Why how kind and generous of her! We've got one now but didn't have one for dd1 who was a tummy sleeper too. Ours is a tommee tippee one that was on special in mothercare for £69 so not too bad.

Sadly, the truth is that no-one really knows why sids accurs. Rationally, it is a tiny risk made only slightly higher, and it seems logical that the bigger/older they are the less the risk - plenty of toddlers roll into their tummies to sleep which is never considered a problem.

We had a good night in that we only had one wake up, but we did then get up at 5! Yawn! I'm hoping a pub lunch in the sun will make up for it.

Spotty our windows are also stupidly wide (nearly 3m) all ikea curtains are 3m by 3m so they fit! The curtains we took down were from Dunelm Mill and also fit. The ikea ones are cut down to your own length and come with ironing tape to hem them. Not too expensive either. If you like I'll have about 4m of blackout material left over after doing the nursery. I can send it to you for postage cost? It was cheaper to bulk buy 10m than the 6 we needed.

My DSs reflux symptoms are (very) occasionally being sick, quite often seeming to get a nasty taste in his mouth when straining to poo etc causing him to shudder and pull faces, waking up as much as once an hour overnight and feeding often through the day, snotty nose overnight but not in the day, cough overnight but not so much in the day, getting hiccups all the time, sneezing quite often, and sleeping better on me than laying down (tummy sleeping is also 'good' for reflux so that may be why it's helped your DS).

Oh lucky WL I want a pub lunch! Dp is off to golf for his brothers birthday and I'm waiting for the food shopping Smile

Stacks that would be so kind. My mum's friend will do any alterations for me for a small fee. I will look into curtains too as eventually we will need to swap rooms with dd.

Ds sneezes lots, always gets hiccups when he laughs (he used to get them a lot more when he was younger). Rarely sick and when he is it isn't much. Hates sling. Used to hate car seat but ok now. Always hated being cradled as a baby. I'm not sure what is relevant there but that's how he is. He doesn't seem to do that nasty taste in his mouth thing....

Perhaps our Guildford meet could be a nice pub lunch!

Oh I love that idea!

I put ds down for his morning nap, he kept pushing up on his tummy so I put him on his back and settled him then turned him over, patted his bum and he was asleep in 30 seconds Shock

Great news spotty

We could go to the anchor at pyrford which is just off the a3 and right on the river - it's prob 1/2 junctions from Guildford towards London. I'll post the suggestion on fb so everyone can see and we won't lose track of comments. I'll suggest some dates later when I can look at my calendar.

Yay, sounds promising spotty. They say good sleep breeds better sleep!

Going to try LO on the boob again as soon as he wakes up :) hoping it doesn't take too long to get my supply back to where it was.

So nice here today so going to meet some friends in the park for a picnic lunch.

Good luck ski hope it all goes well.
hales bless her! Weaning can be such fun! I'm really looking forward to it, the next 6 weeks will fly by - cant believe she'll be half a year so soon. Met a baby born just a few days before T today but was v prem - still weighs less than T did at birth! Enormo baby rides again! Tiny was super cute but I do so love Ta chubby cheeks and rolly legs - and I did that with my magic milk!

Hi all, been MIA for a few days. J's still up! He'd exhausted but fighting it and won't sleep at all. At this rate we'll be in bed and he'll be up watching the telly. I cannot get him down or to sleep on me even sob!

IsThatTrue · 05/05/2013 22:31

Oh willyou that's so hard, I take it you've tried pram/car?

I am grumpy as DH is off on a course tues-weds (back around 8pm) then working in a different office thurs so he doesn't get back until 7pm, he flies to India on Friday for 2 weeks. So tomorrow is a lovely bank holiday and he plans to play squash in the morning Angry any other week it wouldn't bother me but this week I just want to spend time with him before he goes!

DS is sleeping nicely in his cot, considering I kept him up and hour after bedtime as I was de-nitting dd's (very long) hair god I hate nits I feel I have my punishment for that is yet to come!

Dp is really pissed off with me Blush he's got a really bad chesty cough and has just woken ds up having a bloody half hour coughing fit so I said 'you're going to have to go downstairs' and he's gone off in a right strop stomping around and moaning loudly to himself?! Confused

This morning he said he was going to go downstairs last night because of his cough but I said not to worry about it (as it was nowhere near this bad!) so I don't see what his problem is!

Willyou my Dsis has a theory that her DD becomes unsettled whenever the weather changes

Report
halestone · 05/05/2013 23:19

Significantly, and remains unsettled for a few days. I think there might be something in that theory just because in my head babies are only just learning new things so adapting to new weather must play havoc with them. Maybe J is hating the sudden difference in heat? I've started leaving H in just a vest in the house during the day, after her being really clingy the other day. Hope he sleeps for you tonight.

Sorry about your DP's Isthat and Spotty

Thanks for the well wishes. He had boob all day then gave him4oz of formula before bed in hopes that he won't keep waking up hungry. My boobs feel like they have nothing in them but he has been happy enough and peeing and pooping so must be getting something.

Had such a fun day in the sunshine today, with a picnic lunch in the park. DH put DS in the swing and he loved it! Giggled away! And he was excited to see some other babies too, seems to be a pretty sociable guy.
