crikey arti Shock

Happy Birthday to R Kayz and Happy Birthday to P Beans.

Rubena · 20/06/2013 09:39

Struth Arti! How's she feeling about it all?
Happy birthday littles - what did they get? Stuck for ideas for dd.

Mckayz · 20/06/2013 10:49

Oh yeah. Happy Birthday to P Beans. Hope she has a wonderful day.

Rubes I got DD a little pop up ball pit which both the boys want to play in. It appears to be a hit with all ages.

beans37 · 20/06/2013 10:57

Happy birthday to Mini Kayz!

And to my little P! 3. Unbelievable. And another one champing to get out. How did this happen? Woke up at 2am, which is the time DD2 was born and the new one was beating me from the inside out!

We bought DD2 the trampoline, but loads of other tat too. Got this reduced to £11.99 in store at Toys R Us and seems to be hot fave. And with DD1. Not sure if that helps, Rubes. Hr godfather has bought her a balance bike. How generous is that????

Am currently baking a chocolate cake for her party on Saturday. It smells so good I'm going to have to stop myself from biting a chunk up of it!

Nolda · 20/06/2013 11:01

Happy Birthday to R and P!

Rubena · 20/06/2013 11:48

They already have a play tent thing that came with balls. About a million of them and they are all over the floor Angry she's also got ds's old balance bike. Poor girl. Let the hand me downs begin!
Ill have to get her something girly to distinguish between it and something ds will take over. Although he still will.
Ds seems a bit lethargic. Wonder if its the start of pox Blush

Vagolajahooli · 20/06/2013 13:30

Bloody hell Arti that is super scary. Is scuba diving bad for pregnancy? They are in fluid so maybe ok for bub. But I think it might increase her risk factors like air embolism. How recently did she go scuba diving?

Happy birthday P & R, I nearly fell off my chair when I read R was 3!

Rubes this was about the distance between ds1 & 2's pox. Sorry but I giggled at the grease story. I do wonder how these dads hold such responsible jobs! Poor DS2 has significantly more head damage when with dh.

DB & Rubes did an intense work out this morning. I think I will hurt tomorrow. How are you girls going?

Poor DS1 had a bike bingle yesterday and has a nasty graze, ouch.

DeidreBarlow · 20/06/2013 14:58

Arti that is so scary for your SIL!Shock How is she feeling about the pg now?

Happy birthday to minikayz & beans DD2. I did a double take at her being 3, wow time flies

Vag good effort on the workout. I'm going good today was day 15 of my 30. In total I'm down 1" on thighs, 1" off hips and 2" off waist. But I'm convinced I took my waist measurement wrong at the start!! My knees are tender in a morning but just till they get warmed up then it's fine. But I'm definitely getting stronger as I can now do proper push upsGrin

Took DS to his first proper swim lesson last night to be told he'd switched times but forgot to tell me Angry. Anyway it's worked out for the best as he has now squeezed him in at the same time DD goes, but in the beginners class. So off I go again tonight, poor man was so sad last night he never actually got in the water.

DeidreBarlow · 20/06/2013 14:59

Rubes how's DS?? Could well be the pox, how long ago now since DD first broke out?

Rubena · 20/06/2013 15:27

Vag, did you think mini Kayz was 3!Grin! I'm going ok, although today feeling a bit bloated and weird. Period just around the corner, but weird thing is, I had an odd bleed about a week ago just like a period, so going to check with the GP next week. I'm sure my body is just in shock from exercising! Blush you can follow along on twitter Vag!

Deids, that's some bloody fantastic progress. I bet you did take measurements correctly, you've just done / doing really well.
Glad ds is excited about swimming. Sounds like the companies we've used - so badly organised

DS is at pre-school, just 3 hours today so will go and get him in a bit. It has been about a week and half - dds first spot appeared on the 9th eve then was covered on the 10th. It could well be on the way for ds, but he also has been waking early so may be just that..... we shall see. I'm on high alert. Am on call next week for 3 days but mil is adamant she will be fine to come - eek.

This hay fever is killing me. Was never really a sufferer before.... hopefully that means a really nice Summer is coming Hmm

Vagolajahooli · 21/06/2013 10:49

Woops that should have been a P not an R.

I feel for you Rubes, DH gets really bad hayfever, it consumes him sometimes. He's like a druggy looking for when he can get his next fix of antihistamines. To be honest the only thing that has ever helped was homeopathic stuff but you have to start taking it in late winter to be ready for spring. He didn't take it this year and he is suffering big time. He's had a few years off because he always remembered to start it. Now he's on the nasal spray and tablets. I'm getting him to take the 24hr stuff every 12 hours, hope that is ok but it wears off after 8hrs.

