Thank you O!

BigPigLittlePig · 04/04/2013 17:12

Just tripped over and kicked the shit out of a fucking inflatable fucking zebra. Am on the brink of a total meltdown today Sad

TheDetective · 04/04/2013 17:13

He said ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh acccccchhhhhhhhhhhreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Or something along those lines. Grin

TheDetective · 04/04/2013 17:15

Sorry BP. I really sniggered til I read the last part of your post. Perhaps take your mood out on the fucking inflatable fucking zebra? It might help?

Otherwise, have a ((((hug)))) to make PR and VQ jealous. Grin

ValiumQueen · 04/04/2013 17:16

bp it will get better. How old is LO?

TheDetective · 04/04/2013 17:17

I just text DP about collecting O's prescription from the GP, and getting some calpol from care at the chemist, explained its free etc.

He will be walking past there in about 15 minutes on his way home.

So he texts me back 'you have my bank card'.

Errrrr.... did you miss the bit where I explained its free. Sometimes, I swear, he was born minus brain.

Or it's in his knob

ValiumQueen · 04/04/2013 17:17

Not jealous at all detective I know you want me Grin

ChunkyEasterChick · 04/04/2013 17:18

BPLP what do you want to do right now? Have a hot cup of tea, have a pee in peace, eat choc? Can you do it right now? If not, plan to do it and DO IT. Take 5mins for you. You need a break. Hugs.

TheDetective · 04/04/2013 17:22

MN need a halo emoticon.

Can I just share with you my Hmm tale today?!

I posted a thread on here about Infant Gaviscon. Had a few questions, and wanted claificiation. Didn't really get any answers, so I rang the manufacturer.

I spoke to a very shirty woman on the phone. She would not could not answer my questions, and kept referring me to the patient information leaflet given with the Gaviscon. I kept explaining this did not answer what I wanted to know. After a very difficult spiky conversation, she told me she would pass my questions to the medical team. But told me I needed to see my GP. The questions I had the GP would not be able to answer! Bloody manufacturer should have been able to answer them easily!!

That was yesterday. Today, they rang me back I had 8 missed calls in an hour all of a dither - same rude woman, demanding to know if I had done any of the things from my 'hypothetical questions'. Well, no. I have not. Otherwise, why would I be ringing to ask? Hmm She then said if I had she would have to report what I had done? Report to whom? I just laughed at her, and said unless she had anything more to say, I was busy, and goodbye. She then said the medical team said no to all my questions, and see my GP.

Brilliant. Just fucking brilliant. GP had no idea - I've just had a telephone consultation with them.

RAAAAAAH!!!!!

YellowWellies · 04/04/2013 17:30

VQ I skim read earlier so missed J's epic news. Sleep karma! Am so chuffed for all at Castle Valium. Its true though isn't it - growth spurts and sleep regressions aside it isn't normal for babies, who are naturally very sleepy critturs not to sleep to such an extreme degree - there's usually an intolerance in the mix.

Who said about their wee one fussing and tearing off the boob during day times - J's doing that now he's realised how fascinating the world is. I have found the best way to keep him latched is to stand up and feed him for the first couple of mins, swaying gently and if he's really fussing to sing and pat his bum at the same time. Yes the postman and various other pedestrians have got an eyeful on occasion Blush Smile

MM Yey on the bugaboo - a good use of the insurance money as you were persuaded to buy a cheap buggy against your better judgement by the bloke who wouldn't be using it every day - a good one is so important. I've walked 7 miles with ours today and love it. Wish I'd bought the ex display city mini baby jogger I saw in boots last week (for just £100!!) its gone now, and that was our next planned pushchair for when J outgrows the sola. hey ho Confused

kirrinIsland · 04/04/2013 17:37

Yay for sleeping through VQ Grin

bplp take 5 minutes for yourself. As I explained to N this morning, some things just need doing and she'll just have to deal with it! I had to have a shower so she had to lay in her cot for 5 minutes. Grizzling or no grizzling. Thanks

PetiteRaleuse · 04/04/2013 17:38

DD1 reminding me why the snip was a good thing :o

DH back. A little waddly but no real pain, went very well. Your DHs can be reassured if they are considering it.

ValiumQueen · 04/04/2013 17:38

detective what on earth were you thinking of doing for them to want to report you?

ValiumQueen · 04/04/2013 17:42

yw I could feel really angry about it all as I have been saying to the professionals that there was something wrong since he was 8 weeks old. I will not though. I am just gonna enjoy the most wonderful baby (for me) on the planet Smile

TheDetective · 04/04/2013 17:46

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/breast_and_bottle_feeding/1721476-Tips-on-Infant-Gaviscon

The only other question was if we could add anything else to a feed which contained gaviscon, ie: gripe water.

TheDetective · 04/04/2013 17:47

I'm quite Confused by their response really!!

Ah well. Hmm

I know what you mean about trying not to feel angry about it. If I think how I was treated when O was at his worst, it makes me want to do bad things. So I do not think about it. And instead feel angry that HCP's would treat someone in that way grrrrr.

PurplePidjin · 04/04/2013 17:57

Dp found me sobbing trying repeatedly to latch an exhausted screaming baby on Blush think we woke him up Sad but I'd been feeding for nearly 4 1/2 hours by that point and he just wouldn't rest. Tied them into the sling for a walk to Costa and soaked in the bath. I now feel marginally more like a human bean Hmm

MissMummy1 · 04/04/2013 18:01

YW the My3 is a cracking pushchair and is absolutely fantastic offroad and for walking B-dog etc, but for everything else (trains, shopping, nipping around the village...) it is far too big and clunky. I will still use it though as I do like it a lot. We have the wee pink luna for all of the latter jobs but I always fancied a Bugaboo and thought what better use could I have for my insurance payout?? ignores student overdraft Grin It was a bargain too, and my mum wants to keep the luna at hers so everyone is a winner! (and I will stop spending money!!) Boo to the BJCM though.

We took M swimming for the first time today. Swimming in a public pool during the school holidays is a big no no. Never again. As DP said, the only redeaming factor in the pool was the fact most of the chavvy parents' tatoos were spelt correctly. I have never seen so many badly behaved children. Tilly loved it though - especially a shower with dad at the end of it. We will be doing this at home now (co-showering, not swimming!)

Det call centre people are twats. Full stop. Insurance company call centre workers at the top of the list Angry.

It looks like Tuesday's crash is going to go through as joint liability, so I am losing my 4 years fucking no claims Angry

ValiumQueen · 04/04/2013 18:02

I guess as the guidelines are to make feeds as needed, so I can understand their reluctance to answer the question about adding to feeds in advance, and also the heating question. They should have answered question about the dose though. Have you asked the pharmacist? If no luck ask the Paeds ward.

StuntNun · 04/04/2013 18:03

J has had a feed and fallen asleep on my lap. I need to make dinner. A bad thought crossed my mind: put him in his cot that will wake him up. Wink

It will pass Pidj, it's not forever hun. I was in an awful state two weeks ago with near constant feeding and terrible sleep. Now things are so much better. Concentrate on taking things one day at a time and it will be over soon.

ValiumQueen · 04/04/2013 18:04

tatoos were spelt correctly Grin

ChasingDaisy · 04/04/2013 18:06

MM I was a call centre twat team leader Grin

MissMummy1 · 04/04/2013 18:12

VQ it's been a long day.... The highlight was the chav with all of his organs tattoo'd on his back. Nice. I like tasteful tattoos, these were anything but! Confused

Chasing you didn't work for an insurance CC? Obviously there has to be some rule breakers - all of the ones I have spoken to today are twats though.
