Good luck pigj!

Hmm WL, I did try in the shower last time but was so empty was pretty difficult. Might try again though, good idea. Is it easy enough to aim into a bottle?

SpottyTeacakes · 01/05/2013 23:13

It's 26 WL Shock ds is wide awake again....

halestone · 01/05/2013 23:21

Good luck pidj

Its warm here also i'm unsure of the actual temperature, but H spent most of the day just in her vest. And if i tried to put anything else on her she just got ratty.

Wee i've been reading that thread also i giggled away to myself last night.

IsThatTrue · 02/05/2013 02:45

WL I've a fat chance of getting diamonds!! I was so excited when I could get my rings back on. I still have days where they're snug but generally I'm back to normal.

I've found that the temp is different in England. When u was pg and went to Dubai, in fils house overnight 20 degrees was beautiful and cool (even a little chilly) whereas at home 20 degrees was stifling. It depends what temp they're used to to how you have to dress them etc.

2nd wake up. He slept 8-11.15 and 11.45-2.30. Fx he goes back to sleep sport!

SeymoreButts · 02/05/2013 02:50

Great news that it's starting to warm up there now. It's suddenly quite cool here, down to 20 degrees today. I'm really looking forward to winter Grin

Fingers crossed pidj. It's always the way, if you've got somewhere important to go nothing seems to go to plan!

WL I hope DD1 has a lovely day on Friday. Is she your oldest? My DD1 is 7 now and a big help with DS. That's news to me about the diamonds. DH owes me a few then... I wonder how I can make it seem like it was his idea??

Spotty I hope everyone is fast asleep there now. Ha! to 'Its just coming out of my bottom now'. I'm quite looking forward to DS starting to talk just because toddlers say the funniest things. DS1 and DD are all grown up and sensible.

Mama That's a beautiful cot. Envy

stacks I hope you had a better evening/night. Flowers

So I did something really silly this morning. I needed a suitcase down from a high shelf in a wardrobe and stupidly stood on a child's chair. Just as I got the suitcase (which was under loads of stuff) the chair snapped and I started to fall backwards with everything from the shelf coming after me! In the second it took to hit the floor I thought that if I hit my head on the bed frame I'll be knocked out, and one of the falling bags has weights in it, DS1 won't know what to do. Sad Luckily I managed to fall so that I didn't hit my head and the bags all landed on my chest and thigh which is really purple now. It made me realise that I'm on my own with the kids for days on end, and DS1 has no idea what to do in an emergency. He's nearly 5 but very young for his age. I've just taught him our address and tried to talk to him about getting help from neighbours but I don't think much of it went in.

When DS1 rushed in to see what happened, I made sure I pointed out "this is why we don't climb" Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 02/05/2013 05:22

We've had a pretty rubbish night. Ds has a horrible cough and cold. We're on third wake up and he's been taking an hour to go back down...

SeymoreButts · 02/05/2013 05:30

Oh no spotty Sad I hope he has some decent naps today so you can rest a bit.

I've hit a tired patch, I had two 90 minute stretches of sleep last night. Might explain why I nearly killed myself earlier. Blush

2blessed · 02/05/2013 06:23

Not posted in ages.

Sorry about rubbish night spotty. junior olbas oil may help if his nose its blocked.

I also wrapped my arms around ds to remind myself how blessed I am when I read your earlier post. My thoughts are with the family.

weejo we're shopping for a cot bed this weekend, seems most economical for us.

I've started to get into a housework routine. Most mornings ds wakes up somewhere between 5 and 7 for a feed/change and then goes straight back to sleep for another 2 hours. Thats when I try and do things like mop or tackle one room for a good ole clean. Try is the crucial word in that last sentence cos sometimes I'm just knackered Confused

Taking ds for his 16 week (though he is 17 weeks today) jabs today. I'm getting conflicting advice on calpol, did you give before, just after or waited for signs of fever? He was fine after previous jabs, I just gave him a bottle of ebm as soon as it was over and that was that.

MaMaPo · 02/05/2013 07:22

2blessed, C had such a miserable response to the first set that I have calpol in advance for the second and third round. She was much happier. Might be unrelated but I doubt a single dose of calpol is a very big deal. Good luck!

Jeez, Seymore! This is why we don't climb! You're lucky you're ok. You really need more sleep.

C up again for an hour at 3am. I just left her to sing to herself in the cot and tried to doze. After a while she got grizzly, accepted the dummy and went back to sleep. So a bit sleepless but not so bad.

ISpyPlumPie · 02/05/2013 07:35

We've got jabs today too 2blessed. Really late due to N being on antibiotics when he should have had them. He's a little bit sniffly but no temp so just keeping fx they aren't delayed again.

