsandrevels · 24/06/2013 21:32

Wow congrats MOM! How many of you are there now? I'm sure this counts as a baby boom!

DeidreBarlow · 25/06/2013 07:49
