Hi all, after a couple of posts re weight thought I'd just ask how all our little ones are coming on weight/ height-wise.

Niamh was 12lb 11oz 06/09/06 and 61 cm (8lb 6oz and 51cm at birth).

She hasn't gained as much weight as some of the others here but is still gaining weight steadily and is thriving so really not worried. She's perfectly in proportion and is very happy and alert, think she's just a little on the petite side, which is fine coz so is most of my family, and so were my DH and DSD.

We're just putting up the blackout blinds in her bedroom as she's starting to sleep through the night (not every night yet, but hopefully soon!) so I'm going to be putting her in her cotbed for her afternoon naps to get her used to sleeping in her bedroom, with a view to getting her to sleep there full time soon. It's a little sad but is also very exciting as it really makes us realise how much she's growing and developing

Haven?t been on in a while. Work is hectic, and yes asur, I?m still exclusively bfing. Spend 30mins of my lunch hour closeted up in an office expressing! Plan to start weaning when I finish on 13 October as DS will be 6 months on 20 October. I hate working, I must say. I?d just rather be with my DS.

DS is still sleeping through the night, on the whole. He?s a little poorly right now, but nothing serious, and I?m worried, so my heart goes out to you louismummy! Weigh in later today. No rolling over yet, but EVERYTHING in his mouth and wants to stand all the time! Bit stressed as we moved house last week! But all?s well this end!

Love to you all.

Hi all

Bea is 20 weeks old

she is still very teeny tiny, about 12lbs 1 but strong as an ox and can roll and semi-crawl. she looks like a tiny dolly and has a very serious expression except when she sees me when she looks just like this:

she is still fully bfed and I am hoping to wean her with nice milky mashed potato just after 6 months. Actually she will be just 6 months on dd2s birthday so maybe her first food will be cake

asur · 18/09/2006 11:33

welcome mummymic

SAHMof1 - I'm impressed that you're working, still bfing AND moved house. I moved house 2months before DS was born and that was hard enough, can't imagine doing it now with him in tow. At least you've not got too long till you finish work and get to be home again with little Isaac. I've got 3 weeks left at home then back to work full time, trying to make the most of my time with DS now. Before I had him, I didn't think I would mind returning to work if I had to but now I know I'm going to miss him loads has to be done though.

No idea what DS weighs, haven't had him weighed since he was 10days old. He's huge though - feel like I'm getting a good workout carrying him about all day

Squidgey - we had to move DS into his own room a few weeks ago. His crib broke (he was too heavy for it) and we didn't have time (or energy) to move his cot into our room so just put him in his room for that night. It seemed fine though so we've just left him in there. Was a bit weird the first night but it's great having my room back and not worry about waking him

Hi Enid - nice to hear how your dd3 is, she sounds very cute, I bet her big sisters adore her.

I can't belive some of our lo's are 20 weeks old!! That seems so big and time has flown by. Theo is still the little chilled out boy, he is so adorable, I am absolutely gutted to be going out to work tonight.

He is loving his baby foods, his favourite is my butternut squash and carrot. Although I have just made him some sweet potato for him to have for lunch and have to tell you how easy it was! I just put a large sweet potato in the oven (alongside the casserole I was cooking for the rest of us) for 1 1/2 hours. I took it out, split open the skin and it was all lovely and soft so I scooped it straight into an ice cube tray, no need to puree or mash or anything, SO much easier than chopping, boiling and pureeing and no washing up! He'd better like it now!

Just saw this in active conversations so thought I'd pop in! Ds2 is 19weeks or so, and weighs 13 and a bit pounds, so quite little - he's somewhere in between the 2nd and 9th centile lines, but he's very agile - he's been rolling for a while now. He's also had his first ride in an ambulance, when he was very sick and went totally white, cold, limp and floppy - NHS direct didn't even get a nurse to phone back, they just sent an ambulance. But he was fine. I'll put a pic on member profiles for a bit, so you can see how ultra cute he is! We haven't started solids yet, am going to leave it till 6 months as he seems too weeny for proper food yet! I'll post a link to a picture in a minute!

tortoiseshell · 18/09/2006 11:59

here he is

squidgeymiller · 18/09/2006 13:04

awww tortoiseshell he is LOVELY!! What a cutie!

PS, glad to hear Niamh not the only baby that's smaller than the charts say she should be! She's also exclusively BF (with a little baby rice now!) so probably to do with that

mummymic · 18/09/2006 13:36

tortoiseshell your boy is absolutely divine - my willy gilly is 19 weeks and i have just applied to work form home for 6 months - cant stand the thought of leaving him for any more than the time it takes to go to the loo!!!!!!!!
not started him on solids yet...but i think we will be doing in the next week or so, he no longer wants to have booby juice (before bed and 6am) so i have tried allsorts (had tips on other threads but not working! ) so we have bottles during the day - my ds weighs just under 16lb and has rolled over once - he gets nearly there but then stops! must dash as ds and dd are calling me!!

sniff · 18/09/2006 19:08