Hope interview went well Pidge.

Ouch Seymore! Hope you're ok.

SeymoreButts · 02/05/2013 07:52

I feel like such a plum! DD was upset about her chair, until I told her what happened and then she couldn't stop laughing.

2blessed I usually wait for a fever to develop first, it doesn't always happen. I'm impressed with your early morning housework!

mama glad you managed to doze a bit, I've started doing the same while DS has a little sing to himself in the wee small hours. Hmm

ISpyPlumPie · 02/05/2013 11:41

Jabs done at last! He's just having a lovely long feed now.

SpottyTeacakes · 02/05/2013 12:36

Glad it's all over with ISpy Smile

After a two hour morning nap in his cot Shock ds is now in his cot again for his lunchtime nap Shock

I'm eating my body weight in houmous mmm

WLmum · 02/05/2013 12:46

seymour Grin Sad!! Hope you are ok. Yes dd1 is my eldest, next is dd2 who will be 3 next Friday and then there's Dd3 at 4.5 months.

ski yep, once I got the hang of it it was easy.

We had another terrible night - T went down at 8, up 1-1.30 then 2.45-3.45 and 5.30-6.30 when DH took her. I've decided it's time to start a bit of sleep training. I'm going to let her have a max of 30 mins boob then put her down and shush/put/offer dummy/her fingers. If she gets upset ill pick her up but not give boob. I think she's got so dependent on boob for sleep that when she's in a light sleep phase she'll only sleep with the boob in. It was the same with dd2 and I struggled on til she was 8 months but wish I'd tackled it earlier. A few tricky nights and then she slept all night.

WLmum · 02/05/2013 12:51

I'm done being a human dummy! Don't mind feeding but had it with hours of dummying.

SpottyTeacakes · 02/05/2013 12:51

WL ds has forgotten his thumb and will only fall asleep in his cot sucking my finger Hmm

WLmum · 02/05/2013 13:11

I'm scared of hurting her mouth with my nails. I hate the thought of her being sad and it will be a shock as she hardly ever cried but 3/4 hours sleep is just not sustainable - I have to consider the impact of zombie me on dd1&2 and DH - he is being super good but at some point I'd like to spend some time with him, and even dtd! I scared myself the other day as I was so tired twice I haven't done up Ts car seat properly. She would not have been safe in an accident.

Stacks · 02/05/2013 13:31

Seymore - glad you're ok. A lesson for us all around not climbing. Made me wonder what would happen if I fell with just DS here. I guess he'd be ok home 'alone' till DH came in from work, but I'd hate to have that happen. Got to be responsible now.

Wl good luck with the sleep training. I've thought about it with T, though if its reflux I'm hoping he'll be better soon. With DS and his night waking a I've found that he'll suck the side of my finger instead of boob when kind of asleep.

Hope LOs with jabs take them in their stride.

PurplePidjin · 02/05/2013 13:49

I didn't get it. The person who did has managed to piss off every single member of staff for one reason or another (also internal) including me - which is not an easy thing to do!!

2blessed · 02/05/2013 14:04

Yay! No more jabs for 8 months! He screamed for a minute and then was fine. We went to music group and had fun there and made plans with another mum to meet next week. However, he is now very irritable, think he's overtires so off for a walk.

Glad your LO is ok after his jabs ispy.

Sorry you didnt get it pidj

IsThatTrue · 02/05/2013 14:10

Oh rubbish pidj

We had a bad night again. And today he's only napped for 2x20 mins. But I think we have a tooth, so that could explain it. He's been having bonjela, calpol and teethas. He's just shouted for half an hour and is finally accepting the boob.

OP posts:
SpottyTeacakes · 02/05/2013 14:14

Sorry you didn't get it pidj Sad

IsThat have you got your nappies yet?

WLmum · 02/05/2013 15:37

Rubbish pidj. I hate it when a crap person does a great interview so gets a job they're not really fit for. Hopefully they won't last long and then you can step up!

T is so close to rolling back to front! It's so exciting!

SpottyTeacakes · 02/05/2013 16:20

So after ds's two hour nap this morning and 30 minutes at lunchtime he fell asleep at two, woke at three for a quick feed (more like a dream feed!) and is still asleep?!

WeeJo08 · 02/05/2013 17:07

Big day today!

DD rolled the other way today! So that's rolling to the left & right back to front. Still no front to back though so lots of frustration when she can't get back!

Weigh in today too so C is now 14lbs 12oz :) Still in 25th but not at the bottom of it anymore! Grin

Glad injections went well! Grin
