New thread! Hope this is ok :)

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
DeidreBarlow · 07/06/2013 13:06

We have a big trampoline, DCs live if but all they do I'd bounce up and down. No tricks. I'd be too worried if they started on the backflipsGrin

Rubes I think your right just setting yourself time to do something is the best way forward. The first two days hurt like hell doing the shred. Too many squats & lunges. But felt quite easy this morning(even my push up has improved). So I'm going to up the anti and go for level 2 tomorrow, a whole 5 days early ShockGrin

Jam congratulations! Saw the scan pic on FB! Are you going to find out the sex at the next scan??

Rubena · 07/06/2013 13:14

You're a machine Deids !
Yes I watched a bit of it on YouTube. I'm crap at push ups, are you doing full ones or the easier? i might start using my little weights again for some daily lunges / squats until this arse improves somewhat, as I found them recently when we cleaned up the garage.

Rubena · 07/06/2013 13:16

Jam are you finding out pink or blue at 20 wk scan?

DeidreBarlow · 07/06/2013 14:05

Nah I'm doing the easier version on my knees. I did try the full version, managed 2 and fell on my face! Ha ha I've got really crap upper arm strength.

Rubena · 07/06/2013 14:36

Ah yes, that fall on your face thing... Know it well. I once could easily do the full ones. Back in my youth..... Will try tonight.
Bored now. It's sort of raining here. Dull.

Artichook · 07/06/2013 14:48

I've never been able to do a full push-up, my wrists hurt if I try. The Shred nearly killed me. I need to lose weight badly since DS but I don't think I have the energy for exercise. I'm trying to avoid simple carbs but with BFing I can avoid all carbs. Not sure where to start really. You know how I lost 1.5 stone last year? Well my post birth weight is exactly what it was before I lost any of that. So I have to start all over again Sad.

DeidreBarlow · 07/06/2013 16:10

Aargh lost my post!! Arti it's too soon for you to be worrying about dieting. But when you are ready at least you know how to do it and that it will come off. Dis you rate the shred then?

Pre school are kissing my arse after the letter I sent in copying in the HT. They have said more positive stuff about DS in the past 2 days than they in the last 12 months!

DeidreBarlow · 07/06/2013 16:11

did you rate the shred? I really shouldn't type so fast!!

Rubena · 07/06/2013 16:41

Arti. It will fall off. 3-6 mths you'll be back. That's the exact same weight I had put on after both mine. As Deids said, you know how to do it.

Deids good result with the letter. Should have pulled out the big guns earlier!

Nearly out of eggs again! I should get some chickens.

ZuleikaJambiere · 07/06/2013 17:41

Hey everyone, I'm such a flakey member of the gang, sorry.

I've seen Jam's scan pic and Arti's gorgeous video on fb - both wonderful

How is the smallest member of the group? Has your MIL put a sock in it yet about his name Arti? I saw your threads and I was very cross for you

I'm coming down to London in 10 days - Wednesday 19th - and will have about an hour to kill between 11 and 12 ish in Victoria or surrounding area, if anyone is free to meet up?

Must sign off as the bus stop is in sight. Happy weekend everyone, enjoy the sunshine x

DeidreBarlow · 07/06/2013 17:59

Rubes, yeah I'm pretty pissed at myself that I never stuck up for DS sooner. Not sure why not either, I'm not one to keep my gob shut as a rule Grin

JamInMyWellies · 07/06/2013 19:30

Thanks for all your kind words this morning. As I know you have all seen everything is good and just the one, phew Grin

Got to out the fellas to bed but will be back later for a proper catch up

beans37 · 07/06/2013 22:23

Should I be weeing this much?? About every 15mins I feel bursting and a fair bit of wee comes out, but I'm still in the 2nd trimester (by a week) and can't believe it should be this often?? Nervous of bladder infection...

beans37 · 07/06/2013 22:23

Ooh, ooh Jam! Yay for good scan! Hurrah! Xx

sybilfaulty · 08/06/2013 07:41

How is your wee this morning Beans? If it is a bladder infection then it will burn and sting. You need to be careful though as it can travel up your ureter to your kidney and then get really nasty. If you are suffering from stingy wee (as opposed to just doing it a lot) then it's OOH for you. Don't take the over the counter stuff - get straight in there with some proper drugs. And drink plenty to flush it out. It's very miserable for you though. Big hugs.

Lovely news on the scan Jam.

beans37 · 08/06/2013 08:55

Thanks Sybs. It seems to be a bit better this morning. Off to Bicester later. Sadly not to splash cash on new clothes, but for SIL's 40th. Taking girls too and they and I are all holed up on inflatable beds tonight and DH is camping in a field as not enough room for us all. Think I lucked out there! Would be different were I not up the duff!

And then racing back tomorrow morning to go to a BBQ in the village. Should be a lovely weekend. Come on sunshine!

Mckayz · 08/06/2013 17:00

Beans, hope you don't get an infection. My stupid body misses out the burning part and goes straight to kidney infections. I only get them while pregnant.