I've got three of the boys friends coming over this afternoon and the weather has kindly decided to open up and piss down so can't even send them outside. So will do the indoor equivalent and stick a movie on with some popcorn. Poor DH is working from home so hope he hasn't got any we important work calls.

Did an evil work out today. I don't think my upper body will ever be the same. Those inch losses are awesome DB. I didn't measure but have taken a FMIO before shot and hoping the after shot shows a difference.

Vagolajahooli · 21/06/2013 11:35

That should be FMEO

Nolda · 21/06/2013 12:48

Well done on the inchloss DB and the full press-ups.

Vag, I'm being dim today, what's FMEO?

DeidreBarlow · 21/06/2013 13:00

Nolda I think it's 'for my eyes only'. Vag I was going to go for the photo me in my undies is too much even for me Grin

I have a strange compulsion to go for a run Shock. Not far maybe just 2 or 3 miles. I'm intrigued to see if this circuit lark has improved my overall fitness....Hmm

JamInMyWellies · 21/06/2013 13:07

No stop this exercise. Is no one on a cake and crisp eating marathon like me?

DeidreBarlow · 21/06/2013 13:43

I like to see it as me coming out of winter hibernation. That and the fact I want a few Wine this eveningGrin. Wish me luck I'm off for the run!!

Rubena · 21/06/2013 13:58

Go Deids!!!!! Dh gonna strap his hr monitor on me for my next outing Shockhe has a freak day at home and took ds to preschool on bike trailer plus going back for him later. May go too Shock
No Jam, but we're also not making a human. You have a license to eat cakeGrin
Nolda I didn't have a clue what that meant either.

Went to gp just now instead of waiting for this silly gotta see the nurse for more birth control lark. Not bothered at all about breakthrough bleed and said could be increased exercise. Also suggested 3 months at a time pull taking with the one I have. Works for me.

Vagolajahooli · 21/06/2013 14:27

You have to see the nurse for more birth control??? What is the three month pill is it instead of usual one or just every three months. I could go for something like that.

Jam growing people is like exercising all the time.

Sorry for the confusion, I actually don't think it is a legitimate acronym, I just threw it in.

Nolda I'm glad dh's thing isn't more serious. I was a little concerned that he was having the test you mentioned, but that sounds better than what I was thinking.

How did the run go Deids. I did a sand dunes 5km race last year with a fair bit of training leading up to it. I'm doing it again this year but have not run as much but I've been doing strength training. I'm interested to see if I am any faster. I'll obviously have to deal with the reduced cardio but it's only 5km.

Rubena · 21/06/2013 14:51

Vag, they just make a nurse appt to take blood pressure every 6 months before they let you have another prescription. She's the one who does the smears as well - dunno maybe it's just at this practice. It's big so perhaps that's why. The pill I'm on is apparently a good one for people who do back to back packs ie just have a period every 3 months. Haven't done so for ages but going to for summer as don't want period on hols etc.
Well done Deids! So proud Wine tonight for you. Tweet with us Vag!

DeidreBarlow · 21/06/2013 15:04

Ahh soaking in a hot bath and I can feel the life coming back to my legs!!

Jam, your having a baby...your in training now for the big day! Which will be harder than any run or DvD we do! Grin

Vag, my legs felt heavy from all the squats etc but I ran it all (only 2.6mile). It was also pretty humid out so that might explain my tomato face and sweating. The strength work has definitely helped keep my overall fitness up. Last time I had 6 weeks off running I was stop start all the time and felt sick through most if it. You'll be fine with a 5km.

Rubena · 21/06/2013 15:12

Deids well done. That's about the same distance as I've started doing. I'm jogging most of it but still have to stop now and then. How long until I won't have to at all? Please tell me it's soon. Given that I did zero exercise the whole Winter, I'm guessing it will take some time!

DeidreBarlow · 21/06/2013 15:17

When I first did the couch to 5k thing for race 4 life I reckon it took me about 3 months to run anything like that distance. So your doing great. The funny thing is once I got to 5k I found it a lot easier to go further than it was to do the initial 5k iyswim.

I need a nap nowGrin

DeidreBarlow · 21/06/2013 15:20

Oh and vag come join us in Twitter it's a virtual support group! For the Wine as much as the exercuseGrin

Rubena · 21/06/2013 15:48

Thanks Deids that's great news. I vaguely remember last summer bring able to go much further than I can now but I think that was by the end of the summer and Ive literally only started this time about 3 weeks ago! I'm quite determined as my sister in law ran that half marathon after training from scratch only 4 months earlier and I'm a little nervous she'll want me to take her on a route she can do when they arrive as she's continuing to train for another in Nov. and she's older than me eek!

Rubena · 21/06/2013 15:49

Yes I'm loving the tweetercise group! Please join Vag!