LadyT, have you eer got round to driving again? I am looking into it again.

Jam, glad the scan went well. Smile

sybilfaulty · 09/06/2013 11:26

Where is everyone? Has all our wee talk broken the thread?!

Had friends over yesterday and have a street party today for the Big Lunch. I have made 2 pavlovas (one for yesterday and another for today) and am about to make a Victoria Sandwich. All nice and sociable. No sun though which is a pain. Maybe later.

Mckayz · 09/06/2013 13:25

I've just signed up to do a Macmillan coffee morning in September. I'm not sure if I am mad trying to do this. But will start finding recipes and try to rope my Mum into helping me.

Rubena · 10/06/2013 09:07

Sybs no one often arou d much at the weekend. Due to that I rarely log on either. Don't think wee talk killed the thread. If beans poo and the other subjects don't, nothing will!
This weather is crap, what happened to Summer? and now the pox has finally showed up here. Bad timing though on my only day both go to nursery - urgh. Better now than on hols next month or when school starts [sigh]

Artichook · 10/06/2013 09:18

Oh no Rubes! Have they both got the pox? I hope it's not too bad, mine were so ill with it and scarred for life but I know loads if people who hardly suffered at all.

Sybs your weekend sounded lovely. I adore pavlova.

Jam, you haven't told us whether you are going to find out the sex yet. Will you? Do you mind one way or the other?

DS is soooo spotty, he looks like a little gargoyle. I know baby acne is common but this is a bad case. I haven't taken a photo of him in 10 days! Someone told me to eliminate dairy from my own diet which I am trying but it means I can't have my morning coffee and quite frankly that is torture after the night I had! Mmmmm cappuccino, I miss you.

Rubena · 10/06/2013 09:36

It's dd. We suspected last night then as shes bern fluey and more whiny than usual and a few red dots which could have been any virus really, then this morning she slept late and wandered out covered. She's actually in better spirits than yesterday and more appetite too just not looking so hot Grin fortunately Ive been expecting it for so long I stocked up on some good stuff when in the US last but dh also going to pick up more paracetamol etc today, except bugger he's working late. No sign on ds so dh dropped him at preschool. Assume his will come next week. I'm on call for work this week but will have to use my emerg childcare issue card which I'm told I can get away with once a year and the pox top of list for reasons. I'm assuming ds will follow and wipe out next week [bigsigh]
Very impressed with my db and his dp. They placed 66th in their ironman team event out of nearly 200, I believe, and their bike guy pulled out late stages so my bro did swim and bike legs while his dp did her first competitive run.

Arti dont think my 2 got that acne thing much. What's the general treatment. Prob do nothing I guess?

DeidreBarlow · 10/06/2013 11:24

Arti DD got quite bad baby acne. Someone told me to squirt a bit of breast milk on the affected area, think it actually helped! Although I have no scientific reasons for thisGrin

Rubes huge sympathies on the pox. DS's was horrific, he has a few scars that will never go. But considering about 80% of his body was covered he did well to not get more scars. DD got about 10 spots and never bothered her. She came out exactly 2 weeks after DS.

Shred is going well, but I'm finding the cardio on level 2 a killer, quite a jump from level 1. I took various body measurements at the start so it will be interesting to see if it works. Not expecting a huge weight loss but am hopeful to lose a few inches.

My SIL gets married this afternoon (they have been engaged for 16 yrs!). Very low key do, but its odd being on a Monday. She's having a night do but both my DC's are at school tomorrow. I think she thinks I should have taken them out of school but I'm a bit of a stickler for them being at school as much as possible, and they are already having today off. DH thinks we are going to look like right party poopers going early (although he does agree they should be in school). Mind you DH is still at work, so hopefully he'll be back in time to even get to the registry office!

Mckayz · 10/06/2013 11:27

Rubes, DS1 came out in spots exactly 2 weeks after DS2. They were both absolutely fine with it, weren't ill or anything. They both have 1 scar which was the first spot that appeared.

Arti, DD had quite bad baby acne and I was just told to leave it and it would clear up and it did.

Deids, I hope DH gets back in time for the wedding. It is a bit strange having it on a Monday.

Rubena · 10/06/2013 12:19

Ah ok thanks - 2 weeks would be fine Smile he cannot get it more than 3 weeks after though. Should be just ok if he gets it from her. 4 weeks later would be bad, 5 would be disastrous Hmm
So far she isn't phased - more fascinated. Most of them are just red spots but a few hare a bit gooey, which I have put calamine / pramoxine on, but don't seem itchy... yet.... I'm guessing that comes when they crust up? Urgh. She's a proper picker though with scabs and cuts normally so I'm dreading it, and her nails have been promptly cut ultra short!
Deids how funny your sister decides to marry after so long - why the super long engagement?
Well done with the shred. I'm feeling good about just my little walks / runs. I need to buy some better scales though. Ours broke so have some that cost a tenner in Boots. They are ridiculously inaccurate! I'm thinking of getting some GP analogue ones Hmm
Argh.... gonna be stuck indoors all week aren't I...
